11 Chapter 11: Following into the Room

Yusuf Zuck strutted through the precinct's main gate, where not only a guard stood but several surveillance cameras were installed. Nevertheless, as he approached, both the guard and the cameras became blind to his presence.

Yusuf felt pleased with himself, yet he didn't dare linger for too long. His Invisibility Skill could only last for three minutes, so he had to enter the precinct building and deal with Ember Vance within that time frame!

He wouldn't hit her or curse at her, but he intended to take her gun!

Indeed, ever since being taken back to the precinct, Yusuf had been pondering how to get back at Ember Vance. Making her service weapon go missing was the greatest blow he could deal her.

For an officer to lose their gun was a grave matter, leading to immediate suspension. Even if the gun was recovered, the officer would face disciplinary action and be transferred to another department that did not require a firearm. And if the service weapon was never found or an incident occurred because of it, the consequences would not be as simple as disciplinary action. At the least, it meant losing one's job, and at worst, facing criminal charges.

Despite Ember Vance's beauty, certain she was one of the police flowers, she was too imperious and abused her power excessively.

She was supposed to be an enforcer of the law, yet she was the first to break it. Yusuf wasn't an actual suspect yet, but just because of a verbal dispute, this female officer had dared to press her gun against his forehead, smash his head with the butt, demonstrating just how brazen she could be. Therefore, Yusuf felt compelled to set her straight.

"Hm?" Just as Yusuf was sprinting towards the building, Ember Vance unexpectedly walked out with her bag.

"She's out? Off work?" Yusuf instantly stopped in his tracks, as it would be troublesome to make a move once Ember Vance left the precinct building.

"Beep-beep"—as Yusuf quickly contemplated his next move, the alarm for an Audi A4 in the parking lot sounded twice.

"That's her car?" Yusuf's eyes lit up as he dashed towards the Audi A4. He intended to get into her car first and then seize the opportunity to act.

Soon after, Yusuf reached the A4's passenger side behind the driver and crouched down to wait for the right moment.

Ember Vance was in high spirits, humming a tune as she reached the driver's door and prepared to enter the car.

However, just then, someone ran out from the precinct building—it was Miles Cooke.

"Ember, wait, give me a lift!" Miles called out, rushing towards Ember Vance's car.

"Miles, you really should buy a car too, right? With no more private use of company cars, commuting is such an inconvenience," Ember said as she opened the rear door of the driver's compartment. She was carrying her bag, so if it weren't for Miles, she would have placed her bag on the front passenger seat. But with his arrival, she could only put it in the back seat!

"Now's my chance!" Yusuf was bolder than ever. While the driver's door was open, he made his move in just a few quick steps. As Ember opened the rear door, he slipped into the car through the front and squeezed into the back seat.

The movement was swift and seamless, and Ember Vance didn't feel a thing.

"Do you think I switch cars like you? An A4 today, a BMW tomorrow? Besides, my wife is against buying one. With the traffic jams on the road, it's more convenient to take the subway," Miles replied.

While they talked, Miles settled into the passenger seat, and Ember started the car and drove out of the precinct lot.

Yusuf lay flat on the foot mat of the back seat, knowing his three minutes of invisibility were limited. He wasn't sure if he could remain invisible after that, so he kept his body as low as possible.

Indeed, around the three-minute mark, he saw his hands and feet slowly becoming visible. He simultaneously thrust his consciousness at the Blood Beads in his mind to try and sustain the invisibility.

It was painful, like needles pricking his skin, and as he had predicted, there was a time lag after becoming visible, likely preventing him from using his Invisibility Skill again for several minutes.

He lay still, continuing to test his Skills while Ember and Miles chattered away in the front.

"Who does that security guard think he is? I'd like to detain him for a few days." They even switched to talking about Yusuf.

"Ember, not to scold you, but you were a bit reckless today, and sometimes too impulsive. We're in this job to keep the peace, to serve the people. Although that guard is a slick old dog trying to provoke you, you can't just put a gun to his head. That's really taboo. Also, these next few days, be careful. Some outsiders cave after a few threats, but some harbor extreme resentment and strike back. It's always best to err on the side of caution," Miles advised.

"Him?" Ember Vance scoffed. "I actually hope he tries to retaliate. That way, I'll have an excuse to arrest him."

"Stop ahead, I'll take the subway from here. It drops me right at my doorstep," Miles pointed to an entrance of Subway Line 3 up ahead.

"Sure, see you, Miles," Ember replied without fuss, continuing on her way after he got out.

"That's it..." About twenty minutes later, when Yusuf hit the Blood Beads in his mind with his Telekinesis again, he went invisible once more.

"I'll have to retest everything tomorrow." Today was the first time Yusuf had used the Invisibility Skill, so he knew only that it lasted three minutes each time. But whether he could go invisible consecutively or how many times in a day he could do so remained unknown to him. This morning in the dormitory, he had been too excited to consider everything thoroughly.

