126 Chapter 125 - Mass-producing The Ultimate Army

(Ya boi is finally back in business, guys. So, same schedule. Three chapters per week. Sorry this chapter is a little short. Got used to writing less than 2k words. Anyway, our immediate goal would be sorting out AL world a bit and then go Honkaiverse.)

Deep inside the walls of the Orbital Fortress is a room not many know of its existence.

Adam sat inside his workshop or perhaps lab, whichever fit the definition. He had been cooped here for the past month, trying to make a breakthrough in his research of creating the mechanical army of Quincy.

The android soldiers he made are created with T-Doll technology at the base and he then adds other technology in to improve and improve until he can create a body that he is satisfied with. However, everything so far has been weak. Incredibly so that none can even take his weakest attack and survive.

Currently, the one right in front of him is his eighth prototype. The prototype created after Adam realized that creating a stronger body is impossible. He focused on creating one that can regenerate itself. This prototype is created using the Nanomachines technology and Ceph technology found inside his suit.

The advantage of this prototype is that it's capable of regeneration as long as there are Nanites available. But also easier to manufacture because the majority of their parts would be assembled out of Nanites anyway. This makes manufacturing and repairing them much easier

Adam finished constructing the body and took out a Neural Core, the physical core of the AI's Neural Cloud, or their brain. He placed the Neural Core into the 8th prototype body and waited for a few seconds before the 8th proto-body opened its eyes.

"Are there any abnormalities or incompatibility?" Adam asked before patiently waiting for the AI to scan the body.

"No incompatibility issue detected." The AI replied after a few minutes.

Adam nodded with a satisfied look on his face. He spends a lot of time designing the Neural Core and Neural Cloud for his Soldats, it's obvious there will not be any issues. But since there's no issue outside of combat. Now it's time to check if there's any problems during the combat.

Adam grants the AI, the Shrift of 'S' for Soldat or Soldier. To be honest, the name had no impact at all on the power he bestowed.

His plan would be to have three types of Shrift for his mechanical soldiers. Starting from Soldat, the footsoldier to Sternritter, the elite soldier and lastly Grandmaster, the leader.

The higher the rank, the better the power he will bestow. Starting from Soldat who will receive all the basic Quincy power with the standard Vollstandig. Then the Sternritter will receive a custom Shrift and Vollstandig that suits them and the Grandmaster will of course have the best one.

After dressing up the Soldat in white uniform with a short white cape, a white hat and finally a gas mask that covers his face. Their appearance is exactly the same as Quincy Soldat of Wandenreich. Adam didn't even know why he wanted them to look like this. Is it because they look cool? Possibly.

But once ready, he brought the Soldat to the training ground to test its power. Starting from the basic Reishi Control to Heilig Bogen to create a bow to Vollstandig. Adam made it use each one of its abilities and it did so perfectly since Adam included his knowledge of Quincy Power in its Neural Cloud to skip the need of training. They will be combat-able soldiers the moment they leave the production line.

Meninas and the rest of the Bambies who see themselves more like a captive of Adam more than anything else.

At first, they have a hard time blending in with the new people unlike the Arrancars and even that one scary Shinigami.

They usually seclude themselves to their own group and do their own things to keep themselves entertained while Adam, their captor, is usually absent except during meal time. Except for training, they usually spend their time exploring the Orbital Fortress which they found to be an impossibility as it's actually floating in outer space! Outer space! None of them could believe it until they saw Earth, Moon and Sun. It's a mind blowing experience for them.

They all did eventually find the places they like to spend their time. For example Liltotto who likes to help Jeanne in the kitchen because she can snack on things when she gets hungry and Jeanne is very understanding of her situation with her power that makes her constantly feel hungry and always eager to have someone to taste her cooking whenever she is experimenting on a new dish.

The most miserable one amongst them would be Bambietta because she cannot do the things she enjoys anymore and could only derive joy from the usual training and sparring.

Regarding training, this is the activity they enjoyed the most. Almost everyone gathered here for training each morning especially since Adam granted Quincy power to his people. It surprises the Bambies that these people are able to master the Quincy power that easily when they expect it would take months to properly master the Quincy abilities.

Within two weeks, everyone already became capable of rivaling them, the real Quincy.

Agent is a very efficient and analytical combatant that reminds the Quincies of BG9. Winter is very skilled in swordsmanship and using Blut but loses out on marksmanship. However Tina is different as she is the opposite of Winter, wielding an anti-material rifle as her Spirit Weapon of choice among other firearms with unrivaled Marksmanship that drowns her opponent with endless hail of deadly bullets that is extremely accurate.

