But he soon learned that even if this dark world of magic and fantasy seemed not as dark as he previously thought, it wasn't the beasts and monsters he had to fear. His only hope was setting up a place for him and learning of the way this world functioned while gaining enough strength to reveal the mysteries shrouding him. ************ The summary will be updated with following Volumes as to not spoiler. A (not so) grand finale

As Jay glanced over the Succubus' alluring slender body, he halted at her chest. She still wore the tight fit leather corset with embroidery that fit perfectly to her string and hid her modest or average breasts.

Reaching out his hand, Jay simply flipped the part hiding them down and confirmed his suspicion:

The two mounds were well shaped, about medium sized and quite firm. A small surprise were those heart shaped areolas framing the erect and very sensitive tips. After testing them for a bit, Jay resumed with what he had initially planned and swung his hips.

From there it didn't take him too long until he noticed pressure building up in him while he kept plowing her and fumbling the moaning succubus nice chest.

When he reached his maximum a few hard and deep strokes later, Jay pumped her full to the brim. With (Geyser) active, the demon's eyes shot wide open at his first shot and by the time he was done, she got tipped over as well and once more climaxed hard.

Glad she didn't reply to this in kind and squirt all over him like to her Summoner before, Jay finally pulled out and got to the questions part of the interrogation.

First of all he asked the women for her name to which she smirked comically and answered that humans couldn't pronounce it anyways.

She got completely befuddled the next second when Jay commented "I had asked in Demon-tongue, Dumbass!" in just the same Nat'rehzan language she spoke.

While it sounded quite similar to Ered'un to him first, it was a completely different language he had just learned.

That was only true for talking though as he still couldn't read her name when he analyzed her again...

"I-It's Crzall'a…" C.

After she understood what Jay had just said, the Succubus told him her name that spoken out aloud really sounded screechy and unpleasant.

Not that it mattered to Jay as she was most certainly going to vanish in their very soon future. Also not minding that, Jay continued to question her while hinting over to the tied up Morganth.

"So, happy with that guy over there as your contractor?" J.

"That bastard? You're joking? The dickless guy never even touched me… ME, a Succubus!" C.

"Ain't just that the reason? I mean, didn't you try to drain me as well?" J.

"Urgh… well, yes… But still: We do need to feed on something! Though my race prefers males of the races, I am starving enough so I would have fed on anything…" C.

"Did he keep you summoned without leaving the tower once?" J.

"Tch, that lowlife only send his green little girl to do his work. But yes, ever since we formed a contract I was set to guard him." C.

"What's going to happen with you when he dies?" J.

"I'll get send back to my original plane, same as when I die in this one. After roaming it for a while I'd be freed from my contract…" C.

"Your original plane?" J.

"I guess in your words is another dimension, one we get summoned from or returned to. Imagine a place that is cut off from anything around it but filled with chaotic energy. While it isn't exactly a nice place and has quite the hard regime, we get nourished and rid of the concept of time…

Well, I'll probably be the laughing stock there for loosing my contract, but that's still better than never having had one or remaining in this world any longer!" C.

While at first not really getting what she had been blabbering about, Jay learned that they came from another dimension. To his question if he could go there as well, Crzall'a started to laugh and asked what he even wanted there.

While his energy felt somehow similar, she wasn't sure if any human could survive there, if at all cross over. Either way she continued that as she knew his energies signature, he could probably try to summon her as his own. With an alluring smile she commented that she would be happy serving a strong master like him.

"In that case, inform your superiors over there that given the chance I'm really going to summon one of your kind, I want them to send me a really strong and more important fresh partner!" J.

The second he finished his very dry answer, Jay fired a previously chanted arcane missile from practically no distance right to her head. Turning into mist the body vanished into thin air just like the succubus' head before...

Glad he hadn't gone to overboard and destroyed the wall behind the demon, Jay turned around and walked over to Morganth. The interrogation for him was still pending, though Jay had quite a lot to ask him about. Not sure if he'd get even a single answer out of the Conjurer, he knelt next to the tied up man and started with the first question.

To Jay's surprise Morganth was quite willing to talk:

He had been installed there by his leaders quite some time back for his great successes in his enchanting experiments. But for the question about those backers, Jay got no answers. Even as he used a bit of force and bent two of Morganth's fingers in a funny angle didn't he reveal anything.

