Revelation - II

Upon hearing his heartfelt confession, tears started to stream down continuously on Roxana face.

The frustrating feeling in her heart since her encounter with Sebastian has finally appeased a bit.

Asher's the only person who could control her in a flip besides her father.

"I'm sorry," she choked, "I love you so much that I couldn't stand being away from you."

She added, "My life hasn't been the same since I've met you."

She lean her body towards his and embraces him firmly with her head on his chest, their body completely drenched from the rain, yet they keep embracing each other.

"I'm sorry baby, it's my fault. I should've contacted you. I'd to take care of some family things,therefore I wasn't able to contact you." Asher indeed felt regretful of his actions to stay out of touch from Roxana for a while, although he was indeed busy with some others things he couldn't told her, however he should've atleast call or maybe notified her in advance.

He gazed at her brown eyes with guilty and solemnly said, "I'd under no circumstances repeat this ever again. But, please don't ever doubt my love for you. You mean the world to me,Roxana."

"The woman in my car the other day was a family friend, there's nothing between us. Believe me, ok."

" In fact, she..." Asher paused, struggling to find the right words to clarify about Maia connection with him,"Just think of her as my family subordinate." he finally spoke.

Maia is indeed a family friends, however she work for him on contrary to his family.

He's the only member in his family besides his parents to ever had his own exclusive private subordinates that nobody knows, not even his family members.

"Can you tell me what did that man say to you?" Asher spoke softly while kissing the top of her head.

In fact, Asher had already heard most of their conversation, however he's disinclined to let Roxana know the fact that he's actually acquainted with Sebastian.

Initially, he thought Sebastian was going to reveal his real identity, however it seems he appeared before Roxana just to reveal about her biological father. Furthermore, he appear to have known Roxana and her mother for quite a long time, and he seem to be familiar with her more than he was, to which he dislike a lot.

Asher surmised that she's possibly the daughter of Ella Fields, Nathan talked about before when he came across Sebastian on one of his trips.

No wonder, Sebastian let Nathan know about Ella Fields daughter, whom nobody had ever heard off. When, in fact he'd actually already had Roxana under his surveillance even before they met.

"He told me that my late father wasn't my biological father." Roxana muttered.

"Did he told you his name?" Asher asked Roxana indiscriminately, wondering to himself something is weird about this whole revelation things.

"No, he..." Roxana paused and instantly released herself from his embrace and gaped into Asher cold eyes, "My Mother!" she exclaimed.

From the expression on her face, Asher could guess of her intentions.

Asher grasp her hand and said, "Let's go to my car first."

Afterwards, when they're inside Asher's car, Roxana hurriedly took out her phone from her coat pockets and hastily search her mother's number, with her trembling hands she call the number she hadn't contact for a while.

The phone rang continuously, however no one pick it up, to which Roxana mood instantly fluctuate in a second.

Whenever, Roxana need her mother, she's usually like this. Not picking her calls, instantly disappeared without informing her about her whereabouts. Sometimes, she even wondered she might be adopted.

Roxana chuckled at herself, when in fact she's indeed adopted. Perhaps, she's also biological unrelated to her mother.

Asher could discern her disappointment and put his hand on top of her and caresses her hand gently, as if saying her that she still have him and he'll be with her in everything.

Roxana gave him a disheartening smile and was about to say something when her phone rang.

It was her mother, therefore she instantly pick up the call.

"Mom" she spoke.

"Baby," a gentle and warm tone could be heard from the other end of the call.

The truth that she's unrelated to her father seem to take a toll on her, that she couldn't stop her tears from falling after she heard her mother warm and loving voice.

"Mom....mommy," she choked.

"What's wrong baby? Did something happen? I'm coming there right now."

Roxana heard her mother anxious voice and her tears continuously stream down on her face. She couldn't count the number of times she'd cried today.

"Roxana? baby? Can you hear me?"

Roxana's mother distressed voice can be ascertain from the other end.

"Ella, what's wrong? Did something happen to her?"

Precisely, she was about to respond to her mother, Roxana heard a frigid and masculine voice from the other end of the phone and her weeping face instantly disappeared.

"I'm fine," Roxana responded coldly, while Asher clean her tears with his hand. He could heard their conversation and in addition with the fluctuate expression she display on her face, he could surmised she's unhappy to heard a man voice from the other end of the phone.

"I'm calling you because I have something to ask you," she spoke passively.

"Roxana baby, I know something is wrong with you. Can't you share with mommy," Roxana heard her mother's warm and caring tone.

"I'm perfectly fine mom, I just want to ask you about something you'd concealed for years," Roxana replied lividly, despite knowing her mother actually love her a lot. She's unhappy with the secret they'd concealed to her for years. She felt like her whole life has been a joke. She couldn't grasped their intentions to concealed the truth to her. Although, she'd be disheartening in discovering the truth, but she'd still accept it, rather than finding it from some unknown person.

Roxana's mother was quiet for a while when she finally speak, "Can we talked tomorrow?"

She added, " Because there's something important I need to let you know too."

"I'm coming to City S tomorrow," her mother's informed her.

"Okay."
