11 THE LEGACY

Hey, hey, hey, what is this old man saying now? Did he say my lineage? Is this body a descendant of Masashi? If so, this means that I am from the royal family, but how, how?'

'But this is not possible. There are no memories from this body that show that he is from the royal family. All I know is a weak father and a dead mother. If what is happening here is one of the world's turmoil, then this is bad.'

While Leon was deep in thought trying to figure out what was happening, Masashi was looking at Leon with a mixture of amusement and anticipation, and after he had had enough of his lost lineage in his thoughts, he decided to speak.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha why that face, boy. Don't tell me that what I heard just now has shocked you. You probably think you are a member of the royal family. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha."

All Leon did was blink twice, wondering how in the world he had discovered what this old man was thinking, and wondering if Masashi had an ability, not mentioned in the novel, the ability to read minds.

"Don't look at me with those eyes, boy. No, I don't have the ability to read minds, but it's not easy to hide your thoughts from this old man. Plus, your face is very easy to read."

A drop of sweat appeared on Leon's forehead as he looked at the bragging old man in front of him, but at the same time Leon did not lower his temper even once. He was not that stupid.

He actually read some excerpts, or one could say five lines, from the original writer of the novel about Masashi, when he explained Ryoushi's art, and there were some things that Leon remembered well.

Masashi is a man of honor and pride who likes to joke around and is not serious and kind. But how could a man like this lead the human realm? It was so simple, this man could turn over like the sea

How could Leon forget this? Sometimes he was calm and pleasant, and sometimes he turned into a cold man. The important thing for him was to implement his planned goals, so he eliminated the traitors and restored the human field to its current strength.

Therefore, Leon did not dare to neglect, just a simple mistake would mean death, even though the man looked like a ghost, but the man in his time was strong, and the strong always had plans to preserve their legacy.

Leon took a deep breath and began to speak, and this required great courage from him. "If I am not from the royal family and I am your descendant, as you said, then how are we related? Your grandchildren are the royal family. Please explain to me what you mean."

All Masashi did was smile and said, "Oh, you're asking a smart question. The answer to your question is related to why I'm here, but tell me first. I didn't say you're not from the royal family. How did you discover that?"

Leon said with some arrogance, "When I was absent-mindedly thinking that I was from the royal family, you said yourself that I thought I was from the royal family, and this only shows that I am not like that."

"Ha ha ha ha ha, true, true, boy, what you say is correct. You are not exactly from the royal family, as I discovered, even though you are from my lineage, my son. But do you know exactly why this is?"

"Isn't that what you're going to answer me since you've appeared to me, Mr. Masashi?" Leon said, looking at the fiery purple eyes Masashi, who looked at him with nothing but absolute amusement.

"Let me here, my son, ask you an important question. What is the strange thing that you notice at this moment that seems out of place?" Masashi said as he looked at the ceiling of the cave, waiting for the answer.

While Masashi was staring at the ceiling, Leon was frowning in his place as he thought deeply about Masashi's words, something that seemed out of place in all of these things, 'Damn, what is this question?'

'Hey, is this one of those silly tests where an old man gives you a strange and difficult question to get his secret inheritance?' Leon thought grimly. After a few moments, his eyes widened.

'Masashi is the first emperor, the emperor of a large kingdom. He has descendants. He has children and grandchildren. He was supposed to leave his art to them in order for his legacy to continue, but he did not because his art resides inside a cursed cave instead of his palace.'

"Your art is not in the kingdom's treasury. You did not leave your art to your descendants from the royal family, but why do you hide it here in a desolate cave? Isn't it safer to place your art inside the royal palace with your descendants?"

Leon was really confused about this matter. This didn't make any sense. First, he discovered that he was a descendant of the First Emperor. Second, he thought more, and here he was asking why the damned Ryoushi art wasn't in the kingdom's treasury instead of here.

All Ryoshi did was smile at Leon and said, "You are indeed a smart boy. It did not take you much time to discover the answer, but in your opinion, why did I not leave art with my children and grandchildren?"
