62 Chapter 62 - Tying Up Loose Knot 2
"That's about all of them, Nii-san." Tina said after she shot down the last soldier hiding on the roof of a nearby shop trying to snipe Adam.
"The battle is nearing its end." Adam stared at Rentaro and Kagetane punching fist at one another.
They are already fighting beyond using skill and finesse. This is just a straight shone protagonist fist fight to see who has the strongest scream instead of punch.
"HA!"
"HYAA!"
"HaAAAH!"
"HAAAAAA!"
Finally, Rentaro managed to land a finisher combo. A quick feint right jab that turns into an elbow strike with the left arm and then a rising dragon punch. A punch executed along with a jump aimed on Kagetane's chin which threw him up into the air. With glowing red eyes consumed by rage, Rentaro still hadn't finished yet as he rotated his body 360 degrees using his jumping momentum to land a devastating kick which threw Kagetane back to the ground, creating a ten meters wide crater of spiderweb crack which scored a K.O. on Kagetane.
"I knew it." Adam mutters tiredly, knowing this is the bullshit the Universe tries to pull on him.
As if to reaffirm the idea, Rentaro immediately snapped his head at Adam before flying into another rage and beeline toward him.
"Nii-san!" "Father!"
Adam stared at Rentaro who was charging at him like an enraged bull. He sighed and entered a defensive stance with his body lowered almost to a half squat and his arm loosely placed in front of his body. One raised like a shield and another coiled back in anticipation of an opportunity to strike like a viper. He was never trained in martial arts before and neither did he try learning them. So, some might ask. What is Adam doing if he was never trained in martial arts?
Well, the neat thing about having basically a mini supercomputer in his futuristic armor is he can be an expert martial arts. It's no different than like playing a fighting games in an Augmented Reality console. His armor behaves like his own exoskeleton which can guide his body movements.
When Rentaro trying to land his flying kick, Adam's right hand shoot out at the perfect moment like a viper to catch his leg and he twist his body to slam Rentaro to the ground, using his own momentum against himself.
"GAH!" Rentaro felt all the air in his lungs were squeezed out and his back were numb. But like a zombie, even a devastating smash like that can't put him down as he rise up and glare at Adam, spitting up some blood before he charge at Adam again.
When Rentaro almost reached Adam, Adam suddenly disappeared. His body vanished into thin air. He turn around frantically trying to find his missing prey but failed.
"It's useless. Better wake up before I decide to kill you, Satomi Rentaro." Adam reappeared with his right hand grasped into a fist and coiled back like a loaded spring which shoot forward at the right moment and hit Rentaro's solar plexus, knocking out the demon that possessed him before he fell lifelessly on the ground.
"Rentaro!" Enju tried to escape Kohina and Tina's encirclement to save Rentaro. But Kohina pinned her down with her blades barely grazed her neck and Tina placed the muzzle of her sniper one Enju's forehead. One wrong move and her brain will be blast out of her head.
"Let go of me! Let go! Rentaro! Rentaro!" Enju screamed like Adam just murdered Rentaro in cold blood when in reality he just knock Rentaro out.
"Renta—ro…" Tina also knocked Enju out to save them the hassle.
After the Main Cast pair were taken out, there is no one left on the Tokyo side anymore to stop them. The Mechs and the girls immediately get to work to rescue any Cursed Children then can find. Those that wish to leave this world can follow Adam. Those who don't can stay, it's their choice.
In the end, Adam rescued more than 12 thousand in just Tokyo area alone. Almost 100 thousand in Japan alone.
"I might had underestimated their numbers a little." Adam said to himself while looking at disbelief at the final number.
A total of approximately 60 Millions Cursed Children were found and rescued all across the globe. Adam was under prepared. He only estimated around 10 Million and made preparations according to that numbers which turn out he had been grossly underestimated.
It takes Adam almost 120 trips back and forth, sending the Cursed Children to Remnant. He literally singlehandedly increased more than half the population of Remnant with his action. Providing for them will definitely be a headache for a while until he can figure out something.
"I can build a new city with that numbers." Adam mused and thought about making an exclusive new city to accommodate the Cursed Children.
Their number is too big to fit in to the existing city in Remnants. Since he have no other place to let them live, Adam thought building an entire city around them.
Building a city might sound like a very time consuming work. But with robots, building a functional city in a week is definitely possible. But it might not look aesthetically pleasing since its a rush job.

