CHAPTER 1: Ryujin

[Third person POV]

Ring,ring,ring,ring....a phone started ringing. Instead of picking up the phone ,the owner of the phone cut off the call.

The phone again started ringing but this time as well the owner cut off the call.This phone calling cycle went for exactly 15 rounds.

The owner was now angry and picked up the phone.As soon as he picked up his phone he heard his friend shouting "Ryujin, you bastard why dont you pick up my calls?"

"I have called you for FIFTEEN times and texted you since the last one hour."

"Why are you being weird and not picking up my calls?"

Ryujin who was still in bed replied in a sleepy voice"I'm being weird. Who calls someone during 4 in the morning."

"Adam are you drunk or something why did you call me now."

"Did you perhaps breakup with your imaginary girlfriend? If so I'm sad for you my friend."

Adam scratched his cheeks. He kind of felt guilty for ruining his friend sleep. Adam lowered his voice and started to speak apogetically.

"First of all I did NOT breakup with any body and I'm sorry for calling you this early"

"I just wanted to remind you that today is an important day for both of us ."

Ryujin spoke with a frown on his face" You know that I don't swing that way.I'm sorry Adam I cannot marry you."

Adam face palmed. He again got angry and started to shout " You make one last joke, I will kill you."

"Today is our entrance exam for Astrik Academy."

Ryujin didnt reply for a whole minute and Adam immediately realized that his freind had forgotten about the exams.

Ryujin sarted to talk after two minutes

"Adam I'm sorry I lied but actually I was not planning to give the entrance exams."

"But why ?" Adam immediately replied.

Ryujin simply said " I just dont like school."

"Ryujin you have the potential to be in the TOP 10 of the whole academy.You have a 'DIVINE ABILITY ' . "

"You are just 17 years old. What are you palnning to do for the rest of your life? Just sleep , eat , play games." Adam said in a concerned voice.

Ryujin shrugged his shoulder and said "Are you a mind reader or something? How did you know about my plans for future?"

Adam started to walk while talking and said "I am coming to your house right now I am gonna pick you up."

"I'm not in my house. I knew you would make a fuss so I went on a trip."

Adam was now even more angry."You cunning fox!!!!! What about the entrance exam form you filled."

Ryujin simply replied" Just beacuse I filled a form , doesn't mean I need to oblige to it right."

After saying that Ryujin cut off his call and

switched his phone off beacuse he knew Adam would pester his again and again."

Ren looked at his watch and it still was 4:10."Well i wake up at 6 so, might as well get some sleep."

[Rujin's POV]

I fell asleep pretty fast after Adam's call. I even started dreaming. Well since i knew i was dreaming I was lucid dreaming.

When people lucid dream it is said that they can do whatever they want in their dream.I can also do that but not for some dreams or should I say my memories that come to me in form of my dreams.

Today what that kind of dream. I was sitting for dinner with my family. My father was passing a bowl of soup to me. He looked a bit nervous. His hands were fidgeting.It was the first time my father had cooked something

On the other hand, my mother was smiling. She was beautiful. She had a perfect oval face. Every part of her face made me think that god must have made her face with his own hands.Her hazel eyes shone when I took a sip of the soup from my bowl. She looked at my father and said "Looks like he likes your cooking."

I decided to wake up from my "dream" after my mother said that. The only part of those dreams I could control was simply waking up.

You might wonder, "Why did this guy wake up from such a wonderful dream?"

Well it was the last meal i had with my family.

I looked at at my watch and it was 5:45 am. I got up from my bed and washed my face, did some light weight exercises and ate my breakfast. A typical morning routine for a 17 year old.

Since I had already decided that i would not join a acdemy. I didn't have much to do today so,I decided to head to a shopping mall to buy some clothes.

My height was 5 ft 9 inches but just in a few weeks my height incread to 5 ft 11 inches. Most of my trousers now had stopped fitting me that is why i wanted to go shopping.

I got a cab and within an 5 minutes I was at the shopping mall. I bought some ( ahem 15 )

clothes. When I was walking out of the shop ,

my eyes fell on a manga store. My favorite manga's new volume was out so I decided to buy it. I was checking out the book but suddenly my 'Sixth Sense' alerted me.

I immediately rushed over to the store owner. I grabbed his hand and hid under a table .The store owner jerked my hand off and said" WHAT are you doin"

He stopped talking when he heard a loud shriekkk of a monster.The bulding was shaking violently as if an earthquake had occured.He looked at me and looked at up . He then realized top half of the mall was already destroyed.

He couldn't speak. Fear had taken control of his body. I spoke " Old man!!!snap out of it. My magic wont hold out any longer."

He realized that I am an ability user . I lifted the table with my magic . The debris of the destroyed mall had collapsed on us.I chanted a wind spell to push the debri away.Woosh!!!

Thank god there was not too much debri otherwise we would have been crushed.I asked the old man " Are you fine?" He simply nodded. " I know you are in shock but right now I want you to trust me."

"Take the stairs and run.DON'T look back. I will also follow you. I must try to rescue some civilians. Is that clear."

This time too he only nodded.

There was a reason why i asked the old man to run. This building was under reconstruction.The building had 25 floors and the top 15 stores were under reconstruction.

So there shouldn't be any causalties. My sixth sense was telling me that the building would collpse within 10 minutes because of the earthquake caused by the monster.

I am not a hero who likes to save people but also not a villian who enjoys seeing people die.

While we were running I saw some people hiding under tables. I simply waved at them and they understood that I was helping with evacuation. I led 60 people from the fifth floor to the 1st floor. As soon as we got out the building collapsed.

Most of the people I had rescued worked in the mall. The mall was famous for it's restaurant which was on 6th floor and upwards and since the upper floors were being renovated there were not many people in the mall.

All of the people looked at me and said "Thank you". It did feel a bit good not gonna lie. But that feeling didn't last long. I saw 5 orcs running at us. I shouted "Run!!!!"

The people started running.It was chaos. The attack didn't happen only in the mall but the surrounding area as well. 5 orcs came running at me .

At that moment I said to my self " Sh*t, I should have gone to give my exams."
