33 Chapter 33: Girls outing and Ordering glass windows

The next morning, Bai Yi Yang woke up early as usual then went to the kitchen to cook simple breakfast, simple rice porridge, scrambled egg and stir fry mushrooms. Then she went and softly woke Xiao Ling up. She don't have the intention to woke up the other, let them sleep as much as they want, she also doesn't plan to wake Bai Yi Chen up.

Bai Yi Ling was a children after all so Bai Yi Yang quickly help her wash up and wear decent clothes.

Who knows that the little girl Fang Fang on bed will be woken up by them, she look at her two older sisters dressing up stealthily.

"Jiejie, are you going somewhere?" Fang Fang ask with a messy hair, her eyes is not even open properly but she is already sitting down now.

"Going to town, you return to sleep." Bai Yi Yang caress the little girl hair.

"Fang Fang want to go too.." Bai Yi Fang immediately freshen up. Bai Yi Yang awkwardly laugh and thought for a while. Well, she can handle two girls, what more, Xiao Ling is there too.

"Alright, you go wash your face, after that come eat breakfast." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Fang immediately stood up and run to the bathroom, Xiao Ling came after her afterwards.

Bai Yi Yang go to the kitchen and scoop some food into the bowl for her and the two girls, they need to leave before 7.00 am to catch the shuttle van at 7.30 am. The three people eat breakfast in silent, Fang Fang seems to be excited but with Xiao Ling warning earlier as not to make noise, if not she will be leave at house, Fang Fang ate breakfast silently.

Before 7 am, the three girls start making their way to the bus stop, they chat lightly on the road and Fang Fang immediately become active again. She ran at the front and wait for her two sister before running again.

This time around, they met quite a few other villagers waiting for the van at the bus stop, the Bai siblings didn't really recognise them, they only have saw each other a few times, it was Fang Fang who seems to know quite a lot of older aunts and uncles.

"Fang Fang is dressed up prettily today. Going to the town?" A kind aunt with a shy little girl sitting on her lap ask.

"Yeah! I followed my two sisters." Bai Yi Fang answer the aunt.

"Hi YinYin!" Bai Yi Fang said before coming over to hold onto the shy girl hands and swinging it side to side. The shy girl immediately smile softly.

"Did you ate breakfast?" Bai Yi Fang ask little Yin Yin.

Bai Yi Yang just smile as she watch her little sister being friendly with others. This is one quality of Bai Yi Fang that she found admirable, she is really too likeable, anyone can be her friends. People will easily get comfortable with her.

"Ate.." Little Yin Yin who doesn't even want to look at strangers answer in low voice.

"I ate too, until my stomach is round." Bai Yi Yang hold onto her stomach. Little YinYin laugh in response.

"Do you want some jelly?" Bai Yi Fang took out some small packet of jelly from her bag and hand it over to Little YinYin.

This is her snacks that she bought in town last time, unlike Bai Yi Mo who finish his snack on the first day, Bai Yi Fang hid her snacks carefully and only took it out once in a while. Today is one of those day, she stuff some snacks into her little pink bag to bring to the town.

Little Yin Yin look at her mother, then the aunt look at Bai Yi Yang. Bai Yi Yang smile and nod softly.

"Take it." The kind aunt told her daughter.

Little YinYin happily took the snacks and now she and Bai Yi Fang is sitting side by side, seems like Bai Yi Fang is explaining about the jelly, for yellow its mango flavour, green is melon flavour and more. Little YinYin mostly nod or ask some simple questions.

By the time they get on the van, the two girls has become best friends.

Bai Yi Yang let them be and notify the driver that she will pay the regular fee for the seat. She let the girls have their own seat. This time, the driver is not the same driver as last time, there must be several van who passed through the village bus stop.

The journey take less than 30 minutes even when the van stop 2 more times. Bai Yi Fang and YinYin finally separated when they arrive. Little YinYin mother is heading to the clothes market while they are heading to the hardware shop.

The young salesman immediately recognise her when he saw her coming from afar and bring her inside. He went to call the boss to notify him about her arrival.

"Little miss, you came again? I know that you will come again but this was very soon." The hardware boss said.

"Yes, I still lack many things when I started my wood working." Bai Yi Yang answer. This is really the truth. She had started woodworking and noticed that she still lack a lot of things if she wanted to proceed with her woodworking seriously.

"Come, come, come. Tell me what you need." The boss enthusiastically said.

"Before that, do you know any place where I can leave my two sister to play around. Something like indoor playground?" Bai Yi Yang ask the boss. Her two sisters is here, she can't just bring them to follow her around while she is looking for things. It will be too tiring and boring for them.

"You go show this little miss to the place I send my daughter last time." The hardware boss call over the young salesman to bring Bai Yi Yang to the place.

After that, they immediately go over the place. It wasn't as grand as the one in big Shopping mall, but if children were to play there for 1-2 hours, it will be more than enough. Bai Yi Fang eyes has been wondering around the place, she cannot wait to get in action.

