Chapter 71. To the Fiery world

A week passed by,

During this time, Tirus stayed in his residence, preparing for the fiery world.

Currently, Tirus donning his magic equipments while mumbling to himself.

'I'll just deal with whatever happens.' He thought, he was not simply a young kid with an A.I. chip, he was now an old monster who had hundreds of years worth of experience, and not only that, but he was also a morning star magus, so how could he be afraid of anything?

"Hm, I really can't wait to cultivate the techniques of the fiery world." He said as he started twirling his hair.

The techniques found in the fiery world would most probably be quite different from the ones found in the magus world, if he could find a technique which combined physique and soul in a unique way, then his cultivation might even become more effective. But even if he didn't get such a technique, it'd still be great if he could gain the knowledge of cultivation techniques of another worlds.

Today was the day when he was going to the fiery world, just as he was formulating his prospects, he heard a knock on the door.

"Who?"

"Lord Soul Collector, you have been summoned by the leader to the interplanar experimental area." The voice of a male magi came from behind the door, which was made from something that resembled iron.

"Hm…" Tirus didn't say anything much as his body transformed into a streak of black light and shot out of the room, immediately arriving at his destination.

"Soul Collector, are you ready?" Zegna asked in a casual tone, which walking towards him.

"Yes, I am." Tirus said as his luxurious black robe fluttered in the air.

"Then, come this way." Zegna said as he personally led Tirus to a place which had a giant ring like structure suspended in the air, beneath it was an astral stone, which was guarded by hundreds of sequences of defensive formations.

"Greeting, Soul collector." 4 other morning star magi greeted Tirus in unison, he courteously returned the greetings.

As soon as they entered its vicinity of the teleportation ring, they felt a force field activating and their bodies being disinfected.

'This looks somewhat…crude. But hey, it's almost 2,000 years before the canon even started, so it only makes sense if the central continent hasn't developed much yet.' Tirus thought. The truth was that it was already quite astonishing that the methods of interplanar travel were still there in the central continent. After all, it was still a long time before the canon had even started.

The ancient magus war had destroyed countless resources and inheritances, although there were still some inheritances left, like the one Tirus got, there were also quite several secret planes from the ancient times which were now nothing but ruins.

"Shall we start?" Zegna asked after disappearing from near them and re-appearing far away, however, They could still hear Zegna as clearly as if he was right beside each other.

"Yes, start the formation now!" Tirus said as the ring on his pinky finger started glowing and hundreds of complex bright red runes appeared all over his body. This was actually a layer of defense provided by the special equipment provided by the organization to him.

This layer of runes could protect him from the direct exposure to the fire element particles that are everywhere in the lava world. This defensive treasure was only one of the many equipments he got from them.

Tirus, however, really didn't need this. His body was extremely resilient, especially after he reconstructed it. Now, even if he were to fight a peak rank 3 magus with just his fleshly body alone, it would still not be much of a problem for him.

But Tirus was a cautious man, so why would he say no to an extra layer of defense?

"Start the formation." Zegna ordered, and a white light covered Tirus's entire body.

'Uhh, is this what interplanar travel feels like?' Tirus thought as he felt his mind buzzing slightly.

The next thing he remembered was nothing but a white tunnel.

In a world of lava, large crevices could be seen in the earth, magma surging inside like a network of red rivers.

Space distorted on the surface of a large black rock, forming a translucent gate of light. It incessantly generated lightning in the surroundings.

The lightning crashed down more and more frequently as the entire area was filled with a dazzling white light.

*Boom*

The white light exploded, forming an eye-piercing radiance. When all the light vanished, the original gate of light and the lightning had all disappeared, leaving behind only charred traces that recounted the strange events that had just occurred.

"Hah… I've finally entered!" Tirus furrowed his brows, sensing the large amount of fire elemental particles surrounding him. "This concentration…most magi would believe it if someone said this was the fire elemental world!"

"Ah, my head hurts." A red haired rank 4 magus complained, but a gleeful expression appeared on his face.

Although this world was named 'Fiery world' due to the high amount of fire energy particles present in the air, it still couldn't compare to the legendary fire elemental world. Rumors had it that if a magus were to simply live in the fire elemental world, then their bodies would start to mutate automatically and their fire elemental affinity would be increased. However, the co-ordinates of the fire elemental world were lost during the ancient magus war.

But this didn't mean that the concentration here was anything insignificant.

"Lord, are all of you from the magus world?" A 6-meter tall, two horned beast with a lizard head asked Tirus, flickering his tongue. Behind him were 6 lizardmen who seemed to be around the level of rank 2 magi.

"Yes, and you?" Tirus asked the lizard man his identity as he scanned his body.

[Name: Unknown, Race: Lizardman, Strength: 12.3, Agility: 5.6, Vitality: 18.9, Spiritual force has reached the point similar to that of crystal stage rank 3. Status: Healthy]

[Beep! The target cultivation path deviates slightly from the path of the host]

[Beep! The difference is almost negligible]

'Hm, he must have been sent here by the leader of the Shadow union.' Tirus thought as the latter knelt before him.

"Lord, we welcome you." They cried out in unison as they all suppressed their aura as a show of surrender.
