Into Skyrim, Elder Scrolls 8 Nirn's Beta

So to begin, this is technically a skyrim fanfic. Why isn't it in the fan-fics then? Simple! It's based on a game and I don't feel that counts as a fan-fic. Second, I've read like a few skyrim stories here lately. I liked them, as a bethesda fan boy... Well, now I need to take a crack at it. I literally start a new game of skyrim every new year. Its my tradition, so I felt I had to do this. If its bad, ah well. If its good, GREAT! Overall though, I feel we need more skyrim based stories or fan-fics. It has the perfect setting for the transmigration genre. Now read at your own risk.

Pelagius

A philosophical question I had now thought of was, if you willingly walk into the mind of a mad man. Does that make you more insane, or just stupid. I think I would prefer the more insane option. walking through the dusty and cobwebbed filled rooms.

Nothing happened, I scratched my head in wonder and it hit me. So I pulled out the Hip Bone. Sure enough as soon as I did that the walls shifted. A portal had opened. well a portal of sorts. The hallway shifted to and blended together with a pathway into a forested foggy area. I breathed in and marched forward. As I entered the fog I slowly could see a stone table up ahead with two figures sitting at it.

Sheogorath looked over, and looked back to Pelagius. He then snapped back to me, "Who are you! I don't think I scheduled a meeting with a snow elf."

Snow elf? I mean I was technically a snow elf. I had my race as a hybrid race of Nord and Snow elf. However for Sheogorath to refer to me as one was odd. I looked down and jumped. I was re-dressed in some kind of white robes. "What?"

Sheogorath looked at me, "What you wandered into the shivering isles not expecting to match the occasion? It is only natural to be well-dressed here! Fun fact those robes are exclusive to snow elf initiates to Auriel-El's temple."

I sighed, "But I am only half Snow elf. Besides I'd say I am more Nord than Snow elf."

Sheogorath busted out into laughing, "That is a funny joke! Almost as much as a Vampiric Snow Elf Priest! Ha, anyway why are you here?"

Pelagius raised his hand to speak, but Sheogorath interrupted him. "Shhhhh! We are having a very important conversation."

I decided to just answer, "Long story short, I am here to fix his mind or whatever. So the Blue Palace in Solitude can use the Pelagius Wing again. As it stays unused since people disappear in the Pelagius Wing due to the portal to well... here."

Sheogorath nodded in a look of understanding. His next words however disproved he actually cared about what I said. "Why of course! Why didn't I think of that sooner. You are here for the Wabbajack! What else would such a distinguished gentleman would be here for."

I mean I was here for the Wabbajack, but it was whatever. I'll chalk it up to Sheogorath being a daedric prince. "Whare do we get started?"

Sheogorath looked me in confusion, "Started? Who already have! Go! Go! Go!"

I practically jumped when i realized the Wabbajack was in my hand. What was weirder was the fact my fingers were glued to it. I couldn't let go of it, so... I guess I was getting started.

I walked down one of the paths and Sheogorath's voice echoed through the fog. "Ah, yes. Pelagius had a very hard time trusting people. You could call it Paranoia even! Caused by his dear mother Potema. Wonderful lady if I must say o myself! Terrible mother however..."

I fired the wabbajack at the two guard behind the man on the throne. They turned into two wolves and tackled the man on the throne. He screamed as he was torn to pieces. Sheogorath laughed, "As expected! You knew the solution, before I had the chance to fully explain! Hardly sporting, but I won't change the rules of my little game."

Running back to the where I started Sheogorath stared at me. He just sat there smiling, "What are you staring back for? I know I am incredibly handsome, but you have work to do. Don't want to be lost in here like the other contestants."

"Right."

I walked down the next path. Sheogorath's voice echoed out again. "Now I am sure you know the drill. Pelagius had anger issues, self-doubt, and even low self-esteem. Most other people who come here had the easiest time with this part. Sadly failing to fix one of the challenges resets them all for the next Contestant to wander in."

Oh, that's actually sad. I twirled the wabbajack in my hand. Yet again I used the Wabbajack, once I was done Sheogorath laughed, "Yet again! You make it look easy! Now, chop chop, onto the next part of Pelagius' mind."

I followed his direction and ran back to the beginning and then toward the last area. I also knew it was the most dangerous. Sheogorath spoke through the fog again, "Did you know! Pelagius suffered from horrible night terrors. Most get killed during this part, so I will explain it slightly. All you have to do is use the wabbajack on sleeping Pelagius. From there! HoHoHo! I am sure you know what to do."

I walked over to a tree and began climbing it. It was a little hard with the robe, but from here I could fire off the wabbajack without getting attacked my the things summoned from it. I fired the Wabbajack's red bolt at Pelagius. The next second a wolf appeared. The next bolt summoned a fire atronach.

That actually reminded me of the atronach thrall that was summoned by Sebastian Lort. Was it perhaps still roaming around? I hit the fire atronach with the red bolt and it turned into a fire pit. Next was a hagraven, after this would be a dragon priest.

I jumped out of the tree as Pelagius the Tormented got up and walked over to the campfire. Sheogorath laughed, "With this the mind of Pelagius is fixed. Sort of, as much as a mind of a mad man can be fixed. At least he won't have night terrors anymore.

I was yanked back to the Sheogorath and the table. He looked at me, "Well! Look at you! All ready for your next adventure with a powerful daedric artifact in your possession. Now don't go to crazy with it... OR DO! HAHA! In all seriousness, I do have another quest for you. Once you leave this place and tell the Blue Palace the Pelagius Wing is freed from its curse. I want you! Yes, You random citizen of Skyrim! To kill a man named Jyggalag Grey-Prince, One of your kin. The strangers here to Nirn. He dares to take that name!"

Sheogorath slammed his fist on the table in anger I hadn't expected. The whole of the shivering Isles seemed to shake. His normal composure returned, "He is an Dunmer, who took blessings as his strength. He is currently near Dawnstar. He is after Mehrunes razor, you have one of the pieces. kill him when he comes to you. He plans on traveling to Solstheim once he completes the razor. Stop him before then and I will grant you another reward of equal value to the Wabbajack."

His seriousness disappeared and the pressure I was feeling vanished. "Now it is about time I leave, I suppose it's back to the Shivering Isles. The trouble Haskill can get into while I'm gone simply boggles the mind... Let's make sure I'm not forgetting anything. Clothes? Check. Beard? Check! Luggage? Luggage! Now where did I leave my luggage?"

Dervenin warped into place. "Master! You are taking me back. It has been so long. I had even grown a beard in the missing time!"

Sheogorath sighed, "You will need to shave that once we get home. I strictly abnned beards in the shivering isles after that whole bearded lady incident... or was that goat. I can hardly remember. Perhaps beards are in, "What are your thoughts mysterious stranger?"

I shrugged, and Sheogorath nodded, "Fair enough. New Decree! Everyone who can grow a beard in the shivering isles must now grow a beard! Stranger, as for you, my little mortal minion... You take care of yourself, now. And if you ever find yourself up in New Sheoth, do look me up. We can share a strawberry torte. Ta ta!"

Suddenly I was in a wooden bathtub. Still in the white robes and wabbajack in hand. This time I could let go of it though. However i used it to help myself out of the wooden tub. I stored the wabbajack and switched into my armor. The robes were unique so I guess I'll keep them too.

I blinked as I saw a purple butterfly float out of a window and disappear into a mist. Perhaps that was what kidnapped people into the mind of Pelagius. I guess I should see how much time has passed. Will it be as if seconds have passed or days? The passage of multiple days would be the sort of prank a mad god would play.
