44 Chapter 40- Date Night and Aftermath

After dinner, Sachiko went back to her rented house and practiced her Reverse cursed technique and Nullify a little more before going to bed.

The next day evening, she stopped her training and got ready for the free dinner.

When she was at the restaurant, she checked the messages to see if Satoru had messaged her but she saw no messages. And Satoru was nowhere in sight either.

Only after a few minutes later, the guy pulled up in a black shirt and dark eyeglasses.

"You're late." Sachiko crossed her arms and stated.

"Sorry. I was being fashionably late~" Satoru replied in an extremely flirty tone.

"If you weren't paying, I'd have already left." Sachiko said, which wasn't a complete lie but also not a complete truth either. She thought that Satoru's company was quite fun and exciting, regardless of his tendency for flirting and cockiness.

"Well, good thing you haven't left yet then." Satoru laughed before getting them a table at the balcony.

"This place looks expensive." Sachiko said with a nod, appreciating the vibe and decorations of the restaurant.

Satoru chuckled, "Of course. I have a very expensive taste."

"You look like the type, I guess." Sachiko replied. Looking at the menu, Sachiko saw a few expensive dishes she wanted to try so she decided to order them all.

"You can eat all of that?" Satoru asked jokingly, "Are you feeding for two or something?"

"....." Sachiko was speechless for a second. "Did you just ask that? What do I look like to you? pregnant?"

"You never know." Satoru shrugged. "So, you pregnant?"

"What? No!" Sachiko replied.

"You want to be?" Satoru asked jokingly.

"What? Do you wanna like volunteer if I want to be?" Sachiko rolled her eyes and replied sarcastically.

Satoru laughed, "Nah, I don't do kids. I'm only 27!"

"Wow, old man." Sachiko said with a giggle. If Satoru was going to tease her, maybe he should be prepared to get the same treatment as well.

"I'm not old!" Satoru shrieked, indignant to be accused of being old.

"You aren't as young as you think." Sachiko said and that was another blow for Satoru.

"Damn, sugar, I was supposed to be the one teasing you." He said with a chuckle. "But, this is fun too."

Satoru ordered a steak and then desserts. He skipped alcoholic drinks saying he didn't like alcohol. Sachiko didn't feel like drinking alone and she wasn't even legal age to drink in Japan so she had to get an iced chocolate.

"Iced chocolate? Seriously, are you like five?" Satoru didn't let the opportunity to tease her go away.

Sachiko rolled her eyes and replied, "Says the man who ordered a milkshake.

"It's frappuccino!" Satoru replied.

"With that much extra whipped cream, milk and syrup? You might as well order a milkshake at this point." Sachiko pointed out.

"Ouch. You wound me." Satoru said dramatically.

"Thanks, that's what I was aiming for." Sachiko replied playfully.

Satoru laughed. "So, you happy now?"

Sachiko shrugged, "I guess."

"That's good," Satoru said with a chuckle.

As they finished their desserts, Sachiko leaned back, savoring the last bites of her cake. The evening had been unexpectedly enjoyable, filled with laughter and their playful banter. Sachiko noticed Satoru watching her with an amused smile.

"You know," Satoru began, breaking the comfortable silence, "this night doesn't have to end here. Do you wanna go a little sightseeing after this? I know a place with a great view."

Sachiko raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A great view, huh? That sounds like a decent proposal. Lead the way then, Satoru."

His smile widened, pleased with her response. "Excellent choice. Trust me, you're going to love it."

They left the restaurant together, the city lights beginning to twinkle as dusk fell. Sachiko found herself looking forward to whatever Satoru had in store, her earlier reservations momentarily forgotten in the promise of discovering something new.

---------------

They ended up on a hill where they could see the different buildings and the night view of the city.

"Wow.." Sachiko muttered as took in the breathtaking view.

Satoru chuckled at her reaction and said, "Told you you're gonna love this."

Sachiko laughed, "You're right, now do you want praises?"

"Oh, I love praises. There're plenty to praise me for." Being the cocky guy he was , Satoru replied with a grin.

"I figured," Sachiko shook her head, "So, what do we do now?"

"I don't know," Satoru shrugged, "You want photos?"

"That sounds good," So, Sachiko posed for a few photos and Satoru took her photos with his phone. He even showed her a few poses for the photos and Sachiko noticed that the skinships were increasing. After a while, Satoru wasn't even being that subtle anymore.

