29 Regal joins the battle! A Monster that holds a grudges

"Huh, it didn't take much damage, this is getting more interesting," Regal commented nonchalantly.

Regal and Scathach descended to the 49th floor, Yue's attack just now had made the monster go through the floor like paper till it fell to the 50th. 

ⱤØØØØ₳₳₳₳ⱤⱤⱤⱤ!!! 

The roar of the monster came, and unlike before this was wrathful, a horrendous amount of aura burst out from it like a storm forming and the floor shook madly. The forest was uprooted while crakes appeared on the floor like spider webs. 

It fully stood up and extended its wings like a savage, the little wounds that it had suffered started to heal while its body started to go from black rotten to red grotesque muscles. 

"Oh no, I dont think I will be able to win if I dont use my soul ring and martial soul," Regal remarked and grinned, "Well, then I think I will join now," Regal disappeared leaving Scathach looking at Yue who was breathing heavily. 

"Hmm, I would really like to join but I rather not risk Yue's life here," Scathach disappeared and reappeared beside Yue who noticed immediately, "It was a smart move to take advantage of its curiosity and go with the strongest attack you got but no matter what you only have a power level of a mid-level 8 and that monster is a low level 9 but it was closer to the mid-level 9" Scathach spoke out her analysis making Ye have face of realization. 

"I see, I was trying to win a battle that was against me," Yue muttered while looking a little disappointed. 

"You did better than most, that monster had already gained a degree of resistance against your blood attack in the start, if your last attack was your first then you would have killed it," 

Yue widened her eyes and looked at Scathach was confusion, 'You are more emotional now!' she exclaimed in her mind but didn't voice it out. 

Scathach smiled in amusement, "So, what about it? Is the cold me better?" she jokingly asked making Yue pause in place. 

'Am I that easy to read?' Yue's thoughts turned a little downcast but she smiled nonetheless. "I see..."

"Yes, you are easy to read. Now, look at the fight. You are using my and Regal's fight as the base for yourself, so it would be better for you to observe rather than talk to me," Scathach advised, redirecting Yue's attention to the battle that was about to start.

Regal was about a meter away from the monster, he had his sword out and a battle-trusty grin while having a stare-down with the monster. 

The monster which was in a frozen-like state observed Regal, "Will you just stand there like a statue or will you move?" Regal remarked his tone full of amusement, it made the monster twitch but it didn't move, it glared at Regal and its eyes darted to Yue. 

BAM!

The monster was sent flying to the wall making the wall cave somewhat into its shape. "Hey, dont you think ignoring the bigger threat is s little too foolish for such an intelligent monster like you?" Regal's voice fell it was filled with amusement and disapproval. 

Regal raised his hand showing his palm, then he made a fist. The wall where the monster had made a cave closed immenditly with a snap then it glowed red hot, making the walls melt. 

He let his hand fall down and waited, the monster hadn't reacted at all but stayed in place, "Come now, trying to get as much resistance to fire and physical damage? Smart but still stupid," Regal commented and appeared near the melting wall. 

BOOM! 

The claw of the monster extended out aiming to tear Regal apart, its hand covered in mist that had turned a little bloody from all the attacks it had absorbed from Yue.

"Flame burst" Regal called out a spell and a fireball appeared right in the monster's claw. then 

BOOM! WHOOSS!! 

The fireball expanded and burst like a beam towards the monster's palm. 

"RARRRR!!!!" The monster screamed in pain but it didn't retract its claw and went right in. 

"Tempest Crystal" Regal called out another spell, the same one he used to defend against Scathach in their fight,

A defensive spell that forms a crystal-like shape made out of wind that has been solidified by condensing it.] 

The monster claw grabbed the crystal barrier and started to drag its claw in it making an irritating sound

Regal gritted his teeth, the sound was irritating, to say the least. He was inside the crystal barrier, so the noise bounced within, amplifying its annoyance. He released his aura, solidifying the air and preventing sound from traveling.

The monster's other claw came and grabbed the crystal, attempting the same tactic, but this time it didn't work. The creature realized its mistake and its upper body began to glow blue, signaling its preparation to unleash a powerful breath attack. "Ho? Finally getting serious now!?" Regal's voice boomed with excitement, his anticipation building.

"In that case, I will not hold back either!" He announced loudly as his aura burst forth, causing the barrier spell to crack from within and then...

SHATTER!

The spell shattered like glass, Regal's aura bursting out and pushing the monster's claws back. Simultaneously, the monster unleashed its breath attack, a massive blue ray beam heading straight for Regal. His sword glowed with a sharp aura, drawing in his own energy with intensity.

With a mighty swing, Regal brought his sword down, his hands showing his nerves and his expression transforming into a fierce battle-lust grin.

Sheing! BOOM!

The monster's breath was cut off, along with its lower jaw which was split in two. It quickly retreated to the center, taking advantage of the opening that had been created.

Regal frowned as he looked at his bloody hand, feeling the impact of the attack. "I see, not just resistance, but also reflection, huh?" His frown turned into a smile. He was truly going to enjoy this battle.

His hands head instantly and he started to observe the monster which also did the same, both of them were now at the peak condition the damage the monster had taken was nowhere, its healing capability making Regal more cautious. 

"You like to learn, and so do I, so this will be a long battle," Regal remarked and the monster seemed to understand, it threw one last glance at Yue who looked at the battle with analytic eyes, and it met Scathach crimson eyes making it narrow it eyes feeling a threat similar to Regal. 

Its focus returned to Regal but in its eyes, there was some killing intent that wasn't directed towards Regal. 

Regal flashed in front of the monster and slashed which was counted with a tail swiped by the monster followed by its claws striking. 

Regal blocked the tail and stepped on it while blocking both claws making his sword a great sword. 

Clang!! 

It retracted its tail making Reegal lose balance but unfortunately, Regal was prepared for that, he pulled back the great sword while lunching himself with the remaining footing he had, and the great sword turned into a Whip. 

He pulled back his whole body and instantly struck with the Whip making a gash in the monster's chest but it didn't scream in pain and fired a breath while mist started to be released from its body. 

Regal made a falling motion with his hand making the breath attack change direction and head downwards missing his completely. 

The whip turned into a sword again and he defended the hidden tail that came from the side followed by the mist that rapidly started to spread and consume all. 

Regal's aura prevented it from getting close but his aura was only giving him a vision of 2 meters in all directions, so now he is in a tough spot, he will need to predict all attacks while trying to get out. This became a cage, although he could just teleport it wouldn't be fun, would it? 

"Impose ignition"

A rapid invasive spell that changes the composition of magic to ignite, a counter for mass fog spells, and multiple obliteration spells.] 

The mist that surrounded turned blue and then it ignited into blue flames! Instantly the mist was changed to blue flames then vanished immediately but there monster was nowhere to be seen. 

Regal tried to sense and locate the monster but had no results, he waited for a bit but no response he frowned and his eyes grew sharp as he looked up. The monster was there and not in a place Regal hoped it to be. 

in the 40th floor 

Scathach's spear skewered the claws of the monster pinning it to the wall, Scathach herself was standing in front of Yue while runes covered her whole body. 

"A monster with so much potential yet it holds grudges which is its only downfall," Scathach remarked while her tone grew colder with each word.
