Entering in the Multiverse 1 (Revised)

An important notice, I completely revised the first chapter, I'm posting it in the extra volume, so you can compare if the grammar is better compared to chapter 1.

Jack opened his eyes and remained still in a state of shock for a while, then he realized he was sweating profusely all over his body and remembered that he had had a nightmare that he had just died.

Jack was having coffee at Starbucks and looking at his phone when suddenly a truck crashed into the Starbucks building and ran over him. Jack could still feel the pain of being crushed before he woke up.

Jack woke up and was immediately confused, thinking it had all been a nightmare, but he soon realized that something was wrong. He was on the same street where he had the accident, but everything was different in the street he was used to.

The buildings were older, the streets were not the same, the Starbucks where he was having coffee had disappeared, and Jack didn't recognize most of the shops on this street. Putting his hands in his pockets, Jack couldn't find his phone or his house keys.

But he found a wallet he had never seen before. When he opened the wallet, he realized that the name on the ID was still Jack Shaw, and the photo on the ID was also the same, but everything else was different.

As Jack was an orphan who grew up in an orphanage, he had only chosen his mother's surname and the name she had given him to create his ID.

But now the ID was different, his year of birth was different, even the dollars he had in the wallet were different, and his credit and debit cards had disappeared.

Jack thought someone had stolen from him and put this wallet in his pocket, but soon thought it was impossible because no thief would take the time to create another ID and leave the money inside for him.

Looking at the different documents and old buildings around, Jack began to have the strange and crazy feeling that he could have gone back in time, in some time that he did not know.

Jack thought that despite a crazy idea, this could happen, after all the documents and the old buildings around were proof, and he thought he might have gone back in time after being killed by the truck at Starbucks.

"What is going on here, this is madness!" Jack said still scared.

Jack decides to walk a little down the street and soon finds a newsstand selling newspapers. He approaches the newsstand thinking about looking to find out if he really had gone back in time, but becomes even more scared by what he saw.

In the newspaper, Jack finds a picture of someone who should never exist in a newspaper, but rather in one of the magazines he normally reads, it was a picture of Spider-Man fighting a Green Goblin.

Jack ran and picked up the newspaper and saw that the news showed that crimes were increasing in New York and that this could also happen in Boston, where Jack lived.

Jack was scared for a while and then looked at the date to realize, shocked, that it showed they were in March of the year 2001. Jack was scared because this year was even before he was born, so he shouldn't even be considered going back in time.

Jack lived in the year 2030 and had just turned 18, so he couldn't go back 29 years in time. Jack paid for the newspaper, still dazed, and sat on a bench nearby, still looking at the newspaper.

He looked at the entire newspaper and realized for sure that he was indeed in the year 2001, but he was more shocked looking at the image of Spider-Man fighting than at the year he was in.

Jack took his wallet again, which had 200 old dollars, and took out his ID card. On the ID card, it said that he was 18 years old and that his name was Jack Shaw, the same name and age he had in 2030.

Jack thought for a moment and soon came up with a strange possibility, as someone who always enjoyed reading novels, comics, and manga, he thought that since he couldn't have gone back in time, he had actually gone to another world.

And the world he should have gone to was a world within the Marvel universe, after all, he was looking at a photo of Spider-Man facing off against the Green Goblin.

Thinking about this, Jack was both excited and scared, as a fan of the Marvel universe, Jack had dreamed a few times of how great it would be if superheroes really existed, and he had also dreamed of becoming a superhero himself.

He didn't mind going back in time or going to another world, after all, he was an orphan and had no family, girlfriend, or close friends that he could miss from his previous life.

But Jack was also scared, thinking about what kind of place the Marvel universe was. There were hundreds of villains and gods who could kill him instantly if they accidentally attacked him.

Jack began to wonder if he was right in thinking that this was the Marvel universe, as he had read in stories that many times a person gained special benefits by going to another world.

Just as Jack thought about it, a light began to shine around him, causing several people walking on the street to look at him. Jack was frightened by the light and ran until he reached an alley near the street.

Ding..

A strange sound appeared in Jack's head.

[System loading...10%...50%...100%, system loaded.]

[Hello Jack, welcome to the Marvel universe, I'm sorry that I had to kill you like this, but it was the easiest way to bring you here.]

Jack was startled by the imposing voice he heard in his head as soon as the system load. He was also frightened to hear the indifferent voice saying that he had killed him only because it was the easiest way.

[I understand that you may be upset about this, but the benefits you can have in this universe far outweigh the loss of your dying in your previous world.]

[We had to bring someone to this world, and you were chosen as the ideal person for it. As you didn't have any family or strong attachment to your old world, we thought you would adapt quickly to this universe.]

Jack was still irritated by the person's hypocrisy in talking to him. After all, they killed him because they needed to, and now they acted as if they had done him a favor.
