"Uh.. Hi~" I facepalmed mentally for how stupid I sounded.

Lia giggled again looking directly at me.

"You need calm down Mr.. "

"Oh... Uh... Kevin. My name is Kevin Moore. "

"Okayy.. Kevin Moore. So as this cheese head was saying.. "

"Hey~" Ray whined.

But Lia continued.

"In our world, the life of every animal is directly linked with the natural flow of energy all around. Umm.. Like a magnetic field..?.. Yes! Like that. Every creature born and dead participate in this cycle. "

Seeing my confused expression Ray exemplified, " Like if a bird is hatched from an egg, it's energy joins the nature. For the whole life time it becomes a part of it, contributing in its constant flow. But when that bird dies a very small disruption occurs. It can soon be replaced by birth of new animal or creature. "

"And the sacred animals are the highest contributors of this natural energy. They are like tanks of spiritual energy and can live up to thousands of years. "

"If they are killed the impact is felt around the world. Like sudden dying of flora, extreme weather conditions and changes out of nowhere. If it's natural then the changes are subtle. If not then.... There are consequences. They are rarely seen though. One considers themselves lucky to actually see one in person."

"That's why hunting, killing, meat-eating and other cruelty on animals are absolutely banned. We worship nature, sacred creatures and wise elders. They are our God and we don't go against them. " Lia finished.

"Umm.. Ok" It was still a bit confusing and out of the world... Literally but I was getting the hang of it.

"So what's the deal with sacred animal killing if they are so rare to find? "

"We don't know" This time her lips turned into a frown and her eyes went downcast, " Somehow, .....somehow Edna got their location. Two of the Lerics and one Mychen dead.  And we don't know how. "

"FYI those were the names of two sacreds." Ray clarified.

There was silence for some time when I opened my mouth again.

"Where are we going? "

"To hide you of course! " Ray smirked.

"Hide me? "

"Yeah... It will take some time for your foreign body to adjust to new environment. Your body aura is easily distinguishable. Till then we need to hide you so that you can't be traced. "

"If that's so why aren't you caught yet? " I questioned.

This time it was Lia who spoke, " It's because we hide our individual aura. "

" People who are warriors and high level spiritual energy users and manipulators have this energy. We are trained to manipulate the natural energy around us and use it for combat. But we rarely use it. "

I paused, soaking all the info in then asked again.

"How will we get there? " I felt like a curious child who was new to the working of the world. Which I kinda was..

"You ask so many questions! Relax when the time comes I'll tell you. " Ray complained.

"How come Matilda and Lia have cool outfits and weapons on them but you are empty handed without any weapons (except the dagger you gave me) and wearing casual shirt and pants? "

This time he chuckled and looked at me like I am an innocent little child. "It's because... I am not a warrior. "

Lia giggled again and spoke up, "the cheese head here is actually a wizard. "