However, out of the sudden. Adam contacted them and left a message to test out a Soldat he created.

Of course, they were confused. Soldat? Why would he want to create something like that when he is quite literally the strongest existent they had ever seen.

They didn't question it much and all five of them head to the training ground to help test out the Soldat. Adam himself isn't there thankfully. Only a person who looks like your typical Soldat from Wandenreich, with white and smart looking military uniform from Wandenreich and a mask that hides away the face underneath.

"Is this the one we're gonna test?" Liltotto said with slight annoyance because she is forced to leave the cafeteria for this weak looking thing.

"Let's just break it and be done with this." Liltotto said and no one is stopping her. Meninas only gave a reminder not to destroy it because Adam ordered them not to.

With a grin, Liltotto is very confident with her ability and uses Blut to attack the Soldat with hand to hand combat. But little did she or anyone expected. The Soldat they thought of as an easy opponent for the picking was actually formidable!

"Hostile action verified. Target designation turned to enemy. Inspecting database for opponent's combat data… Data found and verified. Liltotto Lamperd, The Gluttony. Applying countermeasures into battle tactics." The Soldat mumbles behind his mask before suddenly vanishing using Hirenkyaku and Liltotto's fist only hits his afterimage.

"What!" Liltotto is extremely surprised by how skilled the Soldat's Hirenkyaku were.

"Liltotto!" Someone shouted to warn her and Liltotto immediately sensed danger to her left and turned her head to see a dozen high-powered Heilig Pfeils right in front of her face.

*Boom!*

Liltotto was hit and the arrows exploded in her face but thankfully she activated Blut in time to protect herself. The Soldat is weird. Its Reishi power is obviously lower. But it's skill is very— No. It's Extremely high! This does not match up.

Before Liltotto had much time to contemplate, the Soldat already came after her with a sword and pistol in hand, attacking her with deadly precision and skill that is not inferior to a master swordsman.

But the Soldat is not without flaws, it's skill is high. Its Reishi Manipulation isn't high enough because it lacks Reiryoku and that can only be raised with time and constant training.

The Soldat suffered quite a number of injuries because Liltotto's punch and strikes is still very powerful and pierce through its Blut Vene. However, what's made Liltotto and the other Bambies suspect something is the Soldat never bleed blood and it's injury always regenerates very fast that they initially thought it was a Hollow with their signature Hyper Regeneration.

But, they later realized it when Liltotto purposely punched and shattered its mask. Its face is also partially shattered to reveal its mechanical parts underneath that regenerate rapidly along with the shattered mask.

"It's a machine!" They all exclaimed in shock and chill.

A machine able to outperform them, a real Sternritter? This is not the matter of winning anymore. This is a matter of dignity.

"Sklaverei!" Liltotto called before transforming.

Liltotto smirked because Vollstandig is the ability only the true elite can use. Not something a common Sold—

"Sklaverei" The Soldat calmly said before also gathering the ambient Reishi before it revealed a black glove in its right hand that absorbed all the Reishi it gathered before it uttered another word very calmly.

"Vollstandig"

The Soldat reveals two pairs of blue Reishi wings the shape of a stripe and a similar blue halo on his head.

"Impossible! It really does have a Vollstandig!" They all exclaimed while Liltotto is feeling pressured as the ambient Reishi had been swiped clean by the Soldat faster than she could and unleashed its Vollstandig form.

"Surrender now or die." The Soldat said with an emotional voice behind the mask while pointing its pistol straight at Liltotto's head and charged with an Heilig Pfeil that was ready to be shot.

"Fine. I admit defeat." Liltotto sighed and felt really angry at herself for being defeated by a machine! A machine of all things!

Meanwhile the others feel threatened by the Soldat. If Adam can already create even a simple Soldat to be stronger than a Sternritter like them. Wouldn't they be useless in the future if they allow this to continue? If they lose their worth as a Sternritter and become useless in Adam's eyes, they all fear the same thing will happen to them as other Quincies of Wandenreich. They will be killed by Auswahlen to make his power stronger.

Chills immediately set down their spine when thinking about this. They all immediately and desperately train themselves to be better as they continuously fight the Soldat to train themselves.

Meanwhile Adam, who is observing the Soldat's combat testing in secret, feels weird that the five Quincies suddenly look so fired up and train using the Soldat as an opponent like their life is depending on it.

"Hmn. Looks like the testing went well. It's time to start mass-producing them." Adam shrugs and returns to his workshop to prepare for the mass-production plan.
