Danzo was a fool, he'd come to that realization. The reason for that reasoning was very simple. While it is sometimes advisable to have knowledge of seals to learn the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, it wasn't a requirement.

From what he could tell after intensively studying the scroll, it was more similar to the summoning technique rather than seals.

In addition to the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, Danzo had also given him a scroll on more advanced seals than the previous one. His training had also begun which took a decent amount of his day.

He would admit that Danzo's Root ANBU were brutal. He was sure that if not for [Gamer Body] he would've been sore all over with injuries littering his form. Even with how demanding it was, he wouldn't deny the results it brought.

He still couldn't help the smirk that came to his face when he saw the amount of stat points he had. 'Thank you Danzo.' He mocked internally.

The stat that had risen the most was Dex which was his lowest stat by a huge margin. Though it was still his lowest stat, the margin was almost negligible.

The training routine along with the restriction seals on his clothes were the key to this improvement.

His skills page had also filled out a bit. His mind went to the notification he received when he shot all the way to level 29.

A technique that allows one to sense chakra from exceptional distances in great detail.

These were the new skills he had gained since that time. It had been around a week since then but his progress wasn't small.

Mizunoe was brutal when it came to spars, barely holding back when he attacked Kaito. Fortunately or unfortunately, [Unarmed Combat Proficiency] leveled up quickly when facing against an opponent of vastly higher skill.

The only problem was that no matter how good the skill was, his stats also played a vital role and they were currently far below that of his trainer.

Neither Danzo nor Mizunoe were aware that he had already comprehended and learnt the [Flying Thunder God Jutsu], neither did they know about [Mind's Eye of the Kagura].

Those were his two trump cards for the day he would make his escape, a day he knew was quickly approaching.

He barely had actual practice with the [Flying Thunder God Jutsu]. He had chosen the option to comprehend it and continued to study the scroll to deepen his understanding.

He had used the jutsu a few times and it was only in the confines of his 'room' when he was sure he wasn't being monitored.

He had made slightly more progress in [Fuinjutsu], the skill now being at level 26. [Dagger Proficiency] was sitting at a measly level 9. With the brutality of Mizunoe's training, he had been forced to max out the [Substitution Jutsu] to escape a lot of hard hits.

Carefully cutting out parts of one of the blank scrolls that he was given into thin rectangles, he sighed as he got to work with his brush.

A sweaty Kaito stood in front of Danzo with Mizunoe behind him. They were in the middle of training when Danzo approached.

"Kanoe, I have chosen you for a mission." The man said, Kaito controlling the urge to raise a brow.

'I thought my mission was to get the nine tails.' He thought dryly, not showing any change of expression as the man continued.

"Though you have an important task ahead of you, it would be best if you gain some experience before doing so." Danzo paused, turning to the root ANBU. "Your mission is to eliminate Isamu Kenzo, a Kusagakure jonin who has a grudge against Konoha. Mizunoe will accompany you on this mission."

Kaito simply nodded in understanding, seeing his chance to escape.

"You're dismissed. Mizunoe, after he has freshened up, bring him to the chamber for the seal." Kaito heard Danzo say, causing his eye to minutely widen out of the man's view.

There was only one seal that Danzo could be talking about and that was the cursed seal that was on the tongue of every Root ninja.

'This is bad. With the level of [Fuinjutsu], there's no guarantee that I'll be able to remove the seal once it's placed. There's also the fact that Danzo could remotely access it and paralyze me.' He thought in slight panic.

The moment the seal was on him, his dreams of escape would be gone. Even if he tried to sneak out, Danzo would merely activate it, paralyzing him long enough for them to finish him off.

'It looks like I have to make my escape.' He thought as Mizunoe led him to the bathing area of the base.

As they walked, Kaito passively sensed his environment with [Minds Eye of the Kagura]. He had done this multiple times before so he knew the approximate number of ninja in the base; a lot.

