79 Exercise in Futility

Andrea had hoped she would be able to drop Kyle off at the courthouse and finally get some time truely to herself for what felt like days… until Kyle reminded her that his clothes were still in the closet at her place.

Regretting not having made him take all his belongings that morning, Andrea reluctantly let him follow her back to her apartment in his own car. She felt like if she could just keep her wits about her, fend off any attempt he made to stall, and above all, hold firm, this would be the last time Kyle would have an excuse to visit her apartment.

…Uninvited. It would be a different matter if she invited him over. Maybe she'd let him come and cook for her again. Not stay the night of course, just dinner. But not tonight…
