14 Garden

Davy continued to observe; all he needed were some melon seeds to complete his look. Damn, what was this drama? He didn't expect to learn anything useful from this breakfast.

"Sorry, I just got carried away; after all, I just returned," Draven responded more seriously after a while. His tone hinted at something Davy couldn't put his finger on right now.

Wait, he realized. Draven was not afraid. No, that was not the right word. Yes, he appears more docile in the presence of Fallan. If Davy could compare, despite his tough exterior... Draven was acting like a golden retriever right now. Davy secretly smiled, clearly enjoying himself.

Fallan gave one last look before nodding indifferently. He then turned to face Davy, who was watching them. Davy pulled the smile that was almost at his lips halfway, the corner of his lips twitched as he did so. Damn, Fallan nearly caught him laughing at Draven's misfortune.

"Let's eat," Fallan said softly, and a calm smile appeared, easing the tension in the room. Davy acknowledged it and looked at Draven in front of him. He sneered at him and began to eat happily.

He didn't see Draven's reaction, but the playful kick in his foot hinted at his reaction. They ate silently, perhaps as a form of table manners, or because they did not have the time to speak while eating. It didn't matter to him because he was too preoccupied with his food.

Still, while his mouth was busy eating the food on his plate, his mind wandered freely. His eyes looked around, occasionally glancing at the two with him.

Earlier, as he was getting ready, he discovered that he would eat breakfast with Fallan and Draven. He was initially concerned. Many scenarios ran through his mind as he had no idea what to expect. Davy always had the impression that the Three Supremes were only civil to each other; after all, in terms of status, they were all equal. He was also aware that the Supremes had a history of conflict, which Davy assumed ended when he–his character–was born.

Davy braced himself for the worst, while Draven seemed unconcerned about Fallan. That might not have been the case if they had all been together. He expected a tense and awkward atmosphere, and he expected to feel guilty or something because both of them had a heated exchange with him. He, too, expected to be uncomfortable, but he was clearly mistaken.

It turns out that what happened surprised him. He had no idea that the two of them seemed to get along so well. And... He stealthily looks at both of them, his eyes studying them.

He appears to have the impression that... Fallan was clearly the dominant figure in this relationship. Davy believes this based on what he witnessed earlier. He thought it all made sense as he looked back at the calm Fallan and the tough yet always smiling Draven.

Draven caught Davy's sneaky glances, and the man immediately grinned as he winked at him. This action nearly choked him. Fuck, he was reminded yet again of how despicable this man was.

"Now, who's being sneaky, eh?" a teasing voice broke the silence, drawing all attention to him as he noticed Fallan looking at him in his peripheral vision.

Davy immediately glared at him, which obviously had no effect on him. The mischievous grin on his face only widened. Davy struggled to swallow the food in his mouth, and his grip on the utensils tightened. Damn, why was Draven so fucking annoying?

"What is it?" Fallan now asked.

He casts a glance at Fallan, who is now leaning back in his seat and staring at him intently. Davy pursed his lips. Damn, now he was in the spotlight.

Davy gave Draven a piercing stare, not daring to look at Fallan by his side. "Nothing, is it bad to look at you?" he snorted and rolled his eyes, forcing himself to eat once more. Despite Draven's teasing laugh, he didn't turn around. He chewed his food vigorously as if imagining it to be Draven.

That episode ended almost as quickly as it began. Draven didn't pursue it any further, and he appeared to be only teasing Davy. Then they resumed their silence. Davy had also stopped observing the two and had turned his attention to his food. He'd never get tired of eating these foods. His palate adored them, and they had quickly become his favorites.

Davy smiled contentedly as he set the fork and knife down. These foods were more appetizing and delicious than his food in the real world. Fucking details they got there. Davy was starting to like being here because of these small details; if only he wasn't trapped. At least, this world was like the real world.

Someone jolted him out of his trance and asked, "Where do you want to go?" He raised his head and looked in the direction of the sound, meeting Fallan's blue eyes.

Davy swallowed and pressed his lips together as if considering how to respond. Two pairs of eyes locked on him as they awaited his response. Davy had no idea where he wanted to go or what he wanted to see. The other reason was that he was unfamiliar with the Palace and had only visited the dining room and the library, aside from his room. On the other hand, he wasn't in the mood to wander much, as if he thought this Palace was a waste of time. Davy had no idea why he was feeling that way.

When Draven's loud voice interrupted his thoughts, he immediately glanced in his direction. He raised his brows slightly, anticipating what this annoying guy would say.

"How about we go to the garden since... our sleeping beauty needed some air and sunlight," he joked, teasing Davy.

Davy's brows knitted together as his eyes narrowed. He should have expected Draven to say nothing serious. He chose to ignore him and focus on Fallan instead. He didn't want to see the infuriating, explosive redhead's face.

