82 Chapter 82 - Decision For The Future

(Here's an Extra chapter. Im already at CH 85, writing about Muv Luv contract world and possibly mass releasing for a bit since my inspiration is overflowing for a bit. As usual, 100 pwr stone per chapter. This Chapter is released in advance so the next extra will drop after 200 pwr stone.)

"What is the meaning of this, Adam?" The Admiral asked with a hidden rage under his tone. "Why are you aiding the rogue prototypes?"

An hour before, upon his arrival. Adam meets with Illustrious and Unicorn who are helping the troops under attack by planes, helicopters and armored vehicles while their side has none to retaliate and only able to rely on the two Aircraft Carriers shipgirls to retaliate.

"Enty." Adam called her name and she immediately nodded. "Yes, Commander." She said before jumping into action with her new sniper rifle that replaced her bow and immediately sent out two squadrons of jet fighters to assist.

Alices and Tina also join the fray and help eliminate high priority targets with their superior weapon and combat skill.

In the meantime, he gathered the necessary information from Illustrious and ascertained the truth.

His action of course didn't go unnoticed by the government and immediately reported Adam's actions to the US which resulted in the present.

"I'm trying to save humanity of course. My goal has always been that and will never change." Adam talks on the phone.

"Surely you understand right, Admiral. KANSEN is the future. Without KANSEN, humanity have no chance against the Siren. The Britain is the perfect example. More than half of their Navy along with tens of thousands of mens died to some Siren fodder fleets. Do you understand what that means?" He paused with a question which the Admiral couldn't answer and remained silent. "I will tell you. The only one that can effectively combat the Siren is the KANSEN and this is the perfect opportunity for me to make my declaration. The establishment of Azur Lane coalition. The coalition with the only purpose is to unite all KANSEN to combat the Sirens and I will do it with or without the rest of the world's government."

"What nonsense are you talking about? Do you really think you could run the entire show on your own? Without support and resources from us, how can you even sustain those Prototypes?" The Admiral finds Adam's declaration ridiculous.

"Who says I couldn't provide my own resources? Also, if you are thinking about threatening me using the KANSEN's Wisdom Cube then you can forget about it because…" Adam trailed off his words and moments later he heard from the otherside of the call. A panicked cry about the Wisdom Cube had been stolen right under their nose.

There's no longer a need to talk. Their relationship were never meant to last and he already expected it to sour sooner or later because the manipulation of his System isn't absolute. It's meant to only be a headstart.

"Commander, your orders?" New Jersey excitedly asked after Adam crushed and dropped the phone.

"You bring everyone to spearhead the attack. Try not to cause excessive damage if possible. We still need this nation intact." He said to New Jersey who saluted and led everyone off except for Enterprise.

"What about us, Master?" Jeanne wondered.

"We will find Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the Royal Navy." He said while looking at his Servants and Winter who is the only one left without any order given yet.

In an undisclosed KANSEN research lab.

"Go! My loyal servants!"

"Hold the line! Don't let them in!"

Two sides of soldiers from the same nation fought fiercely to seize control over the lab. The soldiers garrisoned inside outnumbered the invading group 20-1 yet they are losing ground very fast mainly because the otherside have shipgirls to aid them which is a literal sentient weapon of mass destruction.

The Royal Maid's Belfast and Sheffield expertly wield their piston-cannon to dismantle the resistance of Her Majesty's enemies. However, the enemies retaliated with guided rockets which even being a KANSEN didn't mean they were impervious to it and forced to scatter.

They wasted too much time being stalled for more than an hour when enemy reinforcements arrived. Two squadrons of the armored division rolling out their main battle tank as that's the only semblance of hope they have in defeating the KANSEN who embodied a warship in literal meaning.

"Your Majesty!" Warspite quickly placed herself before Queen Elizabeth when one of the tanks fired on her and Warspite slashed the shell in half with her blade.

"Belfast! Sheffield!" Warspite called and they immediately understood and retreated before lifting away Queen Elizabeth as the tanks were ready to rain down more shells and they were in the open without any cover.

"Let me down! We cannot abandon our assault here. This is our only chance to secure the Wisdom Cubes of our Royal Navy." Queen Elizabeth resisted and demanded to be put down but unfortunately, the Maids and Warspite are willing to defy her order because her safety is in risk.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. I will fight alone. It's better this way." Warspite materialized her rigging and brandishing her sword before she moved as swift as she possibly could.

As a Battleship, Warspite's speed is slow. But still fast for human standards as she closes the distance between her and the tanks in just a moment and her cannon barrels aimed at their target before she shoots.

*Boom!* x3

"Fuck! Fire! Fire! Fire!" The tank commander shouted in a panic when he saw three tanks were put out of commission very easily.

