4 Chapter 4

Few weeks have passed since Xander gave his lunch to Koneko, instead of stopping her advances, she started to became aggressive and keep on asking for his food, for the first few days he just ignored her thinking that she would give up later. The result? She started watching him again, even at his house she kept her eyes on him, so Xander can only acknowledge her existence, its not like she's threatening him or something, and she's cute too, having a friend like her is a plus point on Xander's dictionary.

Xander and Koneko became friends, he treated her like a younger sister which Koneko accepted, since she can feel that he doesn't have any disgusting intentions to her.

It became a habit for Xander to make 3 bento box every, 1 for him and the other 2 for Koneko, he sometimes wonder where all the food goes when her figure didn't really change and no nutritions have been delivered to the chest. Of course he didn't say that, 'Intuition skill is really handy' Xander thought as he started going to the rooftop to meet Koneko.

When Xander opened the door of his classroom, he was stopped by a young, beautiful girl with white haired and blue-green eyes. She was Hanakai Momo a member of student council and one of Sona Sitri's Bishop.

"Excuse me, you're Xander Ranvil right? Are you free? Can I ask you to come with me to the Student Council room? The President wanted to meet you so she sent me here to ask you" Momo politely asked Xander, hoping that Xander would accept, she heard that Xander was really willful, he just do whatever goes in his mind, he might reject her because of his mood.

"If I remember correctly, the Student Council President was that beautiful girl in a bob cut with a glasses right? Then, I guess I'll go, its not everyday that a person can experience being invited by a beautiful girl to chat" Xander accepted her invitation with a smile. Momo sighed in relief as he accepted her invitation without causing trouble, she started to lead him to the place where he just silently followed.

They arrived arrived at the room, Momo was about to knock when the door suddenly opened, revealing Tsubaki waiting for both of them. She lead Xander to a chair infront of Sona, and brewed him a tea, she placed the tea infront of her as she walked to the side of Sona. "So, uh, what am I doing here?" Xander broke the silence as he asked a normal question. "...Ranvil-kun, do know how to play chess?" Sona asked a strange random question. "Chess? you should stop Kaichou, I'm quite merciless when it comes to chess" Xander replied while showing a serious eyes. "I see, let's play" said Sona ignoring Xander's warning, and ordered Tsubaki to get the chess board.

Sona started preparing the chess board while Xander watched with interest. The moment Xander touched the chess piece, ['Chess' skill acquired!], he raised it to level 7, knowing Sona's strength in chess, they immediately started playing after preparing.

Sona started with E4, "So, what do you really want, Kaichou?" asked Xander while doing E5. "Ranvil-kun do you believe in devils stuff?" asked Sona while placing Knight to F3, trying to attack his pawn. "Devils? I stopped trying to believe in that while I was still in middle school" Xander lied without shame as he defended it with Knight C6. "What if they really exist?" Sona insisted while placing Bishop to C4, the most popular move. "If they did, that would be interesting, I would love to meet them" replied while he played the tricky knight D4.

"You're interested? Not scared?" Sona was lightly surprised by his answer as she took his pawn from E5. "Yeah, because what I imagined for Devils are different from normal, instead of disgusting, ugly creatures, I imagined Devils as beautiful girls" explained Xander as he placed his Queen to G5. "You got quite an interesting mind there" complimented Sona while eating his pawn at F7 and attacking his Queen. "I was surprised when I first saw Kaichou in the entrance ceremony, because you were what I imagined a Devil would be, smart and beautiful" Xander said with a teasing grin while he played Queen to G2 eating her pawn.

Sona was amazed by his ability, she can see that he's not just putting pieces everywhere like an amateur and was really playing seriously. "Well, what a coincidence, because..." Sona stopped and placed her rook on F1. "Devils" Sona proclaimed with a mysterious smile making Xander looked up from the table, he got 'surprised' by what he saw, bat wings emerged from every member of Student Council.

"Hooh!! This is cool! Are you really Devils!?" Xander stood up from his seat and started inspecting the the wings from their back with excitement. Sona was about to explain when Xander suddenly touched her wings and it started to grow big until it occupies the whole room itself. "Hum! You just need a few more wings so you can really be called Lucifer itself" Xander nodded his head as if proud of his work.

"You can use magic!?" Everyone got alerted by what they saw as they prepared themselves incase a battle occur. "Eh? I haven't mentioned it? Ah sorry, sorry, I got too excited upon seeing a Devil that I forgot" Xander said while rubbing the side of his head. "Got excited..? You know magic but you don't about the supernatural side!?" They were shocked by what they heard. "I didn't know there was something like that, I recently just got my magic 2 weeks ago" a explanation that makes sense finally appeared as they lower their guard. "I remember hearing that you got perfect scores on all of the test, did your magic grant you a smarter brain? or did it gave you knowledge?" Sona asked upon remembering the commotion that made their head ache at that time.

"Huh? Ah, that wasn't any kind of magic, I could've done that in the first week of the school, but I was scared that something might happen because of jealousy, imagine a handsome boy, who can cook and perfect the test, who wouldn't want to beat that? Xander's words made them baffled, cause him saying that means he's natural, though they ignored everything else. His talent is natural not gained by any magic. "Oh, now that we know each other's secret, let's become friends guys!" Xander asked them with a wide smile on his face, they accepted his request because they can ask for his help when they needed it.

"Oh right, I need to look for that cat right now, she might go wild without her food. Goodbye Kaichou, I'll cook you some food next time!" Sona couldn't help but sigh looking at his carefree attitude, watching their new friend leave while waving his hands to them made their heart warm. "By the way Kaichou, you're more beautiful if you smile you know" Xander's words made Sona embarrassed as she tried to keep her calm. Xander went to Tsubaki and whisper to her ears "Tsubaki-san can you continue my game? Just place my Queen at E4 and after she places her bishop on E2, put my knight on F3, thank you!" Tsubaki just nodded her head.

Xander went out of the room and sighed in relief. 'Sigh, that was hard, thank god I made my backstory already or that would've put me in difficult spot, 'Intuition' also played a lot there, it helped me when I was about to step on a landmine' Xander thought while patting his chest.
