Andrea's keys jangled as they approached her apartment door. It felt so nice to be coming home after such a long day–long weekend– and finally having a chance to stop and breathe, to relax. They'd overcome the first major hurdle, and it felt wonderful. It still felt wonderful, only now–she glanced to the side at a beaming Kyle with his garment bags slung over his shoulder–she had to deal with this.

"Kyle," she said as she inserted the key, "how are you with cats?"

"Cats? No allergies if that's what you mean. Cats love me. Why?"

"No reason."

"...Why?" Kyle was suddenly looking concerned. "You have a cat?"

Andrea took a deep breath and started unlocking the door. "You'll see. It'll probably be fine." Then, because it was important to be honest, she corrected herself. "It might be fine…"