Autocannons and main cannons rained down fire on Warspite upon being ordered. She quickly jumped back a little and crossed her blade before her body and braced for the impact. She soon learned that she shouldn't look down on those tanks just because their caliber was smaller. The attack didn't cause any significant damage, thankfully. But still hurt a lot and could cause worse damage if she let those shells hit on her.

However this isn't the end of her trouble because moments later a few objects speed through speed of sound and zips through the sky. It's the enemy's aircrafts and they let loose half a dozen missiles.

"Oh no!" Warspite exclaimed as she is too late to dodge and even if she did, they are guided missiles. She could only stare at her impending death with full acceptance and without any trace of fear. Instead, all she felt was regret. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty. This knight failed to fulfill her duty." She mutters with a sad reminiscing smile as she sees the missiles in slow motions flying toward her.

*Bang* x6

Six well placed shots came out of nowhere and each hit the warhead of the missiles and penetrated them but didn't explode. Instead, they dissolve away harmlessly.

"Who?" Warspite wondered as she turned around to see a man in a white uniform that tells he is a naval officer of some sort.

"Siegfried, Jalter, I leave those tanks to you two. The rest is on me. We are breaking through." Adam barks out orders and everyone works in unison like a well oiled machine.

"Lady Warspite. Are you alright?" The worried Belfast approaches the dazzled Warspite to check on her.

"Who are they?" Warspite wondered.

"Ah, they are the Eagle Union that came to support us. Anyway, they will open the path for us. Let's go, Lady Warspite." Belfast urged as Queen Elizabeth and Sheffield already followed behind Adam as he rushed through the path opened up by Siegfried and Jalter through the line of tanks and currently breaking through the ambush of human soldiers in the lab.

"Seal the door!" The soldiers inside shout when seeing Adam and co breakthrough the line of tanks. However, they underestimated him.

Adam equipped his armor and turned on Strength mode, turned on his Aura's body enhancement and finally his Armament Haki that formed an invisible coat of energy on his selected body part. Then he speeds towards the blast door that is closing itself while constantly under fire by the soldiers and with a few powerful punches, he rips the whole door from its frame.

"M-Monster! R-Retreat!" The fearful soldiers abandon their fortification when Adam casually rips the door that not even a tank can run through.

Even Adam looked at himself in surprise because his previous strength wasn't this good. Not that he can't do this feat. But rather he felt like he did it a little too effortlessly.

"It seems Master's daily training is bearing some fruits." Jeanne said and helpful point out when seeing the confusion in his expression.

"It seems so." Adam agreed while grasping his fist but realized this is not the time to relax yet. They still have to secure the Wisdom Cubes. "Follow me, I know where they are keeping the Wisdom Cubes." Adam said to the Belfast, Warspite, Queen Elizabeth and Sheffield that just arrived.

With Adam's guide, they quickly went deep into the lab and headed toward a vault which Agent identified to be where the Wisdom Cubes are stored. However, they face fierce resistance from the soldiers guarding the facility. Doors locked, hallway rigged with traps, ambush, etc.

But, no matter what the soldiers did. It was futile because Adam brute forced through all of them. Even as explosives and hail of bullets were thrown at him, he went through them all effortlessly as if they didn't affect him at all.

The shipgirls of the Royal Navy are aware to some extent of the rumor about Adam being a human from another timeline. They were doubtful but now they are fully convinced it is the only explanation.

In their eyes, Adam is the perfect Commander unlike the spineless cuck that was their previous assigned commander that shivers at the sight of them but has an ego bigger than Mount Tai and prone to power trips. Adam can command and fight skillfully which shows he isn't lying about his experience. He also isn't shy from battle as he did right now, literally plowing through the enemy resistance behind the unreadable mask of his visors.

"Dr James. Is there nothing we can do about those rogue Prototypes?" The Prime Minister asked through a video call.

"There's something we can do… It's a protocol in case the Prototypes rebelled because KANSEN is originally a technology that originated from Sirens and we had been extra careful. However, the activation key was in the hand of the Commander." Dr James replied a little hesitant and even dodgingly.

"Then do something about it. Do everything in your power to kill them. The fate of our nation is in your hand Dr James." The Prime Minister said as his last message before the call ended with the sound of gunfire from the otherside of the call.

"Are we really going to do it, Dr James? You know what happens if the Wisdom Cubes collapsed. It creates an explosion no weaker than a tactical nuke explosion." The other scientists said with an afraid expression.

"We received our order, Edwin. We are the one that created this and we will be the one putting an end to our mistakes." Dr James said with a hardened expression which is clearly seen by everyone.

After all, KANSEN were created to be a hope for humanity to survive against Siren but now their own hope is slaughtering people and using brainwashing ability that none of them even knew the Prototype has to cause a full blown civil war that raged across the nation.

In the end, Johnson and the other scientists and lab workers agreed with Dr James and got to work immediately to create an alternative way to activate the countermeasure they put inside the Prototypes.
