Chapter 13: Those Harboring Evil Intentions

The map was divided into six colors: white, green, orange, red, dark purple, and black.

These colors represented the city area, F-level beast zones, E-level beast zones, D-level beast zones, and C-level beast zones respectively.

The strength of the beasts corresponded to the ranks of warriors.

F-level beasts, equivalent to the Body Tempering stage, were numerous and hard to eradicate.

E-level beasts, comparable to the warrior stage, were also plentiful.

Above them were D-level beasts, akin to martial masters, and C-level beasts, comparable to martial generals.

It was said that a B-level beast had once appeared in the Hongfeng City outpost, nearly destroying the entire base.

As for A-level beasts, they had never appeared in the Hongfeng City outpost. If such powerful beasts were to appear, it would spell disaster for the city and its people!

Legends spoke of S-level beasts above A-level, capable of world-shattering destruction, though no one had ever seen one.

Additionally, beasts generally stayed within their respective zones, but it was not uncommon for high-level beasts to enter lower-level areas.

Many had met their demise encountering high-level beasts in low-level areas.

In the map, the entire Hongfeng City outpost was marked as a white area.

Outside the city, a large ring of green surrounded the walls, divided into various irregular sections.

These green areas were relatively safe F-level zones, with the Wind Wolf Zone among them.

"Found you!"

Su Lang's eyes narrowed, a hint of killing intent flashing in them.

"Smack!"

Suddenly, someone lightly patted his shoulder.

"Who?!"

Su Lang turned, his gaze sharp as a knife, locking onto the person—

—a middle-aged man with a stubbly beard, at the intermediate Body Tempering stage.

"Don't be alarmed! Haha, I'm Tan Zicheng."

Tan Zicheng greeted with a smile, "I saw you studying the map. Are you planning to hunt outside the city?"

"What's it to you?"

Su Lang asked indifferently.

"You're really going hunting? It's not just dangerous out there, but also troublesome."

Tan Zicheng chuckled, "I specialize in guiding, assisting, carrying loads, and running errands for a living. Do you need my services?"

"How much?"

Su Lang glanced at Tan Zicheng and smiled slightly.

"Only 50 silver coins!"

Tan Zicheng immediately replied, "You don't need to worry about anything except fighting. If you need me to fight, though, it'll cost extra."

"I happen to need a guide."

Su Lang nodded, "Follow me. We'll leave after eating."

He then headed to a nearby restaurant, with Tan Zicheng following closely behind.

The restaurant offered a variety of dishes, including those made from beast meat and even some with spiritual energy-infused vegetables.

Su Lang ordered a large table of food, costing 10 silver coins.

"This is really sumptuous!"

Tan Zicheng exclaimed, "I've never eaten such a feast. Thank you so much."

"Eat up."

Su Lang smiled faintly.

After a hearty meal, Su Lang and Tan Zicheng returned to the city hall.

Moments later, they passed through a narrow passageway and emerged outside the wall.

"This is the world outside the city!"

Before Su Lang lay endless hills, with a foreboding primeval forest at the horizon where the sky met the earth.

Further in the distance were towering peaks, like giant guardians piercing the clouds, majestic and imposing.

"Let's go to the F-level Wind Wolf Zone."

Su Lang handed his backpack to Tan Zicheng, keeping only his black long knife.

"The F-level Wind Wolf Zone? That's the territory of the Broken Axe Hunting Group."

Tan Zicheng's expression changed slightly as he subtly observed Su Lang's earlobe.

Su Lang smiled faintly, "I heard they are very domineering. I just want to take a look, not cause trouble."

"That's good, that's good! I'll lead the way!"

Tan Zicheng's expression relaxed into a smile, "You've come to the right person. I know a shortcut to the Wind Wolf Zone. It only takes four hours to get there."

With that, Tan Zicheng took the lead.

The road outside the city was treacherous, full of pits and slopes, with occasional white skeletal remains of beasts.

About halfway through, in a gloomy forest, Tan Zicheng suddenly stopped.
