24 CHAPTER 24

"You want what?"

"Ice cream, Eva"

"I'm in the middle of my work Anna"

"You know I can't go out leaving him alone. He will turn the house upside down.

"Huh! Are you serious right now?"

"Please. Please. Please"

"Okay! Okay fine. I'll be there in 30"

"Wait, Chocolate flavour please"

"Anna you-"

"Oh Eva, I love you. Bye"

Anna hung up letting out a breath of relief and looked down at Raven who was clingy on her waist as he was seated on the chair and she was standing between his legs. He was whining from half an hour for ice cream and almost dragged her out of the house. But she knew she could not take him out, yet. He did not still quite understand how to behave in public, she thought.

The worst she could imagine was, him pulling her onto his lap or kissing her in the ice creams parlour. God, that would be so embarrassing. She tried to get out of his firm hold around her waist but failed miserably and slumped her shoulders, giving up trying.

"My friend will get the ice cream for you, let go now"

She said in a tired tone almost pleading while the green orbs looked up and met her hazel one's again. He was smiling up at her, a smile which reached his eyes, and something caught Anna's attention. He had slight crinkles at the side of his eyes, now that was something she never noticed. Well, mostly she would be caught up in his green sparkling eyes to notice anything outside them.

There was a moment of silence, no one said anything and Anna had given up trying to get out of his grip long back. Their eyes were locked with one another and none of them looked away. Anna was still not sure what she felt for this man but surely he made her feel things she had never experienced in her life before she met him.

Anna was so lost in his eyes that she did not notice his expressions change, the smile had long gone from his lips which were now parted. She did not even see his furrowing eyebrows, not until he pulled her down on his lap. Anna gasped and reflexively circled her arms around his neck to keep her from falling, as if he would let her fall.

"Noona..."

His voice was shaky and deadly low as it sent a wave of chills down her body and made the hair at the nape of her neck stand. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and leaned into her embrace, her arms that were circled around his neck slide down onto his back. At this moment, she felt the need to keep him close, as close as possible. His cheeks were flat on her chest and he pulled her impossibly close.

Anna closed her eyes and let him be. Slight crimson color tinting her cheeks slowly and her fingers folded into a gentle fist. He did not feel intimidating at all instead he was like a lonely kid who lost his only friend and was now looking for them in others. Anna knew what it felt to loose someone you love, after all she had lost two of them, her parents.

After a while when he pulled away, Raven looked up at her. Anna almost felt her heart shatter when she saw his teary eyes, it reflected hurt and sorrow, pain and longing and before she could stop herself, her hands were already caressing his face. She gently stroked his cheeks and down his jaws and saw how his eyes shut close. Like he was waiting for her touch, to know he wasn't alone.

A single drop of tear ran down his cheeks and a frown took over Anna's face. She wiped it off but the pain in his face didn't go unnoticed. Anna felt his pain, the pain of not being able to see someone he loved anymore. She wanted him to know that she was with him, she wanted to tell him that she was right there with him and will always be but no words came out of her lips.

Anna was gazing down at him when his eyes slowly opened, they were red and eyelashes wet with tears. He looked up at her with those glistening eyes and Anna lost herself in them for the moment.

Raven's gaze travelled down to her lips and he licked his own dry ones, his eyes flickered but did not break away from her. He brought her close with his hands that were on her lower back, leaning towards her in the process. His nose brushed against hers and Anna's eyes closed while her lips parted to meet his.

She should push him away, but did she? No. Anna knew that in his mind she was nothing but a shadow of his past. The shadow of his long gone wife and was probably doing everything he wanted to do with her. She could stop him if she wanted to but she couldn't stop herself for wanting to be beside him.

Every wrong thing made sense when 'he' did it. Was it simply because of the way he was or because of the feelings Anna was growing for him? She was yet to find that out.

His lips slightly brushed against her and she gripped his T-shirt in her small fist. She felt it again, the butterflies and her burning cheeks. Their warm breaths mingled together as he finally pressed his lips to her. Her back arched and his hands tightened around her tiny waist. His lips moved in a rhythm, a rhythm she wanted to follow but stayed still and her inner mind came into action.