Bai Yi Yang returns to the hardware store afterwards with the young salesman. The young salesman also told her a little bit about that place where she leave her younger sisters, their boss also frequently let his daughter play here is she came to the shop. It was a place that can be trusted.

Because of this, Bai Yi Yang went shopping at the hardware shops with light heart, she also take her time while choosing. She choose an electric jigsaw to easily cut curved line at 233 yuan price, wood sander of 134, different type and size of screws which amount to 86 yuan, she really bought a lot, then 100 yuan worth of sandpaper, door's high quality steel hinges for 395 yuan and cabinets hinges for 150 yuan, door locks for 422 yuan in total, barn door hardware kit for the kitchen door at 255 yuan and 30 litres worth of various paints which cost her almost 2000 yuan, the total of the paint alone is 1899 yuan. The shop owner was amazed with her purchase, this girl is really serious in her wood working.

"I don't know if this is enough, I may need more. Boss, can I ask for these to be delivered?" Bai Yi Yang asked.

"Of course! With this much, I will deliver it to your door right now." The boss said.

"Then, this is it for now." Bai Yi Yang said. She follow the boss to make payment at the counter, she spends a total of 3,609 yuan.

The boss ask for the contact information and address. He said that their staff will deliver it immediately. Bai Yi Yang was quite happy, she didn't have to find a transport to bring these things home herself.

"This place Qinfang Village is not far. Little miss, next time you want anything, we can deliver it to you as long as you made a purchase of more than 250 yuan." The hardware boss said as he look at the address that Bai Yi Yang write.

"Really? That is great. It's really a hassle to go to town every time. I appreciate it." Bai Yi Yang said.

Bai Yi Yang leave the shop at 9.30 am. She really did take her time choosing things. The most time consuming was choosing the paints, the primer, coating and some common colours. It was satisfying but a bit tiring.

It was still early so she went around the blocks to look around. Last time they were in town, she didn't take a proper look on what shops are there, what they sells? She concluded that there are only simple shops in this town, not the best shops there are but almost everything is there. There are bank branches, other necessary offices, restaurants and small inn. However there are not many big shop like the hardware shop, so it was one of the biggest shop in town that she found.

Bai Yi Yang head to her second destination, this shop was also referred by Uncle Duan. She asked the other day and Uncle Duan casually mentioned this small workshop in town, they made customised windows, doors and more.

Bai Yi Yang is too lazy to find materials for the windows, involving glass in her works is not practical. For the other things such as doors, door frame and anything else made of woods but not when it involves glass.

She has always think that a traditional casement type windows with wood frame is the most suitable for their house, so when she enters the workshop, she immediately stated her requirements.

"Miss, our boss is working inside, do you want me to call him over?" The young lady working at the counter said. Their shop is also displaying some finished products and even though she is sure that she can do better if it were her, their products is also quite good in general.

"No need, can you show me your design catalogue?" Bai Yi Yang said.

"Yes." The young lady smile sweetly and bring her to sit at a table, she show her the casement windows design and explain which type their shop had installed before, the materials and the wood type.

"This one is quite good, I also want a simple design, as for the installation, I can do it myself, your shop only need to deliver it to my door." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Then if Miss can give me the exact measurements and number of windows, we can immediately do it. It's just that the works may take about 1 week before we can deliver it." The young lady said.

"Oh we have a customer?" A well built, tall man in his 40s came out from the back door.

"Yes. This young miss here is ordering customised windows." The young lady said cheerfully at the man, most probably the boss that she was talking. This is the young lady first time making deal with customer for customised products, so she was a bit excited.

"Let me see.." The kind boss approach and see the notes and the measurements of each windows.

"You did well." The boss patted the young lady head. Bai Yi Yang suspect that these two people may be father and daughter or at least a close relatives.

"This design with this number of windows, it will take about 5 days. By the next weekend, we can deliver it." The boss said to Bai Yi Yang with a serious tone.

"I am not in a rush, please take your time." Bai Yi Yang said.

"For windows this design, we charge 450 yuan per 1 m2. It is stated here that you don't need installation service, so we won't charge you for that. Our shop is like other place, the deposit is half of the total price. Is that alright?" The workshop boss said in a very straightforward manner, he is also a bit scary, a timid person may get scared by him.

"Yes, of course." Bai Yi Yang nod and smile. The boss is may be a bit intimidating for other people but not for Bai Yi Yang. No wonder the young lady became the spokesperson for the shop, id not they may scare customers away.

"Miss, please follow me to the counter. I will calculate the price for you." The young lady push the workshop boss through the back door again.

"Our boss is quite serious, little Miss don't mind him." The young lady said laughing lightly.

The windows in the house has quite different sizes, for the kitchen, both are 1 m2, the one in living room is also 1 m2, the 5 bedrooms all has 0.8m2 and lastly the workshop room is the smallest at 0.64 m2.

The total came out to be 3,438 yuan. Bai Yi Yang payed half which is 1,719 yuan.

Buying made things is really quite expensive. If not because she wanted a glass window, then she would have made it herself. Bai Yi Yang leave the store with the receipt in hand. Now, she will finally go and fetch her siblings.