"What if my invisibility wears off and she sees me when she comes back to grab her bag from the back seat? What do I do then?" Yusuf suddenly realized he wasn't safe and might be discovered. It wasn't like he could just kill Ember Vance when that happened, could he?

"Fuck, cover the face and knock her out!" Yusuf Zuck was an extremely impulsive person, never afraid of anything. Young and full of vigor, his temperament carried the obstinacy and stubbornness typical of Shandong folks. So, if he were to be discovered, he'd just cover his face and knock Ember Vance out. That would do.

About twenty minutes later, Yusuf felt the car enter a complex. After driving for less than a minute, the car stopped, and Ember Vance turned around in the driver's seat, bringing her bag to the front.

Yusuf was not "Invisible" at that moment, so he was scared shitless, his little heart nearly jumping out. And yet, this beauty Ember didn't show the slightest vigilance, completely unaware of his presence.

Ember took out a garage door remote, pressed it, and kept driving forward.

"Whew—click, clack, clack—" The car entered a garage, and Yusuf could clearly hear the garage door closing behind them.

Ember got out of the car in the garage, which then plunged into darkness.

"Is this her home garage?" Yusuf cautiously sat up. Although the garage was dark, his telekinetic senses made him see everything inside with crystal clarity.

The garage was spacious, housing a BMW supercar up front with another door on the left side, through which Ember had exited.

"Villa!" It clicked for Yusuf in an instant; this was a wealthy person's villa, with the car driving straight into the garage, from which one could then head upstairs.

"Hehe, stealing your gun right inside your house, you'd never dream it'd be me, huh?" Yusuf chuckled sinisterly and confidently stepped out of the car. He extended his telekinesis a full fifteen meters, even piercing through the walls to see the villa's large hall behind the door!

The villa's interior was elegantly classic, filled with a scholarly ambience, not ostentatious, and currently there was no one in the hall.

Yusuf gently turned the doorknob, then stepped into the hall. As his telekinesis ventured upward, Ember's figure appeared in his mind.

"Whew—" The moment he saw Ember, Yusuf's body stiffened because... because... Ember was undressing.

"Uh... carry on, just carry on." Yusuf gulped like a lustful wolf, affected by Ember's generous proportions, her exceedingly white and tender skin, and her long legs that seemed even more explosive than any car show model he had seen.

With a "snap—", and under his telekinetic gaze, completely oblivious, Ember removed the last bit of her upper garments.

"Err..." Yusuf suddenly felt his nose itch, and when he wiped it, a handful of nosebleed smeared on his hand.

However, that was not the end because... because... Ember was about to remove her lower garments.

Yusuf completely lost control, feeling an urge to rush upstairs and execute swift justice on this petite policewoman right there and then.

After stripping, the little policewoman confidently strode into the second-floor bathroom and began showering with the sound of water gushing all around.

"If only I could join her in a splashing fun, life would be blissful. Too bad, too bad she's not my cup of tea." Yusuf, though a libertine and no saint, was certainly not a lowlife. Peeking at a beauty undressing and bathing was normal, every man has such filthy thoughts, but he never committed universally despised acts.

Like raping a woman—this is something scorned, and the sort of person Yusuf despised the most.

After wiping his nosebleed again, he hurried upstairs. He had serious business to attend to, and that was the priority.

In the entire villa, there was only Ember, who was in the shower, so Yusuf felt as if he was in his own home when he entered Ember's bedroom. He took a couple of tissues from the box on the bedside table and used them to gingerly pick up Ember's service pistol.

Yusuf had handled guns before, having dabbled in shooting sports at his school, but he wasn't particularly interested in them and knew they were essentially like bombs.

He tucked the gun into one of the thigh-high silk stockings on the bed and picked up the other stocking, retreating as he wiped his footprints behind him, erasing them so thoroughly that not even his telekinesis could detect them.

After wiping all the way out the villa's entrance, Yusuf stepped out into the courtyard to a stone platform surrounded by three wicker chairs, a square table, and bordered by more than a dozen large planters, with a lawn and flower beds beyond.

Yusuf pulled out the flowers and dirt from one planter, then tossed both pairs of stockings and the pistol into the planter, and after carefully replacing the flower and soil.

"Hehe, let's see how you find this," Yusuf smirked with satisfaction, a little payback for Ember.

"I'm off, better be careful, this is a high-end villa area, with surveillance everywhere." Yusuf didn't linger; estimating that Ember would finish her shower soon, he took the chance before she noticed anything amiss to leap over the yard wall and rapidly vanished into the vast night.

PS: Yusuf is really bad, seeking recommendation tickets and additions to bookshelves, my friends. Thank you.