Suddenly, Fallan's calm and nonchalant expression on his face became so refreshing. It was not at all intimidating, and Davy was getting used to it. He still preferred the quiet type; Draven was far too loud. He was a disgrace to his title.

Davy's eyelids twitched uncontrollably as the irritating laugh resounded as if someone was tickling him. Was he really the same person as the aggressive and attractive man he just made out with earlier? They are too far apart from each other.

Davy noticed Fallan cast a calm glance to the side, and the person who had been laughing fell silent. He couldn't help but snicker. Hah, the tough guy quickly became obedient. He didn't even look over at Draven's side.

"Hm, what do you want?" Fallan's gentle and patient deep voice asked, instantly calming him. Now Davy understood why Fallan was said to be the ruler of the realm. In comparison to the carefree Draven, who would most likely burn the universe, Fallan's personality is best suited to the role. Davy had suddenly developed an interest in the third Supreme. What would Lyle be like?

Davy made a decision in front of their eyes. "Well, okay, let's go to the garden then," he sneered, "It's not because of you, I just really want to go there, that's all," he clarified, especially when that smug smile of Draven appeared.

And, in Davy's unsurprised eyes, Draven was not offended by what he said and instead smiled amusingly. "Yes, I understand, Your Highness."

Again, Davy was the one not immune to the man. His mouth couldn't help but gape as he looked at him at this address. Why did this seemingly ordinary address become so irritating in his mouth? Davy bit his lower lip and averted his gaze; he would certainly ignore Draven.

With a wave of Fallan's hand, Davy's surroundings changed, and he was met with a breathtaking view. He froze, his mouth wide open as he stared at the scenery in front of him. He couldn't help but be amazed by what he was seeing. Davy forgot to form words as he kept his gaze fixed on the mesmerizing wonders unfolding before his eyes.

Even though it was his first time seeing it, the spectacular sight captured his heart. The clouds, which resembled an ocean from where he stood, engulfed the entire area. Davy stared at the panoramic view of what he assumed to be the Chaos Universe as if he were some sort of God. They were so small and far away, but the sensation of seeing them from this height was overwhelming.

The white mist appeared to be an aurora-like barrier separating heaven and the mortal world. Davy would never get tired of looking at this view. In fact, he almost thanked Draven right then and there.

Davy's black golden eyes flickered with light, clearly enjoying the sight. His golden hair swayed in the breeze, dancing as if in celebration. Unbeknownst to him, he smiled sincerely as his perfect sculptured appearance gave off an entrancing aura that would allure anyone who saw him.

With his eyes and heart full, Davy turned to look at the two people with him. He unexpectedly met the eyes of the two people who were staring at him. What is wrong with these two? His brows raised and he tilted his head. Even so, being stared at like that by the two made him feel self-conscious. Davy had yet to develop an immunity to Fallan's calm gaze and Draven's rare serious look.

"What's wrong?" he asked hesitantly, his fingers twirling at the hem of his gown, his lips pressed together.

They both blink almost simultaneously as if they had awoken from a dream. "Nothing... I'm just happy to see that you like this place." Fallan's calm tone never failed to pin down something hidden in him. It was as if, if Fallan said something, one would not hesitate to believe him.

They were standing at his arm's length on either side of him. What was strange was that he was not at all uncomfortable. Davy had that sudden déjà vu that it was only natural for them to be that close to each other. As a hand reached out and caressed his hair, his mind was pulled out. Davy shifted his gaze in Draven's direction. "You're beautiful, dear," Draven said in a rare soft tone.

One was that Davy was in a trance hearing Draven call him in that endearment that Fallan always called him. Speaking of Fallan, he cast a quick glance to his right side, where Fallan was standing. He expected Fallan to show some displeasure at seeing them being intimate, but Fallan was just standing there calmly watching them.

He didn't have a slight disapproving frown on his face, and Davy had the impression that his calm expression was softer. He suddenly became curious... What was the relationship between him–his character, and the Supremes?

He returned his gaze to Draven and rolled his eyes at him. He remembered that he was going to ignore this annoying guy. "You said it's a garden, does it look like a garden to you?" Despite the fact that Fallan was the one who brought them here, he chose to ignore it and blamed Draven instead.

Draven was taken aback at first but quickly smiled sheepishly. While they were still standing close to each other, his hand had long been pulled away from Davy's hair. "It is a garden, though, it's just... someone hid it," his brows raised playfully as if implying something.

Davy's brow furrowed, perplexed; who the hell would hide an entire motherf*cking garden? "Who hid it?"

Draven didn't respond; instead, he laughed out loud as he looked at his confused expression. The hell? This guy was really crazy. So Davy had to turn to Fallan, the most rational of them all. To his surprise, the man also had a small smile on his face. Davy looked at them both; one was laughing uncontrollably while the other was clearly having a good time as well.

What the fuck was wrong? His face turned sour, and he complained in his head. Why was he the one being played again?
