Sun points

Kadori was asked to return to the room after the tour was over. Upon returning, he utilized the opportunity by running to the room, completing his last daily quest.

TING

[-RUN 10KM: COMPLETED 10/10]

[REWARD: 1 STAT POINT + 1 EXTRA POINT]

Kadori entered his room and almost collapsed on the floor.

"Pant... pant... pant..."

Running in such hot temperatures made Kadori get tired easily. Yukiko informed him that during the two days of double sun, each citizen on Edom planet wore a special type of cloth.

A cloth that prevented the sun from making a person feel hot or sweat buckets. It was the only reason why Yukiko felt like the sun wasn't affecting her at all.

Because it wasn't.Kadori took off his cloth and sat on his bed to learn more about the system.

Examining the holographic screen, Kadori could see the changes between now and the last time he checked.

The first change was his strength. Earlier, he only had 5 points in strength.

But after completing the daily task which rewarded him 5 points, he placed everything on strength, knowing it was the most important one on the list.

And secondly was his...

'I could have sworn the SP was on 10 earlier. How come is it on 100 now?'

Kadori didn't quite understand how he gained 90 new SP. He had no idea what SP meant in the first place, how then was he able to increase it?

'Was it as a result of the tour?' Kadori pondered, but quickly realized nothing special happened during the tour that could have increased the SP.

Glancing at the holographic screen, Kadori noticed a mailbox icon below the screen with several unread messages.

He never had the chance to study the system well before Santino walked in with Yukiko, so he didn't notice the mail.

'Several unread messages, eh?' Kadori mused, mentally opening the mail.

[REACH LEVEL 3 TO UNLOCK SHOP]

[RABID CLAW ENERGY ZEN HAS BEEN ADDED TO YOUR ARSENAL]

[YOUR SUN POINT IS NOW MAXED]

[REACH LEVEL TWO TO UNLOCK NEW SKILLS]

Kadori read through the messages, a confused expression etched on his face.

'What does it mean by I got a rabid claw energy Zen in my arsenal?' Kadori mused.

He could remember clearly that Yukiko said the only way to get a beast Energy Zen was by killing the beast.

But Kadori couldn't remember killing any beasts recently.

'Wait. Did I kill that beast I encountered back on the island?'

All Kadori remembered about that day was him chucking his blade towards the beast's head, and then he blacked out.

He wasn't quite sure if he missed or hit the target.

'Maybe I did kill it,' Kadori mused, shifting his gaze to the other notifications.

'Sun point?' Kadori rubbed his chin, contemplating what it meant by sun point.

'By any chance did sun point also mean SP?'

If sun point did indeed mean SP, then the whole thing would make sense now.Yukiko did mention something about the double sun charging most beast Energy Zens.

Maybe the case was similar to Kadori's. The sun charged his SP until it was maxed.

'No wonder why I felt extremely sluggish while I was under the sun.' Kadori pondered.

Getting his SP charged by the sun served as a big advantage for Kadori. It meant he would be at his peak and would be able to use his full strength as long as the sun was shining brightly.

The only disadvantage was the 3 days of total darkness. What if he already exhausted his SP and he had to face a high-ranked beast? How was he going to cope?

'I guess I'll need to get one of those Evo weapons Yukiko told me about.' Kadori mused, dismissing the mail panel and mentally accessing the arsenal.

When he did, a holographic object that looked like a huge box appeared out of thin air.

Glancing into the box, Kadori could only see a single glowing round object sitting alone. He quickly assumed it was the energy Zen of the rabid claws.

Kadori picked up the energy Zen to take a closer look. When Kadori's hand touched the energy Zen, a window screen popped up right above it.

[TYPE OF ZEN: RABID CLAW]

[RANK: MASTERS]

Kadori glanced at the information provided by the system with a look of content. Masters was also a high rank when it came to ranking.

And based on Yukiko's explanation, the higher the rank of the energy Zen, the higher the Evo weapon.

The idea of turning the Zen into an Evo weapon struck Kadori's mind. If he did turn it into a weapon, it would be a Masters ranked weapon.

He concluded that while he was still only level one and also a Bronze rank, the best option to help him level up quickly was using a higher ranked weapon.

If he were to turn the energy Zen into a sword, it would help increase his strength during battle and also help him defeat beasts of the same rank easily.

But if he were to face higher ranked beasts, then even his Evo weapon wouldn't help him.

'All I need to do now is find out how to turn this into a weapon,' Kadori said internally, glancing at the glowing orb with a smirk.

Inside a dimly lit room, a middle-aged man could be seen punching nonstop at the punching bag.

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

"Something bothering you, Santino?" A man's voice sounded as he walked into the dimly lit room.

Santino paused his punching and turned to face the man.

"Nothing, really," Santino replied, resuming his punching.

"I could tell something is bothering you." The man uttered, moving closer to Santino.

Santino paused his exercise once more and shifted his gaze to the strange man, "It's about the boy we found earlier."

"What about him?" The strange man asked.

"I fear he might be a Harbinger of Souls since he isn't an Enhanced," Santino replied.
