47 Half Dao Mark?

Eli Ni is just a mortal, so the amount of benefits I can get from her is limited, my first goal has now been accomplished, so I will just enslave her- that won't work?!

Her luck suddenly spiked the moment I thought of enslaving her and my sagely luck appeared as a grand elder, with a sagely appearance, but he was locked in a coffin-like jail cell.

I can't enslave her, so I will try my best with experimenting on her. Her muscles are disabled and will probably be like that for a day or two, enough for me to refine some Gu, spread my fame a bit more and leave, so she can stay at my place.

The dragon tortoise training thingy sounds interesting and unique, but the Gu world doesn't like martial artists. They might be good for the beginning, but they become extremely useless, without the support of destruction path, sword path or some other extremely powerful damage path it can support.

Her training manual is useless, but hey, learning a technique to hide my muscles sounds useful. I only know how to increase my muscle size, but not density. Density of muscles is a lot more important, than size, as agility is much preferabe to a Gu master and I ain't sacrificing combat potential just to look more intimidating. Chun Jack can also use it

When I become stronger, I'll just experiment on some mortals and figure out cool training techniques for the future generations. Sounds like a fun hobby, but it is useless for me now.

I'll fix up her injured leg and get going. I have orders to take, Gu points to gain and some people to profit off of! Especially the high brass here. They must have some really interesting requests.

- 2 days later.

The clan's politics and scheming families were a bit annoying to deal with

Even though my scheme was quite simple and straightforward, here is the village elder and here is his Immortal Gu worm!

-rank 6 Yes or No Immortal Gu: 175,431

Holy hell is that a lot of Gu points! My total is now 178,045 and... A what now?

-Half Dao: Yes or No.

What's that? okey, let me try yes.

...

Nothing is happening? Okay?.. What about No?

...

Still nothing. What is this 'half Dao' and what does it do? I have a lot of questions, but I have to act my part now, so I'll figure this all out during my cultivation sessions. Hope this old guy didn't notice his Immortal Gu disappearing. If he did, I might be in big trouble. I am not able to hold off an entire rank 5 elder on my own and Chun Jack can barely fight rank 4s, much less a rank 5.

I broke our brief hug after a single second and quickly sped off. Luckily we all managed to clear the Ni clan's territory before they noticed anything or maybe if they notice anything.

Eli Ni is being carried away by Wang Er. She isn't allowed to make any noise and is supposed to just keep limping. I still gotta cultivate on the go, so I am being carried by Chun Jack.

This sounds like I am riding a slave, but he gave his consent! I am not turning my brother into an actual slave. I can maximize my cultivation time by having him help me. If he wasn't loyal or decided to betray me, he would have left long ago. He can fight rank 4 guys, so he isn't to be messed with.

Actually, I have enough Gu points now, can't I just boost my family to the moon? No! I can't do that! They might be my family, but the only person I truly trust is Chun Jack.

I trust my dad and mum, but I can't risk them knowing my deepest secrets. I can't always bring them along, so I can only leave my dad and mum in Shang clan city after we get there and move on with my journey. The same for Wang family. I like them all, but they are too heavy of a burden to carry around.

They also don't have any link to a causality, so I can safely say they won't be in much danger after I leave them. Even considering that, I will still take a single countermeasure. Wang Da.

He might be on the demonic path, but he understands the meaning of family, so I will entrust my own to him. I will make him sign a contract in exchange for a talent Gu. That will give him enough power and reason to protect my family and sign the contract.

That problem is mostly settled and Chun Jack is strong enough for me to safely cultivate during my journey. Maybe if I use a few of my Gu points on him he could guarantee me complete safety, but I need to save up, HARD!

Blooming Flower Immortal Gu costs 486k Gu points, so I am nowhere near to being able to afford it. That is why I need refinement path attainment and strength! If I am strong enough, then I can steamroll the world and get infinite Gu points.

As soon as I get this Gu worm, I will dominate the entire world! No amount of being strong will be able to defeat me! Infinite primeval essence means I will become completely undefeated!

Enough planning for the future, I need to head out to Zhang clan city and return Zhang Bei Yun. Might as well pick up Zhang Xin Ci on my way there too. If my luck is telling me the truth, she should be there when I arrive.

My journey has been quite the smooth sailing. Maybe a bit too smooth? Nah, I am cultivating Luck and Wisdom path, so it is only normal for my journey to be smooth. Luck and Skill means no one cam defeat me, so it is only natural I reign supreme!

Now that I have way over 100k Gu points, I can finally buy my second vital Gu. I have a luck path, with wisdom path effects, now I need to get something from wisdom path, which uses luck. I have multiple options, such as Baseless Deductions gu, Clueless Thoughts Gu, Random Thoughts Gu and about thousands of other options, which all technically do the same, but in different ways.

I choose you, Clueless Sage Gu! TBH this is a subpar option, as Baseless Deductions(my original choice) is a lot more effective than this one, but I looked at its Dao mark and noticed something strange. This Gu can go up to rank 8 and the rank 5 version of it has a very high compatibility with the rank 5 sagely luck Gu.

You might think this isn't strange, but Gu worms of different paths being compatible is infinitely rare. The compatibility between the other ranks is null, nonexistent, but the rank 5s are almost meant for eachother. It is almost as if... someone literally willed this combination into existence and pushed me to use it.

Ya right! I am probably overthinking this whole thing. There should have been another MC type person out there in the world, who used these two go worms in a pinch to refine a rank 6 Gu worm and plot armour his way from death. Sounds more realistic TBH and my instincts are telling me I am mostly right there. With the combination of two rank 4 wisdom-luck gu worms, my instincts are a lot more reliable, than some actual wisdom path Gu master's legit deductions.

Enough about that, imma cultivate for a while and vibe until we can pick up Shang Xin Ci and get my future wifu!

A.N. Gu explanation (Yes or No Gu: You ask heaven questions and it replies with a yes or no. Costs 50 years worth of lifespan.

The juke was, that Kai Nem didn't understand what why Half Dao had the options of Yes or No at first. Basically just bad wordplay on my part.)
