PLAN RAID
When the department head told me to seat next to Jevro, I felt excited for some reason. About my power rate, I speak with the people who assisted me. Honestly, my power surpasses even those people from other countries. If we compare the ranking to the rankings of protagonists in every fantasy novel, Jevro's and other Black Malemyns are S rank. But me, I'm currently an SS rank. And if we go back to the rankings of the original Malemyns, I'm currently the new found Purple Stage Malemyn.
It's the highest level of all but I chose to hide it because of these Americans. We will be going to raid the nest of the two headed snakes so I have to remain low like Jevro. Come to think of it, my Gwandy level is on Crystal and not just white. It also means that my Gwandy rank is also an SS level. Perhaps, it is the results of being closer to the stone when it landed?
"Excuse me sir, may I know your first name?" An girl who suddenly leaned closer to me asked.
I automatically turned to look at the owner of that voice and see the woman who is now resting her two elbows on Jevro's lap. I moved my eyes to Jevro and see his unchanged expression. Still look fierce and cold as always. Once again, I look at the girl and answer her question.
"Yohan.." I said with low and cold voice too.
She smile at me before she offered her hand for a shake. I look at it before I accepted it. The girl giggle and even pressed my hand. What a bold move. Since I'm wearing gloves I can't feel her body temperature but, I can see her white aura mixed with red. Aura is not based on your power level. I have no idea why I can even seen them.
"Cute name.. Are you going to join the raid too? Don't worry, I can be your Gwandy if you let me test our matching rate. By the way, my name is Allyssa, and the man next to me is Allen. You already know this man's name, right?" Allyssa pointed Jevro while asking.
I just nodded my head while looking at the girl's back. There I saw the man who went to my pizza house and said he's from the investigation team. Now I finally remember. Jevro has two closer friends according to the news. That is the reason why Rowan can't touch him directly. Well for me, I know Rowan can't touch Jevro even he's alone.
"Yeah.. Nice meeting you both." I replied as I withdrew my eyes from them.
"Ahw.. You two really are alike. I wonder what's gonna happen if you two left alone inside the cave? Would you guys talk or just avoid each other?" Allyssa continue to talk even I'm not looking at her anymore.
Well, if Jevro and I left alone inside the cave, I already pictured out what's gonna happen. I'm certain, he'll choose to knocked me out because of irritation. I secretly smile when I think of it.
"That's enough, go back to your seat! You're so heavy!" Jevro finally spoke.
You know guys, I still can't understand why do I feel so excited everytime I'm near him. Are we perhaps a blood related? Or maybe I'm his disciple in my past life? Or maybe one of us was a woman and we are husband and wife? With that thoughts, I uncontrollably let out a chuckle. What a funny thoughts I have in me.
"Alright, let's begin the briefing." Mr. De Guzman finally started this meeting. "As you all know, these seven individuals from America are here to see your capabilities in killing monster. And as all you all know, the raid schedule has been adjusted to next week." Everyone gasps upon hearing that.
But me and Jevro as well as the two next to him, remains quiet. If the raid will be in next week, then we only have few days to prepare.
"That's unfair to Yohan. He just received his evaluation but he'll be joining the raid. He has only few days to prepare his combat abilities. What if something happened during the raid since he still not know how to fight monsters?!" I heard Allyssa murmuring.
Of course they will think that way. I can't blame them however, they also have no idea that I already killed lots of monsters since I've been awakened.
"It's fine, I can teach him myself."
I literally look on my left side when I heard that. Jevro said that he's going to teach me? Seriously? But.. Didn't I saved his life two times in a row? Never mind, yes. I forgot that I'm a new evaluated Malemyn without records of fighting the monsters. What a funny backlash.
"Me too! Don't worry Yohan, we'll train you until the schedule of the raid arrived." Allen suddenly speak too.
I just nodded my head as a sign of approval and accepting the offer from these three legendary group of friends. Ehem... I just hope I don't forget that I have no experience.
"From today after this meeting, those who are going to join the raid will be practicing and showing their abilities in front of the presence of our visitors. By then, only 15 with highest score will be joining. Don't think about playing and acting weak because, the salary from this raid if it will be successful is extremely huge." Mr. De Guzman is actually smirking while saying that.
The murmuring begins again. It's obvious even Mr. De Guzman didn't mention it. They will going to raid the nest of monsters with more that 400 in it. Of course it'll be pricey. But there's something I'm confused about so I raised my hand to ask.
"Yes, Yohan? What is your concern?" The head is smiling at me like he's excited.
I raised up and feel the people gaze so quickly. "The American government asked us to join this Raid. So my question is, what will happen to those Malemyns who will accidentally injured or even worse than that? Don't tell us that we will just going to join the raid without proper conditions or whatsoever?" Everyone gasps when they heard that.
As expected, they didn't think about it. Is it because they are underestimating their foes? Or is it because they are thinking that they are safe because a lot of people will be joining?
"I know that you mentioned the word nest. But, is the thought of other monsters that will certainly approach the place didn't come to your mind? Monsters are like people too, they can also help each other to secure their race. That's my only question." I also added before taking back to my seat.
Now I finally seen the worries on their faces. As I expected, they didn't think of that because they are only focusing on the nest. How careless.
"Wow Yohan! I didn't.. No I mean, we didn't think of that!" Allyssa once again speak.
"Yeah, me too. Now everyone look so worried even our department head." Allen says too.
I'm actually waiting for Jevro to speak but he remained silent. Is he thinking something? What is it?
"Let's hear the words from America's representative, shall we?" Mr. De Guzman said while smiling to the man who has glasses.
His aura is quite thick as if he's controlling his emotions.
"Thank you, Sir. And thanks to the man out there who just asked. By the way, my name is Alistair. Honestly, I was going to mention that after your department head spoke. But I'm more amazed since someone asked it first. Well.. To all everyone information, our country will be helping everyone who will accidentally injured during the raid, of course. But we hope that it will never happen until the raid finished. About your Redo, one country which is Korea, they will not going to send their Malemyns but Gwandys." Alistair said.
He looks so calm, amazing. As expected to the American representative's head.
"And.. We are also responsible for your trainings from today onwards. I hope everyone is okay with that?" Alistair also added.
I feel the rising of the temperature on my left side. When I look at it, I almost bumped into Jevro's face. He leaned closer to me to say something, I guess? Our eyes met for a second before he open his mouth to whisper.
"If you want to develop your power within 5 days, you can come with me to my own training gym. I can teach you some skills." He said.
I just remains quiet as I staring at him. If I tell him that I don't need it, what will his reaction be? And what if I tell him that I already killed the monster that he couldn't kill, will he still look at me like this and tell me to help me practicing? I can't tell that of course. I need to be closer to him to at least solve the puzzle on my head.
"If I do that.. Does it mean, I have to live with you for five days?"
Ah.. Fuck! Why did it come out of my mouth?! That's not what I'm going to asked! How fucking embarrassing!
Jevro just sneered before answering me. "That's not a bad idea. However, are you sure you want to live with me for five days?" He asked while looking directly to my eyes.
