11 Chapter 11: Ancient Glory

"It spoke? Did the robot just spoke?" Chito was very surprised by this robot. Chito never thought that the robot would greet her. Yuuri , who was beside her, raised her gun in surprise and pointed it at the robot.

"I am the robot responsible for keeping things in check here... Well used to anyway." the robot responded. "Don't worry, I won't harm you, not like I have any self-defence mechanism anyway. You can take anything from this place"

"Really? Is it okay if we took some things here?" Yuuri said cluelessly, after putting down the gun.

"No problem. Although there were orders to guard this place in the past, all the security robots have stopped moving due to lack of power. When I was powered by Senju, I have not received any orders, so you can move around as you like." The robot calmly described its situation paying no attention to Yuuri's ramblings.

"Really? Then can you show us around?" Yuuri had a sudden idea and actually let this robot lead the way. "Wait, aren't you the friend Senju talks about?"

"Friend?" the robot's voice sounded surprised. It doesn't know if it was in its program setting or its self intelligence. "I'm feeling joyful. Let me show you around here."

The three followed the robot around. Although there had been no one here for a long time, it could still be seen that many types of weapons had been studied here. The robot guided the three people to the things that were studied in each laboratory.

In the ordinary firearms research room, Yuuri took a fancy to some bullets, but these were just standard bullets, not special ones.

The three of them were clueless on what to do with them, no one knew(except the robot) what they were used for, and a few moments have passed, nobody cared about those strange guns... there fate is to only slowly decay there.

In the huge robot research room, only a few people knew that ancient people had developed such powerful weapons. The robot also called up a video for everyone to watch. Those huge robots seemed to be ancient beasts running wild in the city. destroy.

There is also a sword laboratory here.(T/L: Seriously? Even swords? Wasn't explosives or even GIANT robots not enough?)

Maybe because humans don't want to give up any chance of victory. Even specialized swords have been used. However, Yuuri chose a few to prepare for cutting things in the future.

Senju also I took a handful to use for handling food later.

Finally, they stopped at the place marked with nuclear weapons, "I don't recommend you to visit this place. The radiation inside are very harmful to the human body."

"What does it matter? Could it be that this is the 'ultimate weapon' mentioned before?" Yuuri gestured with joy.

"It can be said that this is one of mankind's most powerful weapons. It is tightly sealed inside. Even so, this weapon still emits radiation that is harmful to the human body." The robot paused for a while and continued, "Even so, do you want to go inside?"

Ignoring the obstruction of Chito next to her, Yuuri said nonchalantly, "Does it matter? It has probably been useless for so long."

"This is indeed a possibility, but the storage here is very strict and this kind of problem will not occur." The robot calmly explained this possibility, but immediately denied it.

Senju saw the group of going in, and he followed them bravely. When he came inside, he saw that the surroundings were unusually simple. Some huge computers were placed on the walls, and they were not full of stuff as other laboratories. Samples and drawings, and the robot is there to connect to those computers.

"It's so surprising that the energy here has stopped. It seems that Miss Yuuri is right. All the weapons here have failed." Although he was very surprised when he said it, his voice was very steady.

After hearing what she said, Yuuri was very proud, "Look, I was right, the weapons here are completely useless." Chito and Senju looked at her speechlessly.

Then the robot took everyone to visit the canteen, but it was also empty. After searching the place for a few minutes or so, Yuuri started to lose her temper because there was no food at all.

In the researcher's residence, Chito was happy to find some books, Senju collected some clothes and bedding, and Yuuri found a few pieces of explosives and a box of compressed rations from somewhere.

The group came to the storage warehouse. It should have been filled with all kinds of things, but now there were only a small number of items, which were also covered with dust. If the robot hadn't pointed it out, none of them would have discovered these things. It's something that can be used.

After cleaning these things, the robot began to explain.

The types of items were introduced were; sealed tank engines, laser generators prepared for the giant robots, various alloy blocks, emergency repair tools, and several boxes of special high-energy compressed food.

After seeing this, Chito and Yuuri were very confused. They couldn't carry so many things in their car. Seeing them picking and choosing, Senju asked, "Can't we just take all these things? It may be useful in the future."

"It will definitely be used in the future, but our car can't hold so many things. We also need to hold some fuel and water. The remaining space can only hold a few boxes of food." Chito said a little discouraged.

"Is there insufficient space?" The robot nodded with understanding. "This is indeed a major issue. You must choose the optimal solution."

After listening to these two words, Senju said carefully, "Ahem, um, I can take all of these away."

"Really? Then I want this and this..." After hearing this, Chito pointed at several maintenance tools with some joy, but then became a confused, "But how will you carry all of it?"

"Well, like this," Senju gestured and 'picked' up a box of food, the items disappeared when he touched them. Chito and Yuuri looked at him in surprise, trying to find where the things were hidden. The head of the robot also flashed intensively. It seems that he is very confused by this phenomenon.

"Where did the food go?" Yuuri grabbed Senju and shook him vigorously, "Take it out quickly, I will want to eat it later!"

"Stop shaking me! I'll take it out right now." Senju, who was dizzy, quickly took out the food from his inventory. Seeing the box full food on the ground, Yuuri patted Senju's shoulder seriously, " Great, now you can pack up all this food and only take it out when I want it."

"Don't listen to her. With your weird ability,we can take away more things this way." Chito said, she thought a little more.

(T/L: I just realized, what happens when a book gets to 15k words? I seem to remember that alot of Authors would write a bunch of words unlit it reaches the amount of 15k in one chapter(usually the 1st one), so I'm a bit curious. Since every chapter on this fic ,the word count would be 1200+{not counting my notes} so yeah, can anybody explain this to me?)
