My name is Jeremy and I have now decided to write a journal for my sleep paralysis and dreams.

The time is 2:44 am, and I just awoke from my sleep paralysis while dreaming of killer mermaids dragging me deep into the waters of a canal.

There were three to four humanoid fish people who looked like a mermaid seen in a fairytale we tell the children. They have blue-greenish colored skin or scales, and have freakishly long arms and fingers with fins extending from the side of the wrist all the way to the side of their ribs.

They grab the back of my shorts while I am swimming out of a river cave. I caught a glimpse of them and saw them smirking and laughing as if they were playing a game with me. Looking closely while underwater, they have deep black eyes and fin-like ears.

I woke up with a chill in my spine as I remembered my dream. I can still feel their hands as they drag the back of my shorts forcefully as I reach out for help.

Good thing I woke up and it was just a dream. I jumped out of bed and washed my face and drank lots of water as I remembered my nightmare.

Whenever I get out of this experience, my mouth feels so dry, like I'm being pushed into a pile of dust. Experiencing these phenomena has become a regular occurrence.

The majority of the time, I have vague and blurry dreams. However, I always feel as if someone or something is trying to grab me when I have sleep paralysis.

After a hard day, I remember the time I was in the same state when a tall white-faced man in a suit suddenly approached me.

He does not have eyes, mouth, ears, or a nose, nor does he have wrinkles on his face. It feels like he is wearing a white mask made of flesh. He is on his knees because, when he stands up, his back is against the ceiling.

As I stare straight at him where his eyes should be, wondering what he is about to do next. I am unable to look away, nor can I close my eyes, as it seems I am trapped in his spell and cannot escape. He seems to be asking me to look at him, as if he wants to tell me something.

The slender man stared at me for dozens of seconds while I couldn't move my helpless body. He did not touch me nor make a sound as he hovered his body over me. Eventually, he walked away, leaving me confused because it felt so real even when I woke up.

Well, that was the most trauma inducing thing I have recalled so far as I can remember while in my paralysis state.

I believe that I am having this experience because of stress and lack of sleep. Surely, I just need to sleep properly and relax a bit before sleeping so I will not face this dire chain of nightmares again.

Or so I thought...
