Chapter 45 Kara's Goal

As the tension subsided, Dimas held the ice spear steady, preventing it from reaching Iris. Levi and Kara kept their swords poised at Solomon's neck, ready to act if he made any sudden movements.

"Make one more move and you'll regret it" Levi said with a scrunched up expression.

Dimas turned to Solomon with a stern expression. "That's enough, Solomon. You've proven your point."

Solomon gritted his teeth, his pride wounded by the interference. "But Master Dimas, I was just—"

"You were just about to seriously injure a fellow student," Dimas interrupted firmly. "That's not what we're here for."

Reluctantly, Solomon lowered his hands and the waves surrounding Iris dissipated and the ice melted. Levi and Kara stepped back, and moved towards Iris, checking to see if he was okay

Meanwhile, Iris stood up, brushing off the water from his clothes, with a gesture thw water in gis clothes dissipated and he was dry. He glanced at Dimas with a frown. "I could have stopped it, but thank you."

Dimas nodded back in response, his gaze shifting between Iris and Solomon. "All of you, return to your respective training routines for the day. The spar is over for today."

Solomon complied, albeit begrudgingly, while Iris nodded and stepped back, taking a deep breath to calm himself.

Once the immediate tension had dissipated, Dimas turned his attention to Levi and Kara. "Thank you for your assistance. However, I must ask that you refrain from interfering in academy matters unless absolutely necessary."

Levi gave him a side eye. "Yeah." He said lightly.

Dimas nodded in acknowledgment. "I understand your concern, but here at the Georgalis Elemental Academy, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all our students. Iris wouldn't have been hurt as you just witnessed I was able to protect him. Besides this academy is filled with strong masters." He led them to the elders.

Turning to Iris, Dimas continued, "As for you, Iris, I must say I'm impressed by your abilities. You handled yourself admirably against Solomon, especially considering your limited training experience."

Iris offered a small smile, thinking about certain events of the past . "I've had plenty of time to train believe me." He said with a solemn expression.

Dimas returned the smile. "I have no doubt that you'll excel in your studies. Now, let's get you your uniform what do you say elders? ."

With that, they made their way back to the academy halls, the atmosphere lighter now that the tension had dissipated. Along the way, Dimas engaged Iris in a conversation about his training goals and aspirations, offering guidance and encouragement along the journey.

Back at the academy, they convened in a private chamber where Dimas, Iris, Levi, Kara, and the three elders sat down to discuss the events of the spar.

Elder Francis cleared his throat, addressing Iris directly. "Iris, we must apologize for the unexpected turn of events during your spar with Solomon. Your abilities and composure under pressure were commendable."

Iris nodded respectfully. "Thank you, Elder Francis. I understand that emotions can run high in such situations, especially in a competitive environment."

Elder Francis nodded in agreement. "As we promised, a letter has been sent to the head family in Karalis to resolve the issue with your identity. And we await their response. For now we shall let you school here, and payment isn't needed, this is on us."

The other elders murmured in agreement, their expressions serious as they deliberated over the matter.

Iris and the others were surprised but they were pleased with the turn of events.

"Well you could start you training today, or tomorrow" Dimas said,

"Could you give me a week to get ready, there's some unfinished business me and my friends have." Iris replied, "it's about the Qi training we told you about."

Dimas realized what they were speaking about, " Oh yes. The Galanis family. They are the head family of Jordan, they own an academy for training Qi. Although they are mainly an earth element family they still have strong Qi users. Plus they train the military of Jordan. They are strong.".

"We need an audience with the king, the head of the Galanis family." Everyone turned to Kara when they heard her spoke.

"Why?" Elder Francis asked.

Kara exchanged glances with Levi and Iris, they nodded at her. She turned to the elders, "I am Princess Kara Dawn, daughter of king James Dawn of Dawnville in the seven kingdoms."

Dimas frowned"by the seven kingdoms, you mean..--"

"Yes the no name continent, the one that's currently at war with each other. Dawnville is one of those kingdoms, it was taken over by the tyrant. King Steven." As she said this she turned to Iris.

"So you want to take back the city of Dawnville, from this said Tyrant..?" Elder Francis asked. Kara nodded with a firm expression.

"And you want to ask for help from the Galanis family head to aid you in this conquest?" Dimas asked.

Kara sighed, "i know its not that easy, but I want to try. That's why I want to join their army, work up the ranks earn their favor, and the favor of king George then maybe I'll have a chance." The elders all looked at Kara with pity. They could only imagine the amount of weight on her shoulders.

Dimas turned to Levi, "and you is it the same story?"

"I was a soldier. I swore to her father to protect her and I intend to honor that promise to the end." Levi said this with his fist to his chest, this caused Dimas and all the elders to look at him with respect and he earned the admiration of Kara.

"And you ?" Dimas asked Iris,

"For now I just want to get stronger and also i want to know who I am and who my real family is." Iris replied.

"Very well. You children have been given so much responsibility. I pray to the gods that you are able to accomplish your goals." Elder Francis said to them.

Iris received his uniform, placed it into his ring and he left with levi and Kara.

With the matter resolved, Dimas dismissed the group, allowing them to return to their respective activities for the day. As Iris, Levi, and Kara made their way out of the academy, they exchanged a glance, a silent acknowledgment of the challenges they had faced and the bonds they had formed along the way.

As they stepped out into the academy grounds, the sun setting in the distance, Iris couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the journey ahead. With each passing day, he was one step closer to unlocking his full potential.
