Good and Bad

"SCP 076-2, let us pass." Mordecai said.

Abel raised an eyebrow at him and said:

"Did your parents not teach you manners?"

"076-2. Please step to the side. We are to escort SCP 7000 back to his containment cell." Mordecai replied, his voice stern.

Abel looked at him and laughed, he patted him on his shoulder made way for them.

The Lich and his guards exited as The Lich craned his head, Abel was giving him the nasty eye stare.

On the way they had been silent, Mordecai and Miracles sometimes talked to each other, but that was it. Small talks about their life and work.

"Hey, I never asked. But how come you don't smell horrible?" Mordecai asked.

"Huh? You mean my skin?" The Lich replied.

"Yeah, you're entire body. You're odorless. Did you cast magic on it or something?"

"No. I have no idea why."

Mordecai looked ahead, the hallway and door to SCP 7000's cell was just there. Soon they were going to sleep and continue working again next day.

The Lich entered his containment as Miracles swiped his keycard. It closed slowly as the mighty doors banged upon contact.

"I'll see you next shift."

"You too."

They both parted ways as The Lich was left all alone in his containment cell. He sat there. Staring at the huge doors that would open once again in a few hours.

'Is my life going to be like this? Just prisoner with a little bit of freedom... Well, it matters not. The foundation is probably going to incorporate me to Abel's group.' he thought.

'And why does he seem to hate me... hm.. is it because I'm a lich? I know witches and lich's are different. But what the hell is his problem.'

Suddenly a voice from the speaker attached to the left corner of the room boomed. He looked at it with surprise.

"Scp 7000, are you awake?" A male voice asked.

"Yes. I can't sleep." The Lich replied.

"Well sorry for that. A few SCP's don't like it when we barge into their room. So I'm going to this short, we're going to have an interview once again."

"That's fine by me, when do we start?"

"Right now."

As if by que, the huge metallic doors opened revealing a woman in white coat. Her long black hair reached her waist and a warm smile on her.

Behind her a guard carried a chair and set it up in the middle. She sat down and thanked the guard.

The guard nodded and left and swiped a key card reader on the wall, the door began closing and finally shut. Harold was accompanied by a lieutenant in the observation room.

The two of them watched beyond the glass as the psychologists voices were relayed on the speaker. A monitor with a live graph was displayed. This was to activate the SRA's if they see the graph suddenly rising.

"Wonderful night, Lich." She said in a soft tone.

"Wonderful night, too." Replied The Lich.

"Do you know why I'm here?"

"For an interview?"

"Correct. Can you care to tell me what you think about life?" She smiled.

When she smiled, Hassu was reminded of his mother. She looked like her, and it was strangely comforting.

"Why do you want my opinion?" He asked.

"This is an examination test I'm handling. And I want to know what you think." She replied.

The Lich was silent for a moment, then he answered with uncertainty.

"I guess to simply live out your days? I never cared much about the purpose in life."

"And do you think living out your days is being in this cell forever..?"

The Lich was silent. Harold checked the Hume levels, it was normal.

"Hopefully not for eternity."

The psychologist wrote something on her paper, Hassu couldn't see what she was writing.

"And what do you think of the foundation?"

"Okay I guess." He said, but in his mind he responded with 'Hell.'

"Are you interested in relationships?" She said.

"No. I think I would prefer to be alone." He replied.

"Well that's good."

"You think so?"

She nodded with a smile.

"In this line of work, relationships are very complicated. You could lose your partner within a decade." She said.

"Well, if you're interested.." The Lich's right eye turned like a flat line. It was a wink. "I don't die."

The psychologist gave a sarcastic laugh, though she found it amusing a walking corpse could do something like this.

"Not interested sorry. I prefer my man... Alive. And certainly not a Lich"

"I guess that's fair." He shrugged. "But what is your name? You know mine but I never got yours."

"Oh- I'm doctor Hayes."

"Hayes. That's a nice name." He said in a rather smooth deep voice.

"Scp 7000. I'm going to start asking some serious questions from now, are you ready?" She said.

"Sure." He replied.

She took out a small water flat bottle on her pocket and drank. Wiped her lips and put it back.

"Sorry. I was thirsty."

"It's okay, it's okay. So what's the first serious question now?"

She said in a stern and professional tone.

"Can you please elaborate on your origins other than nothingness?"

The Lich turned his head into the window, there was two people inside judging from the shadows. Then he turned to look at the psychologist, he wasn't sure if he should 'educate' them on his origins. He was planning to show them what the original Lich showed when he was in control of sweet pea for a moment.

"If the scientist approves my method. I promise no harm will befall you."

A voice came from the speakers, it was Harold's.

"Is this method about using one of your dark magic?"

"It's a simple illusion with a mix of small reality bending. It won't harm any of you. I think it's best if I show it visually."

There was silence on the other side for a while, but eventually, Harold agreed after talking with the lieutenant.

"It's not hostile, so go ahead. Why are you even asking me?" The lieutenant said.

"You're the one with more experience around these.. things."

The lieutenant just shrugged, he didn't care anyway. He was going to be relieved from guarding the SCP with Harold until he can finally be with the commander again.

"You're free to do so." Harold said through the speakers.

The Lich looked at the psychologist, she was staring to feel a little scared. And Hassu could see it.

"Thank you, but this won't hurt anyone. And now, for your education...."

The Hume levels in the monitor inside the observation room began rising, the lieutenant was shocked. Even Harold was surprised, he'd never expect the levels to rise quickly to class 3 reality bender.

And then... There was darkness. Harold and lieutenant seemed like they were floating, everything was dark. The monitor was gone and the window separating them from The Lich was gone.

The psychologist was in awe, it was quiet, so quiet she could hear her own breathing.

Then, the ground started to burn. There was fire everywhere, green fire, when they looked in every direction, there was only a sea of fire. The Lich was not here.

And Harold was starting to get really scared, The Lich was gone. Or so he thought.

"Before there was time..."

The fire beneath suddenly grew and dissipated as if a strong wind blew on them.

"There was nothing."

The entire area shifted to darkness again, Harold, the lieutenant and even the psychologist was getting curious.

"And before nothing... There were monsters."

Suddenly, they hear a loud screech, not loud enough to burst their eardrums, but terrifying and old. Harold looked down and saw a massive amounts of grotesque creatures, in all shapes and forms, some of them that had arms were trying to reach for them. They were screaming, begging, begging to grab them. And who knows on earth what these creatures would do.

"What the hell..." Said the lieutenant.

They watched small and big creatures huddling together, and when they tried to find if there was an end to these monsters in sight, it kept stretching. There was a lot of them. And maybe billions.

It was a sea of horrible monsters. And Harold got a glimpse of how terrible it must be live amongst these creatures.

The darkness was gone, and they were finally back on the observation room.

Harold and the lieutenant was still dumb struck at what they saw.

"Does that suffice my origins now?"

The psychologist looked awkwardly at the windows then she replied.

"I guess that should do."

"So what are the next questions?"

For a few minutes, The Lich was asked about specifically of his abilities, dark magic and reality bending. They wanted to get an full understanding this time of what he was capable.

And when he was asked about the creatures before nothing, he told them they were primordials, and he was one himself too.
