266 Chapter 266: Future research team

"What are you talking about?" Bai Yi Yang ask as Bai Yi Mo listen to attentively to Ruby An, even Bai Yi Ling next to Bai Yi Mo is also listening.

"I just told them about our Country S journey." Ruby An look up and laugh lightly.

"We talked too much about boring stuff." Sir Austin noticed that their conversation is too serious, the children must be bored hearing about their story.

"That's right." Bai Yi Yang feel guilty too, she was carried away talking about research with Sir Austin. She forgot that the children may get bored with the conversation.

'They sounds like good song in a science geek's ears but in my ears, they are indeed quite boring. But don't worry, the rest is not bored, they are just in awe at your coolness Host.' TongTong said and Bai Yi Yang smile lightly. Her siblings ah, they are indeed her sweethearts.

Since Ruby An has start talking about their competition in Country S, everyone eventually start talking about it. While everyone is chatting, Bai Yi Yang went to take the Caramel Custard Pudding in the fridge, this is their dessert. Since Ruby An want since cream, she went to scoop ice cream on her own. Bai Yi Fang bring her to the fridge and point out which one is delicious.

"Anyway, do you already have an idea about next year's research? If you can start doing them earlier, then the rest in your team won't feel too much pressure." Teacher Yin said when they start talking about building two teams next year.

"It all depends on Yi Yang." Sir Austin look at Bai Yi Yang.

"Sir, if I didn't beg her, she said that she won't even do it." Ruby An return with a bowl of a few scoops of ice cream. Bai Yi Fang have her own small bowl too.

"I am afraid that I will be busy." Bai Yi Yang didn't deny what Ruby's said.

"Your Teacher Yin suggestion is good, you form the team early, then you choose a topic. Don't worry, you can just do as before and the same arrangement, I can teach your teammates." Sir Austin laugh. He knows how Bai Yi Yang is by now. She is not only his student but his research mate, he knows that she work effectively alone and she have her own pace. If he let her follow regular students pace, she may go crazy and get impatient.

"Then I have to trouble you sir." Bai Yi Yang smile and didn't pretend to reject the offer. She can do most of the research paper, she is even willing to take 60-70% of the work, but she just don't want to stay back after school to do research in the lab. She thinks going to school is only second, she wanted to spend time with her family and stay at home more.

"Do you have anyone in mind, teacher can scout them for you." Teacher Yin grinned. Now that Bai Yi Yang have agree, they need to move fast so that she wouldn't regret it.

"Actually, I have a few in mind but one of them, I am not sure if he is interested." Bai Yi Yang said. This statement make everyone quite shocked. They thought Bai Yi Yang don't mind, but she actually have people in mind already. Who is these people who managed to get into her eyes?

"Ah, I think I know." Ruby An immediately thought of something. Bai Yi Yang had asked her about a few people in her batch. It wasn't hard to find teammates for their famous R&D team but Bai Yi Yang actually ask about their future head of student's representative. He is a very active person, he joined some sports and other inter-school competition. Even though the level is not as high as theirs, at least he is very famous amongst the teacher.

"It's Qin Zheng. Yi Yang have seen his ranking and his science subjects scores very high. What more, he often give speech during assembly and Yi Yang think that his speaking tone is perfect." Ruby An said. She know why Bai Yi Yang put high importance in recruiting someone with some speech skills. This is because presentation points is very huge during the competition, the speaker is very important. The team can't just depend on her and Bai Yi Yang during next year's competition too.

"Ah, Student Qin Zheng. It's not official yet but he may become the Head Student." Teacher Yin said. She also don't know if he is interested in their R&D team because he is already busy enough. What more, she often see him but he never express his intentions or ask info about the R&D team.

"Since you think he is good, then I can also ask him. He is indeed quite good in chemistry class, he can't beat Yi Lin's level now but he is still good. In Ruby's batch, he is one of the best. His character is also likeable." Sir Austin don't have objection on this one.

"When I attended the competition, I see that image is very important. At that time, our team is very small and we only have 1 tall member, so we didn't stand out in one glance." Bai Yi Yang grinned.

"Sir, she choose him because he is a good speaker and he is tall." Ruby An add and everyone laugh. Well, it's good to be tall since they can look intimidating.

"Who is the other two?" Sir Austin ask again.

"The other is my classmates Su Long. Sir, you must be aware that he is very hardworking. He still can work on his communication and presentation skills but I can guarantee that when it comes to teamwork, knowledge and work efficiency, he is not inferior to anyone." Bai Yi Yang said.

Su Long is actually a rare gem, just like Li Jian Yu, he have been outstanding since middle school. Just look at his marks in exam, actually they are almost unbeatable. His academic is stable, he is just lacking in his extracurricular participation, except for the Mathematics Olympiad, he only did some performance with his music club in school level.

"If it's Student Su Long, then I am assured too." Teacher Yin smile. Su Long have been excellent since junior high school, almost all teachers know him.

"That's right. I am thinking that he should be in the team too." Sir Austin also nod in approval.

"Who is your last choice? Even with all 4 of you, you will kill it already." Li Jian Yu said.

