1 Chapter 1

The gates open around me, and I'm lead in by tow guards flanking both my front and rear. The palace is beautiful, with golden leaves sprung everywhere! They twist down the sky blue pillars and disappear before they reach the marble floor. The ceiling is spotted with dancers, some with partners and some on their own. They wear masks and glamorous dresses, ranging from prairie green to eccentric yellow.

"Presenting, his Royal Highness, Prince Davon." My Gaze snaps to the man In front of me. His grim face does nothing to welcome me, and he looks troubled to be here. Reluctantly though, I bow.

"Your Highness, I am PrincessAlexia of the kingdom Sancosta I am he-"

"I know exactly what you are here for." He booms, glaring at me. "Show her to her room."

I try to object, but the guards nudge me away. I obediently go with them, questioning my decision.
