3 Chapter 3. To the city market

In the castle of duke Mason,

It had been six years since Tirus reincarnated into this world.

Right now, in his room, he was staring blankly in front of him.

"A.I. chip, show me my current stats!"

[Beep! Task established, calculating data…]

The A.I. chip gave a prompt as he saw a 3D model of his entire body in front of him.

[Name: Tirus Van Elrod, Occupation: none, Strength: 0.6, Agility: 0.8, Vitality: 1.0, status: Healthy, growing]

One by one, the A.I. chip gave him the information about his current stats.

"My agility and vitality are the highest while the strength isn't much, oh well, I haven't done any training yet, so I believe I'm pretty healthy for a 6-year-old."

'Today I turned 6 huh, time surely flies when one is truly enjoying themselves.' He thought as he made his way to the room where his mother was.

"Mother" He said a little loudly while standing at the door, looking at his mother who was reading a book while drinking tea.

"Oh, my Tirus, come." She gestured as Tirus rushed to her.

"How are your studies going?"

"Great!" Tirus said, acting a little excited.

"Oh, is that so…what do you want as a reward?" She asked him.

This was their normal routine. Thanks to A.I. chip, learning anything was as easy as blinking his eyelids. Unlike his younger brother, Evan, he was like a peerless genius.

"I want to go outside!" He said after pretending to think hard for a while.

Other than studying and collecting information about his family and his social status, he didn't go out much.

"Okay." She said as she rang the bell near her.

"Yes, Lady Elena, what is your command?" a female grand knight asked.

This female knight was Lyle, an old bodyguard of lady Elena. She had a tall figure, at least 179 cm, but she had no charm of a regular woman. Her skin was rough, butts were as hard as rocks and she had a scar on her face, essentially, ruining her appearance.

"Take young master to the city market, remember, nothing must happen to him." Elena ordered the female knight.

...

After an hour,

There was a luxurious carriage on the road with the symbol of a raven's claw on it. It was the carriage of the Elrod estate, in it sat Tirus Van Elrod, the first son of the Duke, Mason Van Elrod.

"Where are we going?" The driver of the carriage asked Lyle, a little curious.

"To the city market." The driver heard Tirus's statement and set out.

The speed of the carriage was quite slow, so Tirus ordered the driver to increase the carriage speed.

Soon, they reached the city market.

Tirus saw a lot of things, most of them were quite amusing, but he controlled himself even though he really wanted to buy a horse carving. Its design was so intricate that anyone who saw it would not be able to hold themselves back from praising the craftsmanship. The only reason he didn't buy it was because his focus was somewhere else. That was, scanning the commoners' physiques.

Soon, Tirus got bored and wanted to return home, but he thought, 'Maybe I should try and go to the beast market.'

They soon reached the beast market.

From the carriage emerged Tirus, with air of a noble around him. He had brown wavy hair, tall nose bridge, and sharp eyes like his father.

On his way here, he scanned many commoner children's and adults' stats, they all had stats usually below 0.6 which means Tirus is truly quite healthy when compared to an average 6-year-old and would definetly be stronger than an ordinary humans even if he didn't do any knight cultivation.

Tirus made his way into the beast market, beside him was Lyle, not letting her guard down even a little, and it wasn't just Lyle, there were several more knights as well since nobles had to keep up their appearance and Tirus didn't mind the extra security.

As he was thinking about the kind of pet he should get, a trader came to him.

"Looks like this young lord is here to buy some pets for himself, am I right? Young lord, I have all kinds of pets, just tell me, and I'll show you, hehe." He said while rubbing his palms together maintaining his distance of 4 steps.

The merchants couldn't just walk up to a noble like that as it could even be considered an offense.

"Okay, then show me some!" Tirus said with eyes filled with childish anticipation.

They all went inside a cabin. In there, there were ten different beasts on display.

From young to mature, from short to tall, from adorable to ferocious, all kinds of beasts were in front of them.

But they have one thing in common, none of them could fly.

"Which one does young master want?" The trader asked when he saw Tirus looking at every beast with a contemplative expression.

'Hm, none of their stats exceed 2, but I still have fine genes.'

'Should I ask for the ones who specialise in combat? Would that really be necessary? I just wanted a pet.'

Now he felt that he had checked the physical stats of enough people, and so he showed a difficult expression, as if he was disappointed, to this change, Lyle asked, "Young master, is there something wrong?"

"I do not want these, I want to buy a bird, get me an eagle." He said while puffing his chest outwards.

"Ah, I see, lord, this lowly one doesn't sell birds." He said while bowing down.

"But I know someone who does sell them."

"Okay, get me there." Tirus ordered as he sighed.

After a few hours, Tirus returned to the castle with an eagle on his shoulder. Special methods were used on this eagle to make it loyal to its owner. It cost him 10 gold coins. One gold coin was enough for a commoner's family to live in luxury for an entire year, yet he spent 10 gold coins for just a bird.

"This was really exhausting, oh god!" He exclaimed. When he went to the market, he hadn't planned to buy a slave or a pet, but he just felt the need to buy something since he rarely came out of his castle.

"Father said I can't start my knight training before the age of 8 huh."

"But well, I can go to our family's library to analyze the low-grade meditation techniques, they might come in handy when the A.I. chip optimizes my family's signature breathing method."

The Elrod family was nearly 200 years old, they didn't have such great influence in the empire for no reason.

They had 10s of low grade and a few mid-grade knight cultivation methods. But they were all nothing when compared to the family's signature technique, it was upper-mid grade technique which had been improved by several generations of family heads.

And thus, Tirus made his way to the library.
