1 prologue

Afar the horizon, he could see the outline of a pyramid. Sandstorm was approaching far behind him, and he had been walking for a long time.

If he stopped for a rest now, the storm would catch up if he slept for four days. But he wasn't tired, nor did he want to rest for the storm gave him an uncanny feeling.

He advanced. When he was near the pyramid, he could see the bricks and walls carved with unknown images, old arts from people who came before him.

The entrance of the pyramid was wide, you could fit five people in it.

He entered the structure into a long hall with blue torches lit in the walls. He gazed at the walls and saw another one of those old art style outside the pyramid. The torches were bright and the art depicted ancient people, not Egyptians. Nor were the figures humans.

Some looked humanoid, but they had wings, like angel wings, and some were grotesque creatures he couldn't figure out.

He continued walking after looking, at the end of the hallway, a glowing bright orb was levitating. A stone pedestal was below it.

He approached the glowing orb and touched it. It phased through. He was shocked. Tried touching it again but it went through.

His heart almost jumped out his mouth when a voice came from the orb.

"Hassu." It said in a manly soothing voice, "Do you remember how you died?"

Hassu blinked, then answered hesitantly, "Perhaps. Why do you ask?"

"You never had any beliefs. Except for us. Do you where is this place?"

"The pyramid of reincarnation. Outside of everything."

"You'll be reincarnated into the SCP Universe. Because of your choice, I hope you remember.

He asked in curiosity.

"So all of this is real? I expected heaven… or hell."

"None of that, Hassu. You believed you'll be judged in the pyramid of creation. And you wished to be reincarnated into the SCP world when you chose us."

He indeed did believed in this dying religion told by his grandmother, and once they believed in it, they would be granted the wish to be reincarnated into a world where they desire, and even as any character they want. As long as they did good deeds in their life.

"Thank you." He said. "Has my grandmother passed through here?"

"She left a message."

A paper suddenly appeared in thin air, floating and faced Hassu. He read aloud:

"Dear Hassu. With all my heart, I hope you can find happiness and love in your next life. Take care of yourself, and don't forget about your old family."

Hassu warmly smiled. He loved her grandmother who was kind and caring. She taught him everything on how to sew and cook delicious stews.

The paper disappeared, and the orb spoke once again.

"What character would you like to be reincarnated? Or if it's your taste, still the same?"

He remembered the times he watched adventure time with his grandmother, sitting on the floor and watching the show on an old tv that flickered with green lines. He remembered the first time seeing the lich. It was terrifying and somewhat amazing.

'I can be Goku– he thought, as it was interrupted.

"Denied. You cannot be reincarnated into someone too powerful. You have done good deeds, but not enough to become Goku."

Hassu was surprised, then confused. 'of course he can read minds.' he thought.

"If I can't be Goku, can I be The Lich instead?"

"Granted. Good luck surviving in the SCP Universe."

Before Hassu could reply, he suddenly glowed in bright light, then transformed into a glowing ball.

The ball disappeared as the floating light stayed above the pedestal.