After checking him for any curses or the likes that possibly disabled Morganth from disclosing knowledge about them, Jay learned it was simply pure fear that made the Conjurer keep his mouth shut.

But Jay had some leeway in this case…

About fifteen minutes later Jay first of all looked for some cloth or towels he could use to clean his bloodied hands a bit. It would be quite problematic if he stained the papers he was going to read through and possibly make something in them illegible.

In the end he had to use one of the robes he had found on his adventures and were still in his inventory. But thanks to [Service] that had back then been enhanced by a special cleaning skill and since then helped Jay in cleaning himself or other people, he managed to get most of the blood off.

His strenuous work had paid off though!

Jay had managed to learn that Morganth had been just another chess piece like he had already anticipated. The Conjurer had received his orders from a "Master" in Silverpine Forest, a location that rang a bell to Jay as the totems wood was the same. But however cruel Jay got, it seemed Morganth really had no name for him to reveal.

Like this he had changed his question and inquired if it had been him to craft those totems and what for. Morganth first lost another finger and one kneecap for laughing before he let slip that it had been an experiment from his backers. Curious about it after he also learned those cursed items really got crafted by Morganth, Jay continued to find out what they had expected from it.

The Conjurer himself had only been told it was to deplete the military forces of Arathor and bring trouble to the Citizens. From what he had heard it was in accordance to another party that seemed to work together with his masters.

As Jay from there on got no further information about who else took part in this conspiracy or where those masters went, Jay freed Morganth from his pain once and for all. He still stored his head as proof but left the bloody leftovers on the floor. That scum should get devoured by those filthy Gnolls he had kept for his own safety…

With at least half clean hands, Jay then kept searching through the documents for a while. His hopes for finding a specific name in them was pretty low, but then he came across a letter that held some orders.

Morganth was to send back reports with his first test results, hinting Jay he had been right with his assumption. What the Conjurer had said about the reason had only been some halfhearted excuse.

Had there been no other reason for those totems, nobody would have needed reports about them. The finely written letter had been signed by a Lord K.

Jay also found a still unsent reply on the desk, though it seemed that some other reports had already been given. At least it revealed that this dark Syndicate Jay was tracking was somehow connected to those who conspired against Arathor.

While he had no idea if anything that kept going on in the Kingdom was connected, it was still way too much. First there was someone in the Royal Court aiming to weaken the current leaders, second those who kept slave trafficking and now he also learned there was another Lord that caused trouble with those totems.

Jay dearly needed to talk with Haggard and Mia about this, if possible also Alexis and then eventually inform the two Military leaders he knew. If those things really were connected, there had to be someone really powerful and influential instilling them.

But them not being connected would be too much of a coincidence...

After storing everything on the desk in his inventory, Jay took a look at the shelves and all over the room. What got his attention first was a small altar-like table next to Morganth's working area. Jay analyzed it as an alchemy set and guessed it as a really good one, judging by it's size and materials.

With quite some gains already, Jay continued his search and found some interesting books, a pouch holding abundant amounts of soul-stones and a few coins. There even had been some magic scrolls in between, but nothing he hadn't already in his skill list.

Done with the room, Jay was about to call Sira up when his eyes fell on the steep ladder leading up to the side of the room. As nearly half of the ceiling was open until the roof, Jay had expected it to be some attic, but learned it had been the Conjurers resting place.

With some normal and two slightly fancy robes more in his inventory, as well as some additional items, Jay went down again.

The moment he called out for Sira a small, green and pretty head peeked up from the stairs.

"Took you long enough…" S.

Jay only grinned to his slaves feisty comment and asked her if everything was okay. She simply stated that other than her seeing an orc blush thanks to him, nothing happened at all.

The Succubus' moaning seemed to have echoed further than Jay had hoped.

As Sira had thrown a look over at her previous masters' corpse and Jay saw it, she only commented that it had been inevitable at some point and the bastard deserved it. On their way down to the storage area Jay asked if she would have wanted to kill him herself, but aside from being too weak she explained that it felt better the way it was.

In the by them mostly empty storage, Jay only had to take care of two crates that Sira couldn't move herself. He simply stored them in his inventory, earning him round eyes again as it had been spatial storage-chests she found and packed in whatever she could.