"I guess that's enough for photos." Sachiko said.

"Alright, I'll airdrop you the photos." Satoru replied and soon, he had finished sending the photos.

"Thanks, wow..I look great in the photos." Sachiko muttered when she finished checking the photos.

"You do look great!" Satoru said with a laugh, "That's for sure."

Sachiko laughed in response to Satoru's reply. For just a moment, it was as if time had slowed down and the private nature of the place made the moment a little more intimate, even more so as Satoru closed their distance and studied her face.

"You're interesting, cupcake. I wouldn't mind getting to know you a little better," he said softly, his voice blending with the gentle evening breeze.

"I wouldn't mind going out for dinner again," Sachiko found herself replying, her tone light yet laden with unspoken possibilities.

Satoru beamed at that, "Sounds like a good plan. But, before that..." He paused, his gaze intensifying as he took a step closer, eliminating any space left between them. "Why don't we make this night a little more memorable?"

As the city lights blurred into a tapestry of twinkling stars below them, Satoru's voice lowered to a husky whisper, the promise in his eyes mirroring the thrill of the unknown that awaited. With a playful yet knowing smile, Sachiko took his hand, letting the cityscape witness the beginning of their unscripted adventure.

---------------

After a night filled with laughter and unforeseen intimacy, the first rays of the morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting a warm glow across the room where Sachiko and Satoru lay.

Sachiko's eyes fluttered open to the unfamiliar yet comforting weight of an arm thrown over her waist. She turned to find Satoru, his features softened in sleep, a stark contrast to the flamboyant confidence he wore like armor. Reminded of their last night activities, Sachiko's cheeks flushed a little red.

As the sunlight slowly dawned on him, Satoru's eyes opened slowly, meeting hers with an unreadable expression. "Morning," he murmured, his voice rough with sleep, the corners of his mouth tilting upwards in a hesitant smile.

"Morning," Sachiko echoed, her mind racing through the myriad of emotions she felt. Was this just a fleeting moment, or the beginning of something more unpredictable? The silence wasn't that awkward, but it was loaded, each aware of the new, delicate thread woven into the fabric of their relationship.

Satoru's hand shifted, gently brushing a lock of hair from her face. "So," he started, clearly choosing his words carefully, "what are we doing?"

Sachiko propped herself on one elbow, considering.

"I suppose," she began, her voice a blend of mischief and solemnity, "we figure it out—one step at a time."

Satoru laughed, the sound echoing warmly in the room. "I can work with that."

Their conversation drifted then to lighter topics—plans for the day, a teasing debate over breakfast choices, each stepping around the unspoken agreement that whatever this was between them, it wouldn't just be swept under the rug.

"You know," Satoru started as they finished eating their breakfast in bed, "I came to this city to find a specific cursed item."

"Oh?" Sachiko turned to look at Satoru in surprise as she didn't expect him to tell her about his mission or anything.

"It is a finger. Ryomen Sukuna's to be exact. You know him?" Satoru asked.

"Yeah." Sachiko nodded, she definitely knew who that was because of her past life memories watching and reading Jujutsu Kaisen.

"Great, what do you say about joining me to go and get it?" Satoru invited, "It could be a fun morning exercise, you know?"

"It's already 11," Sachiko pointed to the clock, "Why don't we just go in the evening?"

"That works too." Satoru beamed, as he knew Sachiko just agreed to join him. He already knew the cursed object hunting tonight would be fun.

-------------

After agreeing the time and place to meet for their evening adventure, Sachiko decided to head back to her rented house.

Once she was back, she decided to focus on practicing her cursed techniques a little more before the evening.

In the evening, she headed to the place she agreed to meet with Satoru and found that Satoru was already waiting there.

"You're late!" Of course, Satoru would make a point by saying she was late when he happened to be early.

Sachiko shook her head and replied, "You're just early."

"Hmm, maybe coz I wanted to see you sooner." Satoru said in a flirty voice and Sachiko had a hard time differentiating his intentions. Like was he messing around as usual or was it partly his true feelings?

"So, where's that cursed object?" Sachiko decided to change the subject, making Satoru shreik indignantly, "Come on, you don't have to be so cold, sugar!"

"...where, Satoru?"

Satoru sighed, "Fine, fine. I'll lead the way."

"Alright, let's go then." Sachiko said.