"Comm'on, kiss him back"

'I don't-'

"Do it God damnit, just do it"

'Fuck it'

She put her arms around his neck and pulled him closer as she began moving her lips against his, following his movements. It felt weird at first but when he smiled against her lips, she knew she was going right. He did not stop but turned them around as Anna's back was pressed to the edge of the table.

A part of his subconscious mind that still had 'her' memories pushed him further. He wanted to feel her again, her touch, her lips, her body which he had missed for the past two years. He had blamed himself ever since he lost her, and now he had her again, or so he thought.

Raven gently pushed Anna over the table until her back was flat on the cold wood and pinned her down with his body between her legs, not at all pulling away. He kissed her like his life depended on it and their lips moved perfectly in a syncronised rhythm. Anna felt light headed, as she let go everything that was holding her back and melted against his lips.

Her fingers entangled in his black locks and she tugged at them everytime he pressed his body onto hers. His lips moved away from hers as he planted a number of wet kisses across her jaws and down her neck. By then, Anna was breathing hard from all the heightened sensations which were running through her body.

She was pinned down on the table and being kissed like there's no tomorrow, what could she probably think of at that moment?

Raven continued leaving a trail of kisses against her neck, every touch of his lips to her sensitive skin made her shiver under him. He kissed the spot below her ear and she gasped with a flinch, she felt a chill run down her limbs. Raven kissed the spot again and again until she was squirming under him.

Holding her down in place he hollowed his cheeks in and sucked on the sensitive skin and Anna lost her mind as a moan slipped out of her mouth.

All of their actions froze in place and Raven's eyes flickered open and he looked up at Anna who was breathing hard. He stared at her wide eyed and pushed against the edge of the table as his body moved away from hers.

Anna's eyes shot open when she no more felt the warmth of his body but heard his heavy breathing . She sat up on the table and was shocked to see him on the floor, holding his head in his hand. Anna jumped down from the table, totally forgetting about everything that happened, her mind filled with worry and concerned as she kneeled beside him and held his shoulder.

"Raven, are.. are you alright?" Her voice came out shaky as she tried to calm him down but all he did was groan and hiss.

On the other hand, when Raven heard her moan, he felt like every nerve in his brain was set on fire. Some blurred memories and voices came flashing back to him and when he glanced down he saw a girl, but it was not 'her'. He pulled away from whoever she was but a terrible pain tore through his head, he held his head and fell on his knees.

He could hear cries, screams, glass breaking and everything that just made his head ache worse. Someone held his shoulder and was saying something to him, he could not even hear them over the loud noises blasting inside his head.

Raven glanced up and saw Anna shaking his shoulder, he roughly pushed her away as she fell back against the table and winced when the edge hit her head. He scooted away from her, groaning in pain and she looked at him confused.

Anna tried to stand and move towards him but he crawled further away from her.

"Don't, Don't come near me...." He groaned and whimpered still holding his head and soon felt his back against the wall not being able to back away any further.

Anna stood on her knees and raised her hand in mid air towards him, but no words came out of her mouth. She felt dizzy all of a sudden, her vision was blurring out and a sting of pain hit her head. She still tried to stand and took two steps towards Raven who was sitting with his back against the wall whimpering and pulling his hair.

"R-Raven..." She managed to say before her knees gave up and she fell flat on the floor and winced when the cold tile hit her back. 

Raven heard his name being called but couldn't care less about it. He would die at the moment if that's what it took to stop the pain. Soon his body felt numb, his back left the wall and met the floor with a thud. He heard faint noises in his head calling his name before everything went still and he completely passed out.

Anna looked at Raven from where she was laying on the floor, she did not care about her pain, the hammering ache in her head, but only wanted to reach out to him. She saw how he collapsed down and tears freely rolled down her face.

In that moment all she could think was him and him only. She realized how many times she tried to push him away but he only got closer ,to her mind and her heart. And now she was falling for him, falling for a man who would probably forget her sooner or later.

She stretched her hand in air, her fingers trembled as they tried to hold his hand which were laying far away. Her heart ached and body shivered as everything started fading away slowly. Her hands fell numb on the floor when the dizziness took over her senses, her eyes flickered and she slowly whispered his name one last time before everything blacked out.
