4 Chapter 4 Zombie?

Nolan observed the scene from a different section, and as he withdrew his gaze, he noticed a passenger descending from the platform.

Soon after, others followed suit. Amidst the descent, assistance was extended, particularly to the elderly and women due to the height of the platform.

When Nolan was about to go down as well, he felt his uniform was being tugged. He saw the hands of the person, its none other than the crazy girl again.

"What do you want now" he asked, feeling frustrated.

"Can you help me down its a little high" Claire said, feeling embarrassed yet again.

This guy just fondled her breast and called him a pervert, and now she called out for his help again making her embarrassed.

Nolan just said one word which is "fine" and did not say anything no more. He quickly hold her from her waist, and jumped down from above.

When they were finally down on the ground, Nolan put her down and she quickly adjusted herself.

Claire looked at Nolan and said, "Thank you hmpph!" While snorting in the end.

Nolan looked at her and wondered, "This girl is really crazy no doubt about it" he then distanced himself a little away from the girl.

When Claire saw that he was distancing hisself away from her she was stunned, she was in fact infuriated, "You how dare you distance yourself from this beauty. After touching my breast you really have the gal, to pretend like nothing happened."

She stomped her foot on the ground while also distancing herself from Nolan. Nolan oblivious to what is wrong with the girl, focus on the current problem right now.

"There's no service in this place, I should find some local people. Who lived here and asked for some directions" Nolan said.

"I have to go back and buy a cake for mom, or I'll be late for the birthday party" Nolan added feeling anxious about the passing time.

While Nolan was lost in deep thought, a voice abruptly interrupted, pulling him back to reality. "Hey, look! There's a resident here. We can ask him for help and directions," the person exclaimed, pointing towards a figure obscured by the shadows of trees and bushes, facing away.

As it was already 5 o'clock, the sun was on the verge of setting, casting a crimson hue over the surroundings. The person took a step forward to approach the individual and ask for assistance.

Approaching the person within close proximity to the forest, he halted near the still-facing figure. "Good afternoon, Sir could you kindly tell us where is this place?" he inquired respectfully.

Met with silence, he patiently waited for a response. As the quiet lingered, impatience grew, prompting him to inquire once more, "Um, good sir, do you know where this place is, and could you point us to the nearest town?"

Facing continued silence, Nolan sensed something amiss. He pondered aloud, "If the crash rattled the ground and even spooked birds in nearby trees, why hasn't that guy over there called for help or at least come to our aid?" A growing sense of unease started to envelop him.

"This place is starting to get weird" Nolan mumbled.

Growing impatient, the guy asking for directions abandoned his respectful tone. He thrust his arms forward, patting the guy's shoulder, and said, "Hey, did you not hear me at all? I said—"

His words hung in the air, unfinished, as he suddenly stood rooted to the ground, feeling frozen.

"Ma, ma, Monster!" the guy shouted as the person he was talking to slowly turned its head back toward him.

What the guy saw resembled a scene from a freshly released horror movie. The figure's skin appeared lifeless, revealing the maggots infesting the flesh inside its face.

Its smell was nauseating, akin to that of a rotten, deceased animal. The left eye dangled, almost gouged out, clinging to its socket solely by the remaining nerves.

The guy stood frozen in place as the monstrous figure approached slowly in a hazy manner, emitting growls reminiscent of an animal.

"Hap! Hel! Help me!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, terror evident in his voice as the echoes reverberated across the surrounding area.

All eyes, including Nolan's, fixated on the crawling guy. As he moved backward on the ground, the group finally caught a glimpsed of it's face.

The sight was so surreal, it felt like a scene lifted straight from a horror movie, leaving them in disbelief.

The zombie advanced with relentless growls, step by step. Upon reaching the guy, it poised to bite, but the desperate man thrust his hands forward, holding the zombie's forehead with all his might, preventing the creature from sinking its teeth while enduring scratches on his body.

"Hey, what are you staring at? Can't you help me here?" the guy shouted, exerting all his strength to prevent the zombie from biting.

Unable to stand by any longer, a bystander took action. A man stepped forward and kicked the zombie away, freeing the pinned-down guy from the imminent danger.

"Are you alright?" the man asked, extending his hand.

"I'm fine. Thanks for the help," the guy replied, expressing gratitude for the timely assistance.

As they were about to resume their conversation, the zombie stood up in an unusual way, its right knee bent sideways, hindering its movement.

"What the heck is that thing? How come it's still alive?" the guy exclaimed, backing away in bewilderment.

"It's more of like a zombie, I think. It's really smelly like a rotten flesh there's no way for it to be a person nor even a prank" the man who saved him replied.

"Zombies? That's impossible. Isn't that only something that happens in movies?" the guy said, filled with disbelief and confusion.

"Do you really think you're the only one who can't believe it? Look carefully, does that even look human to you at all?" the man said.

The guy gulped as the zombie closed in, narrowing the distance between them, even though he does not want to believe he had to, the evidence was standing before him. Even Nolan, witnessing the scene, found it hard to believe.

Suddenly, someone tugged the sleeve of his uniform. When he turned his head to look, it was the same girl.

Hiding behind him and shaking, only her head was visible as she observed the perilous situation. It was evident she saw the guy narrowly escaping a zombie bite.

Claire was really terrified she was just a normal girl afterall seeing this kind of cannibalism she could not help but shudder in fear.

The entire crowd, witnessing the unfolding horror, was gripped by terror, fear, and disbelief. The collective response ranged from sheer fright to incredulity.

Observing the girl's terrified face, Nolan allowed her to hide behind his back as he kept an eye on the unfolding scene.

"Should we just kill it?" the guy suggested, contemplating the necessary action.

The man pondered for a moment and then replied, "I think killing it is really a good solution. You do the honors," he suggested.

"Why me? Why should I be the one to do it?" the guy retorted, hesitant to take on the responsibility.

"You're the one who suggested it. Why are you asking me to kill it?" the man retorted, raising his voice.

"Fine, fine, fine. It's just killing a brainless dude, right? I can do it," the guy conceded.

"But in return, you hold him down," he added.

The man was left momentarily speechless, but finding the idea somewhat acceptable, he nodded.

"Okay then."
