Farewell

"So I was thinking…what if you became an actual student?"

"...Eh."

"It'll be fun! Wait, no. I want to show you off like a trophy. Staying as an attendant is definitely better. Mn." She nodded to herself.

"Why? Is it really that important?"

"What do you mean why? As the successor of the Lyon Clan, I have an image to uphold! It is a traditional rule that has been passed down for generations! The next head of the noble family must be upright and dominant…"

Tessvulin went on a long tangent while Shu cut into the fancy steak. He ate slowly, occasionally glancing at the passionate woman. Her tail and ears were constantly moving as she explained her thoughts.

The two could be found in the dining room. A long table that could house at least twenty five people sat in the middle of the floor. Shu and his fiancé were on opposite ends of the lengthy material.

A slight smile adorned his face as he dug into the side dishes. Multiple plates of food filled the area in front of him. He ate in an elegant manner, his utensils barely making any noise.

'She will most definitely be sad tomorrow.' He thought.

Since his arrival, he'd overheard many Lyon clansmen and maids commenting on the fierce woman. This had apparently been the happiest she had been in a long time. The burden of nobility couldn't be seen anymore.

Shu had gotten what he came to Veldhoven for. Once this dinner was over, he would begin his journey back to Valsir. Always the wandering swordsman. He was never in one place for too long. The sleepy man wanted to inform her of his departure, but he knew it wouldn't turn out well.

The power dynamic of this kingdom showed that individual choice didn't matter too much. If he told her, she would most likely have her father send multiple figures after him. It was going to happen regardless. During their time together, Tess had threatened to capture him if he was gone for more than a day.

"-expectations placed on me. I will cut it all down! Nobody can dictate my next move. With our strengths combined, we can become the strongest clan, second only to the Beast King! All I need is you. Just you by my side." She finished.

Her chin rested in her hands as she gazed at the young samurai. Tess was leaning over the table, ignoring her food. Her eyes were focused on his eating figure.

"...You are a powerful woman. Before you knew I existed, I'm sure you were doing just fine." He commented.

"Why settle for fine, when I can be doing fantastic?" She quipped.

"Touché…"

Time passed as the two ate their meals. Servants would enter the room and take the empty plates. All of their needs were met in timely manners. Cakes, parfaits, crepes, and other sweets were now on the table. Tess' golden eyes shined as she watched her betrothed munch on dessert. He was like a bunny.

"Tess."

"Yes, husband?"

"Come." He spoke while gesturing with his finger.

The lioness stood up and walked over to him. A confused expression adorned her face. This was the first time he had spoken to her with authority.

"What's wrong?"

While still sitting down, Shu pulled her by the waist. He buried his face into her stomach. His arms wrapped around her hips. Tess smiled before running her hands through his hair.

"...Thank you for giving me a place to stay while in the capital. It means more to me than you know." He spoke while looking up at her.

Being able to stay in the guarded manor helped with his work. If he was in a normal inn, his trail would've been discovered. All of the questioning and searching in Croydon had roused the suspicion of several people. It wouldn't have been long before Gibril's men ambushed him. Nobody would attempt to find the Slum Lord unless they had a death wish.

This was all averted due to his trail leading too high. Nobody would expect a noble family to be searching around in the slums. Their manor was in Vludon, after all. Tessvulin huffed with pride.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I treat my betrothed well?"

"........"

A slight smile graced the samurai's lips. He wouldn't leave her empty handed. She deserved a reward. After hugging her tighter, one of his hands snaked over to her tail. He lightly scratched the area around her lower back. Tess' eyes rolled up for a second as the pleasurable feeling shot through her nerves.

"Shu, you…" She hummed in excitement. Was he finally ready to mate?

Shu raised her top slightly, and the lioness lifted her arms to help him take it off. Unfortunately, that wasn't his intention. He raised her shirt over her head and arms before leaving it there. Tessvulin was now stuck. Her bra and stomach was on full display for him.

Still fondling her tail, he placed his lips on her stomach. A few light kisses were placed on her smooth skin. An electric pulse suddenly washed through her body. She couldn't help but hum in delight. Due to the fact that she couldn't see, her sense of touch was the only thing she could focus on. Unknown to her, iridescent mana was circulating in Shu's mouth.

He eventually reached her navel. His mouth slowly clamped around the cute belly button. As his tongue dug into the area, the color changing mana connected with her nerve endings. It traveled all the way up to her brain. Shu took this chance to suck extremely hard. His fangs dug into her skin.

SQUELCH

"Nyaaahhhh!!!!!" Tess mewled like the feline she was.

Her body stiffened and her tail straightened. The fierce woman had reached the peak. She couldn't stop her body from trembling. As Tess drowned in the overwhelming pleasure, her brain shut down. There was no energy left to keep her standing. The young samurai caught her before she fell to the ground.

A knowing smile adorned his face as he lowered her shirt. She was unconscious. Tess would probably think that he was pleasuring her once she woke up. The true gains of this moment wouldn't be revealed until her next battle. Shu understood that this overbearing woman had the chance of becoming obsessed after this, but it mattered not. He would be gone.

Tess woke up the next morning in a great mood. Her betrothed was so skilled that he put her to sleep! If he could make her like that just from her stomach, she couldn't wait to see how his lips would feel down below. Not wasting any time, she washed up and prepared for school.

"Hmmm…I expect today to be a great day." She muttered while approaching Shu's room. The lioness knocked on the door.

KNOCK KNOCK

There was no response. Assuming he was asleep, she opened the door. Tessvulin opened the curtains which allowed the sunlight to beam through. A frown immediately adorned her face upon seeing the empty bed. No sounds could be heard from the bathroom.

"Shu, let's go!" She called out.

After walking around the room, she found a note on the dresser. She ignored it at first. It wasn't her business. Time passed and she couldn't find him. It was at this point that she finally turned to the note. The lioness quickly grabbed it. Her curiosity had been too much.

'Don't try to look for me. You won't be able to find me. I'm sure we'll meet again someday. Maybe under different circumstances. We can be friends of equal standing at that time.' It read.

RUMBLE

A powerful aura immediately burst from her body. Everyone in the manor could feel it. The building was shaking. The most distorted glare could be seen on her face.

"I won't be able to find you…you say. Is that a CHALLENGE?!" She roared.

Not even fifteen minutes later, a few hundred clansmen dashed out of the estate. They went in each direction. The whole capital of Vludon would be searched through. After that, it would be Croydon. Then the cities nearby. Then the ones further away. Eventually, the whole kingdom would be covered.

The man in question could be seen sprinting through the plains. Shu had left that same night, so he had quite the head start. He was already several cities away. The young samurai was on a straight course toward the border.

Thus marks the end of the Veldhoven Arc! Shu is making a lot of friends right now. Will we ever see them again? Who knows...
