67 Taco Tuesday

Andrea wondered for a moment if it was possible to disconnect her intercom so the doorbell wouldn't work. As tempting as it was to just pretend she was asleep and leave Kyle on the doorstep, she'd already answered. He wouldn't be deterred that easily.

She buzzed him up. She just needed to be firm. Accept the groceries. Ask him to leave. Don't let him cook. No matter how delicious it sounded, she needed to be firm. She didn't have to be mean. Just firm.

Kyle had grocery bags hanging from every finger of both hands and had to turn sideways to get through her door.

"Kyle…" she said resignedly, "What's all this??"

"I only have to make one trip this way," he explained. "Though I'll admit it made the intercom a little tricky."

"No, not—" She sighed and started to help unburden Kyle of the numerous bags. "Why all these groceries, Kyle?"

"I figured I should replace the things I used yesterday. Plus, you were missing some essentials," he said.