A week later, in Remnant.
Down west of Vale, in between Vale and Vacuo, a city was carved out of the wilderness of Sanus. A unique and special city. A city filled only with young girls and a lot of robots which handle the operation of the entire city from sweeping the floor, cleaning garbage to working the industrial farmland and defending the walls from Grimms attack.
In the city, an adult is a rare sight with how the city isolation itself and only selected few get the chance to enter.
Today, Adam was walking down the street of the city. Doing a round of inspection at the buildings, facilities, etc.
The city is bigger than even Vale mainly due to Adam want it to be self sufficient which is why the land dedicated to production of food is almost as big as the city itself, runned by robots from the day to day operations to its maintenance.
It can and should, in theory supply enough food for 60 Millions people using futuristic and cutting edge agricultural technologies. From industrial hydroponic farm that can pump out vegetables three times faster than normal to futuristic poultry ranch that designed to produce the best quality meats although the process is slight inhumane.
Then the remaining land of the city is divided into several district. It was aimed to be self sufficient. So, besides housing and the academies, there is also shops for all resident's needs, recreational area, entertainment, etc.
Basically, Adam just tried to copy Academy city from Toaru. Just without the labs or heavy industries, etc. It's purpose is only to provide living space and education to all Cursed Children until they reach adulthood.
Also, Adam relocated the mansion in Vale to the Academy City. He have no need to stay there anymore since he fully pulled out from the government. He now lives full time in Academy City with everyone.
His new home is also big to accomodate the 20 thousands Cursed Children that was with him from the start. The home was actually a skyscraper overlooking the sea. He live in the penthouse on top with his companions and his family while the children occupied almost the rest of the building.
After he is done with the inspection on the academic district and find everything is working satisfactorily. Adam walk through the empty street to the shopping district to continue his inspection.
He walk up to a convenient store and was immediately greeted by the robot manning the counter.
"Welcome to Noir's 24 hours Convenient Store." The friendly sounded robot cashier greeted.
Adam nod his head at the robot before he look at the interior of the shop. Just like any shop. It has everything a convenient shop should have. Well, excluding the Dust ammunition that is. It might look weird to sell ammunition on a convenient shop but most of the girls are studying to become Huntress so it might not be weird.
Other than that, there's nothing else unusual. Adam walk to the back of the shop and grab a few cans of beer from the fridge before walking to the counter again.
Yes, the shop sell beers too. The city not lived fully just by Children, there is also a few hundred adults working as teachers.
"Purchase of restricted goods require age verification." The robot cashier said and requested him to verify using his Scroll. Adam let the robot scan his Scroll which pass the verification without any issue.
"Customer is confirmed to be age 18 and above. The total will be 120 Lien." The robot cashier said.
Adam noted the restrictions are working well as he fished out two 100 Lien card and look at the selection of cigar and cigarettes in the glass display behind the counter.
"Get me two pack of that Mentol Mal#oro too with this lighter."
"That's will be 175 Lien total."
Adam paid for his stuff and left after receiving the change. When he is back on the street, he crack open a can of beer and drink while he walk.
Being in the Academy City reminded Adam of his previous life. The street look the same, architecture loom the same and the vibe feel the same. It made him feel nostalgic and made him want to get a taste of his old memories again.
He walk from the shopping district up to the residential district for outsiders and staff that is next to the sea. He stop at the seaside park and smoke his cigarette in silence, accompanied by beers.
"The Cursed Children had been saved and relocated. All loose end had been tighten up. I am ready for the next world." He said to himself in a daze while watching the wave hit the rock barrier protecting the shore.
"Hey, System. Is the next world going to be random or could be chosen by me?" Adam suddenly thought of this and asked.
[The world will be chosen randomly.]
"I see." Adam hummed while finishing the rest of the can and then he throw the empty can into the bin few meters away.
Adam then inform Agent about the date of his planned departure in another three days. Another two day for preparation and one day allocated for the farewell party.

Fast forward, three days later.
On the top floor of the skyscraper is an open roof area where a farewell party is ongoing.
The farewell are mostly for the children but it also includes those who stay behind with Adam's companions. In the list is Executioner, Destroyer and Scarecrow. The former two is needed to handle the defense of the city as for Scarecrow, she is content staying cooped in her lab doing scientific breakthrough than joining Adam for his next adventure.
That mean, travelling along with Adam is Alice, Agent, Winter, Tina, Jeanne, Jalter and Siegfried. This will be the crew for Adam's Interdimensional Fleet, travelling to a new world.
"When will you return, son?" Willow look sad for obvious reason because two of her children and another in-laws were leaving to somewhere potential dangerous.
The reason for Willow's lackluster reaction to Adam's ability to travel to another world is because he cooked up an explanation which Willow accept with him gaining System on his death bed and gain power in exchange of being recruited into service as an Interdimensionary Mercenary.
"I don't know yet. Time behave strangely in another world. But I promise to regularly visit home." Adam said.
"Of course you would." Willow huffed.
"Yes. Yes. I definitely will, don't worry, mother." Adam said, no longer feeling uncomfortable calling Willow as his mother. He just think of her as his mother-in-law as he is married to Winter.
"Good. Now, you better give each of them a proper farewell or they will get upset." Willow points at the group of eager children wanting to spend as much as the remaining time they have before Adam leave.
"This going to be taking a while." Adam chuckles sheepishly knowing it would be tiring to give each of the 20 thousand children hugs and words of farewell. But he won't run away from it. He wouldn't deprived the children of the affection they crave although its not exactly the affection they wanted from Adam.
By 4 AM in the morning, the farewell party is done. Adam and his selected companions board the Orbital Fortress in preparation for a Quantum Leap. As for Willow and the girls, they stared at the blinking light in the sky that might look like stars but actually is the Orbital Fortress, flickering faster and faster before it vanished.
"Good bye, Father/Big Brother Adam!!!" They shout with sadness in their tone. Some even sniffles and sobs at his departure.
"Alright, children. Time for beds, you all stayed way past midnight." Willow cooed everyone to get to beds. "As for Adam, he will definitely return in the future so don't worry and instead focus on improving so one day you can also join him in his travel."
"Yes, Grandma Willow!"
"Hmn. Alright, go brush your teeth and get to bed. Grandma will bake cookies for everyone for being a good girls." Willow guide them out from the roof to let the robot staff start on the clean up.

(Alright. So, which main world is next? Man its too hard to decided. But in the end, I choose Azur Lane in favor for able to get away with more bs since it's lore is poorly understood by the player in oppose to HI3 where I can get death threats for missing the smallest, most minor detail like how many strand of hair or how many oxygen someone exhale.
I'm joking btw. But someone did for mistaking Kiana and Fu Hua's breast size long time ago like before 2020 it becomes a meme.
But in all seriousness, HI3 lore is too explored which mean less room for error and change compared to Azur Lane which according to the survey. 90% veteran players with minimum 4 years old acc have absolutely zero clue what happened in the story. Me included.)