"That's right. I told Yi Yang that too, but she said we should fill all 5 quotas next year." Ruby An answer. When they got such an outstanding result this year, they feel that it's a pity they didn't used up the quota. At least one more people will get the certificate.

"En. You can do that this time." Sir Austin nod. He is not worried about Bai Yi Yang at all, he is sure that she will do well planning. As for the lab work, like last time, he can work on it with the students. Without realising it, he have been very dependent on Bai Yi Yang when it comes to starting a research. Something she did, it's always an international level, there is nothing to worry about.

"I have a few names, but still need to see how they perform during the interview. I am thinking of Fang Xiu Ying from my grade, Wang Ya Chen and Ling Xi from Ruby's batch and Yao Ming, a junior." Bai Yi Yang stated and everyone nod, they have their own thought when Bai Yi Yang mentioned these names.

"Fang Xiu Ying have great interest and she is also hardworking. Wang Ya Chen should be a very good speaker too and his personality is likeable, there is no need for me to elaborate on Ling Xi, it's just that she is very quiet and if she can overcome her communication flaw, she is excellent. As for Yao Ming, he is a rising star, he will do well in all aspects. Except for being young and have a lot more opportunities, he is perfect." Bai Yi Yang said and everyone nod again.

Fang Xiu Ying is the most humble candidate in this list but Sir Austin know that she is a very hardworking student, she is very interested in the science field too. What more, she expressed a few times that she ie very interested. Someone like her will definitely give all out in the research, what can they ask more from a teammate?

Wang Ya Chen is famous in school, he is good looking and in the same debate team as Ruby An, if they are looking for a speaker, he is perfect too and if they wanted to intimidate their opponents from the beginning, choosing people with good looks is a good strategy, just like how Zhou International School being so famous even before the competition commence. But, regarding his character, it is a bit hard to comment. He is well known for being casual and lazy to attend meetings.

Ling Xi is Ruby's grade top student, she is excellent in her studies and her science subjects also rivalled Qin Zheng. She also expressed her intention to try the R&D team which is a positive thing since she is showing great interest. Ling Xi is well known for being hardworking and she did all the behind the scene work. This is her pros but this is also her flaw, she is too quiet and never appear on stage except for when she received award. If only she can improve her confidence and stage presence, Bai Yi Yang wouldn't have hesitate to choose her.

Lastly is Yao Ming. As for how brilliant Yao Ming is, the school has become the witness today during the award ceremony. Without doubt, he can immediately join the team. But as Bai Yi Yang said, he is young and he still have many chance. Maybe they can let him join the other team and get the experience first, when he enter Grade 11, he can directly enter the main team.

They are more prone to choose the seniors now so as long as Ling Xi did well in the interview and she is willing to improve her shortcomings, Bai Yi Yang will vote for her.

"This are the people that Yi Yang and me have been thinking about. But, we will accept suggestions too." Ruby An grinned.

"Your choices is well thought of. I also have their names in my list." Li Jian Yu proceed and mentioned a few names in addition to the name they have list down earlier. The rest also do the same.

But, Bai Yi Yang and Ruby An have weighed each person in their list, some name is quite impressive but at most they will be in the second team. Without realising it, their dinner have become a meeting place for them to choose new teammates.

They continue to chat in the kitchen while Bai Yi Ling brought the children to stay in the living room, they do their own things while the grown up is chatting.

When it was 9.00 pm, they naturally have to start leaving because it is getting late. The two girls are staying over so Sir Austin and Teacher Yin is not worried. In the end, all 3 of them decided to leave together. Li Jian Yu is riding his bike so they will light up the way with their cars on the mountain road then they can separate on their way in the main road.

"Thank you for cooking dinner. It was the best." Li Jian Yu said to Bai Yi Yang with a big smile. For tonight's dinner, Sir Austin and Teacher Yin bought most of the ingredients and Bai Yi Yang cook them. Of course she just tell them to buy the big things, the rest was all stuff at home.

"All thanks to Sir Austin and Teacher Yin's treat." Bai Yi Yang said and grinned.

"En." Li Jian Yu nod.

"Anyway, it may be hard to meet in the future. I hope you will have fun at school." Li Jian Yu said with quite a sad tone.

"We can always plan to meet up during your holiday. Don't make the sad face." Bai Yi Yang said with laugh.

"That's right, you turn this into a sad goodbye." Ruby An said unhappily but her eyes also turn watery.

"Alright, alright, it's my fault." Li Jian Yu laugh and pat Ruby An shoulder like a good brother.

"Sir, see how he treat me like brother and compare to how he treat Yi Lin and Yi Yang." Ruby An immediately complain.

"He sees you like his real younger sister, that's why he is like that." Sir Austin said and coax Ruby An telling her that she is the kindest, she should be the bigger person.

"See, I will be the bigger person here." Ruby An glare at Li Jian Yu and everyone laugh.

Like that, the sad goodbye didn't happen and everyone separate with laughter and smiles. When the cars and Li Jian Yu's bike is gone, the 3 girls enter back and Bai Yi Yang lock the main gate.