Logically, he couldn't fight his way out. He wasn't strong enough for that but that was where [Flying Thunder God Jutsu] would come in.

Kaito organized his thoughts as he quickly took a shower, Mizunoe lurking just outside the bathing area. 'It's risky but if this works out, it'll be worth it.' He thought as he pulled up his status and began assigning his 140 points.

The first thing he did was assign 92 points to Dex, taking it straight to 150.

He cringed at the amount he used. It was all a gamble but it was necessary. He consoled himself with the fact that he got a perk for it.

He remembered vividly that members of Root were varying in strength. Some were stronger than the others while some were weaker but there was one thing he knew. Compared to the powerhouses of the village, they weren't that strong.

Most ninja were only in root due to some special ability that Danzo took interest in. Kaito then allocated 23 points to Int and 25 to Str.

He paused as he felt the sheer increase in his chakra levels. He had activated [Chakra Suppression] before adding the points but he wasn't sure how effective it was to hide it.

The fact that he didn't feel anyone rushing towards his direction was a good sign. His senses could easily cover the base when he didn't focus on it, that was how powerful [Minds Eye of the Kagura] was.

'With the [Feather Foot] perk, that puts me at 225 Dex.' While physical strength was important for a ninja, speed was even more important. It was also the foundation of his plan.

Turning off the shower, he took a change of clothes, easily deactivating the movement restricting seal on them. He needed to be at his full strength for what he was about to do.

As he slipped into his clothes, he exited the bathroom, finding Mizunoe standing at the entrance waiting for him.

The masked man didn't say a word, only gesturing for Kaito to follow him. As the man turned to walk, Kaito called his attention.

"Sir, I found this stuck on the wall in the bathroom." Kaito said, holding out a white tag with seals on it.

Logically speaking, there was no evidence that he was lying. Mizunoe had been the one to bring his change of clothes and Kaito had entered the bathroom in just a towel.

There was no way that he was the one who brought it in. Other than that, being in root since his 'awakening' they had no reason to suspect him of betrayal.

The root ninja paused for a moment before taking it from the boy. "You're the seals expert. What does it do?"

Instead of answering, Kaito's other hand formed a seal as black lines immediately spread across the paper and onto Mizunoe's body.

Even as he immediately dropped the paper, the lines didn't leave his body. Kaito immediately dashed forward as fast as he could, taking out a kunai from his inventory and stabbing it into Mizunoe's throat.

"Aaackk!" The man choked on his own blood, his eyes widening in surprise as Kaito pulled out the kunai and stabbed at his neck again, ending his life immediately.

He let out a breath of relief as the notifications poured in. He was aware that in a proper fight, he would lose against the man. The only reason why he won was because he caught him off guard.

The seal was one that he had drawn up much earlier when planning the day for his escape. It was a chakra suppression seal. Had he used any other seal, Mizunoe could have been able to use the substitution jutsu to escape.

'I don't have much time.' He thought as he pulled up his stats.

Speed was the key to the entire plan so he would go forward with it, putting his points elsewhere at this stage would be stupid. He assigned all 40 points to Dex, taking it to 190.

He felt his muscles tighten just a bit but it wasn't uncomfortable. 'With the perk, that should be 285 Dex. I just hope that's enough.' He thought as he dashed out of the bathroom area at new speeds.

At the moment, he didn't need to be stronger than them all. He simply needed to be faster than them to escape.

As he got to the hallway, he found himself faced with a path filled with Root ANBU. The blood on his clothes didn't help matters as they were quick to act.

Barely a second later, a large ball of fire shot towards Kaito. Without panicking, he pulled out a white tag from his inventory, holding it up in front of him as the fireball was sucked into it.

He didn't waste time looking at their reaction and neither did they as they shot forward. With a hand seal, the previously absorbed fireball shot out towards an ANBU that was just in front of him.

'There's no turning back now.' Kaito thought, a wry grin on his face.