When Sira was about to give Jay the magic bag back as well he asked her what she stored inside. To that she began her narration of silver plates, mugs, some ores… Jay stopped her and made it short. Asking if it was all good sell-able rubbish he got it confirmed and like this gifted the pouch with all inside to her.

Like a little girl Sira rushed over to Khazun the moment they reached the last stairs and told what their master had gifted her. The orc, still looking a bit flushed, had still been guarding the closed door to the tower from the entrance hall, just like Jay had tasked her to. She couldn't help but smile at seeing Sira's behavior and him coming back healthy.

They gave her a small narration of what they found and together they walked over to the entrance. Khazun took the lead and Sira following after Jay as they walked out. Suddenly Khazun jumped back onto Jay, tackling him down and even Sira together with them.

It took him just some milliseconds to understand she had tried to cover them from some attack that had been incoming!

Looking around the broad green shoulders covering his view, Jay found the culprit behind the attack further in the back.

He without wait tried to retaliate. After raising his left arm and firing an arcane missile from his quick buttons, he shoved Khazun to the side and got to his feet. Already dashing towards the aggressor, Jay unsheathed his sword while firing a fireball, followed by a scorch when he got close enough.

The hooded female that had attacked kept throwing small knives at Jay, but since he was aware of them he had no trouble dodging them. She kept jumping backwards, trying to keep some distance and surprised him with her agility.

But against a boosted Jay with corresponding skills, there was no way he couldn't get close to her!

Once within reach he directly went in with a slash and didn't hold back anything. That was too much even for the extremely agile woman whose face Jay still hadn't seen and she got a not too shallow cut diagonally over her stomach.

A pained yowl resounded from her as she jumped back, but Jay was already jumping after her. Deflecting another small knife she had thrown, he fired off an (Arcane Blast) at close distance, resulting in her getting blown back and her hood coming off…

The face that got visible at that moment was one he had already seen:

It was the beautiful redhead Jay had seen stalking him back in Stillwater and his system displayed her name Xayah from this moment on as well. Contrary to how the Level 30 beauty looked back then, the dark red haired women had two long furry ears peeking out of her hair and her race got displayed as Foxkin.

But Jay had no time to leisurely watch her as she fulfilled a perfect backflip midair and softly landed on her feet. The wound on her toned belly took it's toll though as the moment she landed, Xayah flinched and slightly tilted to the side. Using this moment, Jay fired off a lightning bolt that she couldn't dodge and took a large chunk of her health.

Not thinking about it twice she turned tail at that point and dashed away with an unexpected speed.

Just a Jay was about to follow her, he still had high hopes to at least be able to keep up with her, he heard a loud cry from behind him.

"Nooooo!"

Turning around he saw it had come from Sira who was cowering over the still unconscious Khazun on the stairs back at the tower. As Jay looked the other way again, Xayah had already vanished from sight and was probably out of reach.

Hurrying back to see what made Sira yell, Jay got shocked himself:

As he looked at the tall orc woman, Khazun got displayed as deceased.

Checking on her as it was hard to believe the sturdy green-skin could have died to a simple throwing knife, he learned it hadn't been such a simple one. The weapon had been coated in a deadly poison, just like the ones Xayah had thrown onto him.

It took him a moment to suppress his welling up rage and grief, then he turned to Sira and tried to console her. Once she calmed down a couple of minutes later, the two of them first covered Khazuns face and then dug a grave for her right next to the tower.

While it only had been a short while, Jay had really come to like the straightforward woman. Even Sira had befriended her pretty fast and the two of them had gotten close. After giving her a proper burial and remaining silent for a while, Jay asked Sira to come close and then opened a Portal to Gold Creek.

"Use your ring please. Once we pass through the portal, I want you to travel to Arathor. Deliver this Letter to Shalina Ravencrest at the AI:7. It should enable you to lodge in my room there and once I get to Arathor, possibly offer a trainee spot there as well..." J.

" Yes -hic- ...T-thank you, Master!" S.

Donning her the letter he had written the night before, they stepped into the portal that showed the crossroad at Gold Creek. After the same feeling like passing through liquid like always, Jay and Sira set their feet onto the road at their destination.
