Chapter 5

The huge waiting hall was ahead of Bam,Koon and Rak.

They looked ahead seeing many wenching machines along with coffee making machines.

Looking towards his sides Bam noticed many female gazes being plastered on him.

He felt a bit shy while Koon laughed a bit seeing his reaction.

"There are quite many turtles who passed the test."

"Well,regulars are actually talented people throughout the tower and Headon doesn't make mistakes while choosing them."

"S-So many of them are strong?"

"Quite right."

Even without Koon's warning Bam could feel strong presences among many people in here.

And one of the most overwhelming one was presence of green skinned lizard girl.

"Now Now, Regulars."

The male voice snapped Bam from his thoughts as upon reverting his eyes Bam felt another overwhelming presence.

The blonde man with big ears and a smug look on his face.

He observed every regular throughoutly before opening his mouth.

"I congratulate you of coming this far. My name is Lero-ro and I'm a ranker assigned for you."

The certain word 'Ranker' made the bunch to murmur among themselves.

"A..Ranker!? Whoah...."

"I had never seen them before..."

Many people were surprised to see the Ranker in here.

"U-Umm Miss Koon."

"What is that?"

"What is Ranker?"

Koon fall silent.

"You don't know about rankers!? Did you grow up in some kind of cave or something?"

"W-Well...haha..."

"Sigh...Rankers are the people who climbed the tower and made a deal with administrator for an eternal life. Just so you know....even thousands of regulars won't be enough to deal with one ranker."

"Th-They are that strong...?!"

"Yep they are..."

"Hmph! Don't worry black turtle. With me you won't have to fear any Ranker on your way."

Rak puffed out his chest and strongly slapped it.

"Says the Alligator who wanted to kill us."

"Shut up or I will bite you."

Bam still had an uncertain feeling. Regulars? Irregulars? Rankers? There was so much unknown in this tower and this made him thrilled.

"So let's not delay our goals any further, regulars. I will take this test personally from you so be ready...."He extended his hand forward as a sphere of water formed in his palm."This is called Shinsu. The water of life which is filled in this tower. As the name applies Shinsu is life of this tower and once your training would finish you would be able to use it as well."

As he said it the shinsu in his hands started to stretch itself.

"Now....Here comes a little test."

The Shinsu extended to the point of it becoming a giant wall blocking the way.

"This is quite simple test...all you have to do is to just get over this wall."

Every regular who were there were in an uproar.

"How do you expect us to pass through Shinsu wall!?"

"Are you nuts?"

They started to bark at Lero-ro

However he stood unwavering.

"If you can't pass such a simple Shinsu wall than how come you expect yourselves to be worthy of climbing the tower?"

It was harsh but what Lero-ro said was true.

"Hah! We just should pass through the wall of this Banana turtle."

"It might be simple... don't you agree Bam?"

Koon asked Bam but...

He wasn't near them.

"B-Bam?"

"Black turtle?"

They both looked forward only to see Bam standing near the ranker.

"U-Umm...."

"Huh??"

Lero-ro was clearly surprised by this.

"I-I am sorry... should I go back?"

"N-No....luck is also important part while you are climbing the tower so consider yourself lucky for passing the test."

This surprised everyone. All of them were sure that shinsu of a ranker pushed everyone back.

"This kid...."

Ranker was more than amazed....it was obviously not a mere luck...it was a truly monstrous potential.

Maybe Bam didn't noticed but he made all the shinsu avoid him out of reflex.

It was something difficult to do even for a ranker or a high rankers what's over.

"I-I am feeling a bit uncertain..."

"Uncertain? About what?"

Anyway, Lero-ro decided to know something more about this boy.

"Just it feels unfair...."

"You are worried about others? You are kind but I wonder will you think that way when you will climb up this tower in the future?"

"...."

Bam wasn't sure he felt bad for everyone in here...that was the way he is.

Always kind. Always innocent. And always with a certain goals and mindset.

"There is no need to answer this now and beside.... Let's play a small game shall we?"

"A g-game?"

"Yep. The game is rather simple. Let's just decide who will pass the wall of Shinsu first."

Bam smiled.

"It will be great game!"

"Sure. And also if I loose I will answer any of your questions and if I win you will answer my questions. How does it sound?"

"Sure!"

"Haha,I like your spirit. Well than I will give you privilege to choose first."

Bam nodded quickly.

He looked over the public and suddenly he felt something....he was sure about.

"I choose that lizard girl."

"Hm?"

It seemed that Lero-ro's response was calm but inside he was more than just surprised.

The thing was that he wanted to choose the same girl as well.

"Haha it seems you won,Bam."

"I won...?"

"Well just..."

As Bam said the lizard girl passed the wall effortlessly.

"I really won. Whoah...."

"What made you think that this girl will pass first?"

"I don't know...it was just a feeling but I felt that feeling in my gut."

"Feeling in gut? Hahaha you really is a funny guy...haha...well than loss is a loss so what do you wanna ask?"

"Well.... I heard that rankers climbed the tower....is that right?"

"Well yes... technically."

"Than did you find something you seek for on top?"

Lero-ro thought for a moment and gave him his answer.

"Well I found treasures,money,fame and power but neither made me happy. What is the reason behind this question,Bam?"

Bam looked a bit red when saying this but he still muttered the words in his mouth.

"I wish to make friends. I don't really care for treasures or power all I want is to find friends and...w-well it's a bit embarrassing to say but....make everyone in this tower happy!"

His words were as if they all were copied from some hero book of a kid but for some reason they were impactful.

Rankers lived long enough to understand human desires and feelings and Lero-ro was sure that this guy was telling truth....it wasn't somekind of halfway lie it was rather a convincing desire.

Not knowing himself Lero-ro smiled.

"Well than,Mr.Bam. I hope you will remain with your goals the way you are."

The rest of test passed rather quickly. Many regulars managed to pass and many others didn't passed.

"Turtle!"

"Bam."

Both Koon and Rak passed through the wall easily and were heading towards Bam.

"Ms. Agera! Mr. Rak!"

Bam quickly ran towards them.

"I knew that you were not a simple turtle!"

"Huh?"

"He is right....you really surprised us."

"I-It really was just a luck!"

"Well it surely was surprising but...."Koon looked sideways and noticed many regulars staring at them."....This also dragged too much attention which was not even needed."

Yes there indeed was too much attention but there also was one certain gaze which made Bam to shiver.

He might had not noticed but....the Lizard girl was piercing him with her gaze.

"This boy....is strong."

Were the only words she said.

Ahhh....I know I know...yet again short chapter but I had my reasons!

Even so it is summer vacation now no one said that there won't be an additional exams...we all know how education government is a bitch towards students.

There are three fucking tests ahead...Gaaah! I wanna puke and also kill the damn person who invented the exams.....

Well anyway...I wanna say that from now I will move the things a bit faster. We all know that the first part was a bit boring so let's add some spice.... and echi. But well I won't make any lemons and Bam will remain innocent chestnut tho with a bit of character development cuz I'm the follower of god with a pure heart and true dedication...tho 177013 was kinda good tho.

Also quick question.... do you want Hatsu to be female or stay male? I just thought of it but Fem Hatsu is also kinda ho—Ahem! I will leave the choice for you.
