Breakthrough

From the moment that Brandon stepped on the top deck, the daemon stopped following Rachel. Turning slowly, it looked at Brandon with great interest, a mouth forming across its face, a wide smile forming.

Rachel watched as the two faced off. She knew little about licht energy and its many complexities, but what she could tell was that there was something off about Brandon.

Breaking the chains of his nunchunks, Brandon charged at the daemon. The daemon rushed at him as well, drooling with excitement. Sliding between the daemon's legs, Brandon slammed his baton against its ankle, using the second one to slam its arm and then using both of them across it chest. The daemon was almost knocked off the ship.

[Yes]

[Yes]

[YESS]

The daemon rushed again, pulling its arm all the way back and punching Brandon. Brandon formed a shield of blood between them, retracting it and thrusting the baton straight into the daemons face. Jumping in the air, Brandon coated his arm with coagulated blood and punched the daemon downwards, back into the middle deck. Catching the daemons arm, Brandon ripped it off and slamming it into the daemons face over and over again. The daemon caught Brandon's face with its other arm but Brandon kicked the daemon's stomach just before the daemon could burst it. Brandon barely dodged as his face was dripping with blood. Grunting Brandon charged at the daemon, slamming the ground right at its feet, forcing the daemon to dodge. Brandon went in, using his other baton to slam him against the walls of the ship. The daemon fell through and into the sea but jumping right out. But Brandon had prepared for this. With long tendrils of blood connected to the walls of the ship, Brandon catapulted himself out of the ship, kicking the daemon back in the water and backflipped onto the top deck.

"Don't let me get on your bad side." Rachel said. Brandon said nothing. He knew he'd asked for this but his whole body was on fire, rejecting the foreign blood. Hell, he couldn't even nod. Or at least that was what Brandon thought.

In actuality, Alderwolf blood had no blood type. It could be converted to any blood type but that would also mean it would lose it potency. The consequences of mixing two different blood groups was already bad enough, but Alderwolf blood was much worse. The pain coursing through Brandon's body was not his body trying to reject it but Klaus doing the best he could from far away not to make the two bloods mix. Or Brandon would die.

But Brandon was coming to some form of understanding, but his mind couldn't get a grasp of it. He just couldn't put his foot on it. It was so close, so damned close. If only...

"Its coming back!" Rachel warned. But her warning came a little to late as the daemon was already behind her and a part of her side was injured, but that wouldn't have happened had Brandon not pushed her. Brandon charged again, throwing one of the batons at the daemon. Swiftly, Brandon rushed to the daemon, catching the thrown baton and slamming the daemon on the head. Using the other baton, Brandon stuck the daemon in the neck, before following it up with a kick to the face.

The daemon roared, making Brandon stop. Multiple mouths appeared all over the daemon as it began to drool out red liquid from it. The red liquid formed a small pool and slowly began to rise, forming a big ball of water above its head.

"BRANDON ITS A VESTORER!!" Rachel cried, "RUN!"

Somewhere else...

Klaus tried to move the blood in Brandon's body, but for some reason he could not. Had Brandon gone to far? Or was he at his limit? Klaus realized that none of those two reason were the answer. The answer shocked him more than anything else and he couldn't help but grin.

"My oh my." Klaus sighed, deactivating his technique, allowing the blood to escape Brandon's body. "I really owe the kid an apology for underestimating him. Now, I hope its ready, Queens?"

Queens nodded slowly, in kneeling position behind Klaus with two other inquisitors behind him. Klaus approached him and sat down in front of him.

Back on the ship...

Brandon had found the answer to his question. Rather than dodging the blast, he braced himself for the impact, placing the ends of his baton together. He felt the blood of Prime Klaus leave his body. It was good. He needed it gone for what he wanted to try out. Barry O'Neil would always say that he should never try new things in the heat of the moment, especially when fighting daemon, but today, for the sake of killing this daemon, the rules had to leave.

The daemon fired the blast. Brandon closed his eyes as he slowly separated the two batons. The batons slowly turned yellow as a small energy formed between it, slowly expanding into its on separate baton. All three batons were then connected by a chain.

"BRANDON!!!" Rachel cried.

Brandon took the first baton in one hand and, with great skill, blocked and absorbed the vestorer. Spinning round, Brandon took the last baton and performed an upper strike, hitting the daemon with its own vestorer attack.

Brandon's nunchunks had become a three sectioned staff.
