20 CHAPTER 20

"Annie, I understood. Stop repeating the same thing"

The old lady walked into her bedroom and Anna followed her in. She had explained to the her grandmother that Raven was afraid of sleeping alone so he just slept on the other side of bed, far away from her. She skipped the part in the explanation where Raven had cuddled with her, not because she wanted to hide it but she was too embarrassed to say it. Although the old women said that she had no issues, Anna still wasn't satisfied with the response, thinking her grandmother would doubt things between her and Raven just like Eva did.

The old lady sat down on the bed slowly and a sigh escaped her lips. Standing in the kitchen, making breakfast and lunch, she was tired and wanted to take a nap but Anna wouldn't let her rest.

"Okay, Grannu, hear me out okay? He was on the other- " she was cut off by the Grandmother continuing her sentence.

"On the other side of bed, far away from you. I heard that over ten times now Annie. I told you, it's okay. He is sick so I can understand" she patted Anna's back with a smile and Anna opened her mouth to say something but closed it without uttering anything.

The Grandmother laid down on the bed, an exhausted look spread all over her wrinkled face. Anna stood up from the bed and pulled the covers over her grandmother before planting a small kiss on her cheeks. She walked out of the room and shut the door.

Anna sighed, clearly annoyed. She couldn't let that happen, she could not let Raven do things like that again. Although he was mentally behaving like a child but his actions were contradicting the fact. It was as if he turns into someone else when he is with her alone.

She stood there thinking for a moment, tapping her foot on the ground and finally decided to talk to him. However childish he may be but if she tells him to stay a bit away from her, he would surely understand, wouldn't he? Nodding to herself she was walking away from the bedroom door when she heard a phone ringing.

She turned around and slowly opened the door to her grandmother's room and saw her picking up the cell and pressing it to her ear. Anna walked in and sat on the bed beside the old lady as her face grew tensed.

"What? How? And you're telling me this now?" she continued shooting questions and Anna frowned, unable to understand what was going on. After a few minutes of grumbling and scratching her temple, the old lady kept the phone down and sighed softly.

Anna placed her hand on hers, "What is it Grannu?"

"Elora is sick" she said softly. Anna gasped a little, at the sudden news.

"What happened to Aunt Elora?"

"Dengue fever. Her friend Duke had called, she isn't taking the medication properly. You know her, she doesn't like medicines. I think I would have to pay her a visit"

Anna nodded and caressed the her grandmother's wrinkled hands.

She looked up at Anna with concern, "Will you be alright on your own Annie?"

Anna grinned, "Of course Grannu. I'm big girl now"

The old lady chuckled and patted her head before laying back down. Anna stood up and smiled at her before walking to the door. She stopped and turned around,

"When will you be leaving Grannu?"

"Tomorrow afternoon. It's a seven hours ride so the early I leave the better"

Anna nodded and walked out of the room before closing the door.

Aunt Elora has always been such a great support to her, whenever she missed her mother, Anna would call her Aunt and she would instantly light up Anna's mood. She was now worried for Aunt and she wanted to go with her grandmother to meet her but she couldn't. Raven was still with them and they could not take him with there so she had to stay back with him. She tensed a little when she realized she would be alone with Raven for God knows how many days.

She entered her room sighing and sat down on the bed. She took a day off from the shop so she had nothing to do. Her Grandmother was sleeping and Raven was also probably resting in his room. Bored of sitting idle, she walked out of her room and into the living room.

She plopped down on the couch and turned on the Television. Changing through various channels, she found nothing interesting to watch. She continued searching and after a few minutes, shut the television off. Standing up from the couch she looked around the house to find something to do. Boredom hit her hard because she was not used to sitting idle, doing nothing.

'What can I do?' her eyes wandered around the house.

"Why don't we check on Raven Darling?"

Her inner mind winked at her and Anna bit on her lips, thinking about the idea for a moment but immediately shook her head.

'No. I don't want to disturb him' she shrugged.

"Comm'on, just have a peep in, see what he's doing. Who knows, you might be blessed with a shirtless Raven again"

Anna rolled her eyes but could not fully ignore the temptation that comment had sparked in her. He was sick so she could of course check on him, she thought.

'It wouldn't hurt to just peek in right?' she said standing up.

"Not at all"

Anna turned around and made her away upstairs into the guest room which was opposite to her bedroom. The door was closed so she reached out to the knob slowly and twisted it. It clicked, which meant the room was not locked. She stood there holding the knob still rethinking about whether to go in or not.

She slowly opened the door with a creak and just poked her head in. Raven was not on the bed which had her frowning.

'Where did he go?'

"Go in and check yourself"

Surprisingly, she was doing everything her inner mind was prompting to her which was very rare. She walked in, making no noise or disturbance at all as she reached the middle of the room. The guest room was pretty decent and simple with grey and white painted walls, a double bed and a bathroom attached of course. It was kept simple because they hardly ever had any guests who would stay over and definitely never expected such an uninvited guest.

She heard faint noises of running water from the bathroom and nodded her head in realization.

'He is in the shower'

"Then go check in. That's what you came here for" Her inner mind smirked.

'Shut up, will you?'

She walked past the bathroom door but paused when she heard some noises other then the running water. She glanced at the door before walking towards it. As she went closer she could hear some weird voices from inside. She pressed her ears to the door and tried to make out what the noises were.

"Noona..." Her eyes went round when she heard his pained voice. He sounded so hurt that she felt a sting of it in her own heart. Without thinking twice she pushed the door and it was not locked as she expected. She walked in with long strides and looked around, searching for the familiar figure and saw his silhouette behind the shower curtains.

She walked towards the curtains and opened it without even caring if he was naked inside but he was not. He was sitting on his knees, forehead pressed against the cold wall, in his T-shirt and sweat pants that he was wearing in the morning and the shower water soaked it all, making it stick to his body. He sobbed calling for 'Noona' over and over again.

Anna's vision went blur and she realized she teared up. She stepped in the shower, the water soaking her clothes too as she bent forward, placing her palm gently on his shoulder, "Raven" she said almost as a whisper but loud enough for him to hear. He suddenly stopped sobbing and turned around immediately. When he saw her, his face showed a mixed expression of surprise and hurt.

His lips twitched but he could not say anything so he just held her hand and pulled her down towards him and she landed in his lap, straddling him. She tensed feeling the heat from him again and the warm water ran down their bodies, making it even warmer.

His red eyes stared at her so intensely that she felt goosebumps even under running water. He slowly turned them around, her legs still on his either sides as he slowly pressed her onto the wall still not breaking the eye contact. Anna gasped when the cold wall touched her bare neck and part of her back which was not covered by her t-shirt.

She looked at him confused for a moment. This Raven was nothing she saw before, he looked at her like he was angry and wanted to take it out right then and there. And it suddenly struck her

'Is he getting his memories back?'
