1 Prologue
Long ago, there lived two kingdoms side by side yet worlds apart. One kingdom was one of man and was ruled over by a greedy and selfish king, while the other had no ruler but lived off the help each other and was known to man as the dark lands as it was a place were monsters of all shapes and sizes lived and was surrounded by a dark and dense forest.
In the dark lands lived a pair of twins, a brother and sister named Haru and Scarlett, they were the strongest in the dark lands and were completely inseparable. However, one day the king and his army rode to the dark lands in an attempt to take it for themselves. The twins stood at the forest entrance their wings spread open and waited for the kings army to stop.
"If you wish to live then come no further, these lands are not yours to take" they shouted in unison for all to hear.
The king laughed and scoffed "A king does not take orders from two winged elves"
"You are no king of ours!!"
The king raised his sword in anger and shouted "Bring me their heads!!"
The kings army charged forward but the twins stood firm and called forth the creatures of the dark lands to fight along side them and the battle commenced. The battle raged on for hours until Haru finally reached the king and knocked him off his stallion, pinning him to the ground
"You will never have these lands not now not ever!!" He shouted in rage.
Just then a loud cry filled the air, Haru turned and his eyes widened as he saw his sister had been stabbed by a soldiers sword, she turned to face him before collapsing to the ground. Haru raised to her side and held her close
"no no no!!! s-stay with me! please I cant lose you!!" he cried as he stroked her head and tried to keep her awake. She smiled weakly at him and slowly lifted her hand to caress his cheek "I-Im s-sorry b-brother.....I-I'll always b-be w-with y-you...."
Her hand fell from his face and her body slowly started to vanish until all that remained was her hair pin that Haru had given her.
The sky suddenly grew dark with storm clouds as Haru shot into the air for all to see, he raised his hands and shouted "Listen well all of you! You took my heart and now I curse you to live each day in pain and misery for as long as you chose to live under your kings command." He pointed his hand to the king as he continued "And as for you, your greed has turned you in to a boar so from now on you shall have the head of one and spend the rest of your days alone!! This curse shall last until the end of time and no power on earth but mine can change it!!"
The king screamed in agony as his face twisted and morphed into that of a boars head, while his soldiers started to bend over in pain as they took their king away.
From then on, dark clouds covered the skys above the human kingdom and the villagers lived in misery.The king shut himself inside his castle and turned his rage against the kingdom taking every penny the townspeople had, he also sent his army to the forest and try to break into it, in order to capture the one who cursed him but to success. Haru turned the forest surrounding the dark lands into a labyrinth and made it so no human could ever enter it and so the creatures of the dark lands will never be harmed by a human again and this was how it was for years.
