13 Chapter 13: First Blueprint

Back to Vikram, he was immerse in reading from afternoon to evening, now he can form generalize picture of this continent, This planet name is 'VANTREA', It is lot bigger in size compared to earth. The current Empire where vikram is living is part of Continent known as 'AZOLA'. It's a huge continent larger than combined Asia + Europe continent in his previous life.

On AZOLA, there are primarily 3 Big Empires, first- Vijayanagara Empire, Second – Kushan Empire in North , Third – Pandava Empire in south. Contemporary to above Empires there are several small size kingdoms such as Chola's, Shrivelli, Hunas ect.

Vijayanagara Empire which he is part of has huge area, nearly as large Russia from Earth. It has 4 Dukedom (Duchy), 3 Marquess Estate's, 6 Earl (Count's), some Viscount's and several Baron's.

His father barony lie under Duchy of Fiveria . This area of Empire has lot of natural resources but still in poor state because of frequent war's. also the don't have technologies to use those natural resources.

Social life of people is relatively poor, upper strata Nobles have all the riches and luxury but common people struggle to get 2 times meal. Social division is very strict. Commoners don't have any rights they are always suppress by Noble's for their benefit.

Men look after outside and earn money and women look after children and home. women don't have any right in their own family. This social structure is patriarchal in nature.

As he was reading this he feels sad for common people, this revelation is shocking to him .

he has decided, ' I will change all this social structure and strengthen common people living standard.'

As he was thinking of possibility to come up with quickest way to change and make process in society and get rich by utilizing resources around him.

Knock came at his table, " young master, it about 8 pm. Please take some rest. " old man Steven suggested.

"Ohh! It's 8 o'clock already, okay I will retire for day , Thank you for your guidance Teacher Steven."

With that said he got up and started walking towards his courtyard.

After cleaning himself once more, Vikram returned to his room , where he sat at his desk, took out a piece of parchment from table, and began to design blueprints for several of the early innovations he intended to make towards first industrial foundation.He started collecting all the information from system interface.

Though Vikram's held limited authority within his father's land, he figured at the very least he could negotiate with his father about the implementation of such technology. If his father asked where he found such blueprints, he could simply say he acquired it from a trader form the far south. After all, similar technologies should exist in far away other continents. The earliest the Barony could produce high quality steel, the better it was for his plans.

The barony of Maheshwati was set in the Duchy of Fiveria. Mountains surrounded it, and a large tributary of the Mahi river flowed through it, creating fertile valleys. It was exactly because of its geographical layout that the JAYADEVA MAHESHWATI could control over the resources-rich region. If not for the natural defensive barrier that surrounded the valley where the people dwelled, then more powerful families within the Empire would surely attempt to seize the region for themselves.

Now that he decided to first on steel production, he recall for system, think about process to obtain steel, several wiki pages with lot of information revealed. With that information he finished the blueprints for one of the most important inventions in steel production. Without it, the industrial Revolution in his previous life's timeline would have never transpired. It was known as " THE BASSEMER CONVERTER " in his previous life. Through this process, we can manufacture 2 – 5 tons of steel in only 20 minutes.

The Bessemer converter is basically work principle's of removing impurities from pig iron by oxidation. It utilize airflow through molten material to achieve harden steel final product. If one lined the interior of converter with dolomite or limestone, they could produce large amount of slag as byproduct, which is rich in phosphate content, this slag can be used to increase soil fertility which ultimately helps in development of agriculture.

All the machine component could be difficult to make with current technology of this time but given proper guidance and time it could be formed. It can be driven by waterwheel, horse or bull power. Obviously as technology advances, I will also invent steam engine, but that was in far ahead future. I had to make early model for now to get high quality steel as quickly as possible. High-quality steel is currently rare commodity in Empire; with introduction of this Bessemer converter I can achieve many things. I can sell this and earn huge wealth, also provide jobs to commoner which in return can lift there living standard, uses of high-quality steel is endless.

Ultimately Vikram would require to make pig iron first from iron ore. He can not use iron ore directly in Bessemer converter. To convert iron ore into pig iron he would have to built "BLAST FURNACE". And with help of pig iron he can get high-quality steel with help of Bessemer process. Though in this age people don't know sophisticated machine's working with efficiency, but still people do know of making low quality steel. It would be hard for him to convince his father to invest in all this blueprint, but with potential of this thing in near future he hope father can foresee his vision and agree with his plans. With this though he also built second blueprint of Blast Furnace.

After finishing his blueprint and letting them dry, Vikram got up from his sit and ready to go to bed.
