CHAPTER 10

Erica came with the information that the tanks could not be driven out easily. He did not think much and played with them. There were a few competitions and he toped them all. He was able to happily take on the impact of the grenades and he showed of it to his friends. The five of them returned as they were getting bored and returned to their home. 

John sat on the table and the chefs bought many meat dishes and the four of them ate shark meat. He was not interested in shark meat. Whale meat was tastier and he liked the meat more than anything. He smiled and ate the food.

Erica could only say, "My grandfather could not get the permission. He is not involved in the military too much."

John said, "There are many methods to make them come to us asking to ride the tank. Do they really not want the metal drink."

Erica said, "It will take a long time before they could understand the use of the drink. They do not think that such a thing could exist."

Rose was really sad but she had overcome it or rather, she was no longer in the mood to show off her sadness to others. She said, "You could have asked that bitch."

John said, "I have no interest in that woman. I have no interest in mortals."

Rose said, "You are also a mortal."

John said, "My body can survive for thousands of years. Luke's grandfather should be able to live for an extra fifty years and if he absorbs all the energy, he should be able to extend it another extra twenty-five years. The only problem is that the mind or rather, the brain cannot keep the memory and they will die with longer life as they will forget themselves. Even so, with higher energy in their bodies, the brain would become stronger. The life of the people will be a competition between body and brain. If the brain does not catch up with the longer life of the body, they will die unless they find other method to control their own memory. Now you should understand. I cannot believe her. She may die one day and wake up with some partial memory and become someone else. That is why is said that she is a mortal."

Luke said, "You cannot live in such fear."

John said, "Fear. If physical pleasure was all I wanted I could have got some women, no many women. I do not need the women to get money nor status. And I can never trust anyone and love is not for me. I just want to live unfettered. Reproduction is for mortal species. It is not for me."

Rose said in anger, "You will die alone."

John said, "I am far too rich and far too powerful. There will always be people besides me."

Erica said, "Let us eat more food."

John looked at her and said, "I like food very much."

Erica asked, "What are your plans? You should want to do something, right?"

John said, "I have everything I need. There is no need to have some goals. The only thing to do is to have some fun."

Luke said, "We have different goals."

John said, "I am a born senator in Rome and you are the ones running for the election. Most of them are the citizens of submissive countries."

Luke said, "What is the end?"

John said, "Can you make sure that your money and status remains the same. I can. Even if I keep spending money, the people under me will make more money. You have not seen my power to the end yet. Let us not discuss such things. What are your plans?"

Erica said, "All four of us are the heirs to the family. We have our own ideas and personal goals but the main idea is to take over the family."

John asked, "I thought that Rose and Paul were siblings."

Paul said, "I will be taking over my mother's business. She is from a political family. I will be taking over her position. I will be joining the party next year onwards. Rose will be inhering the company but I will be having some shares. Politics cannot be without money. I will be inheriting all the resources from my mother."

Rose said, "Mother is too much partial."

Paul said, "Be happy that you can get something. I am the largest shareholder. Be happy that I was able to let family allow you to control the company."

Rose said, "There is no one you can believe in. Can you really believe in anyone else?"

Paul said, "There are many. I just like my little sister."

Rose sighed, "That is true."

Luke said looking at the doubt on the face of John, "Women in their family is not valued. The only different is the mother of them but they value the smart and Paul is selected from either family. He is the one who protects her."

John said, "That is indeed a good method."

Luke said, "That is true. Not all are as pedantic as that but the rules are like that. Their family can only be inherited by males or the ones with the family name."

John said, "That is really a good idea."

John ate the food and decided to leave. The mother of Erica came to him and said, "Are you leaving?"

John said, "Yeah" The other three of them had left and only he was with Erica. They were playing psp game and they were talking about various gossips about the society. It was interesting to hear more gossips as it was boring to read such things during his lone time. Erica's mother asked, "Do you have some more energy? We want to exchange some of it."

Erica was angry and said, "Mom. We are having some private time. Don't talk business here."

John said, "I can give you I liter for 3 kg of gold. It takes 2 kg to refine the energy. I need the last kg as the processing would have some loss. I am ready to sell it for 5 kg per liter but I can sell it to you for a liter per 4 kg of gold."

Erica's mother spoke, "So that would mean something around 650,000 dollars per bottle."

John said, "Sure, but what I want is pure 24K gold. I don't need the money."

Erica's mother said, "I will be arranging the gold."

John said, "Hope you do not resell it. I am going to sell it for a litre per 5 kg at the 1 ml per human energy concentration. You can get as much as you want."

Erica's mother said, "Get me 50 liters for now."

John took a box out of thin air and put it on the ground. John smiled and said, "You can pay withing two weeks. There are fifty liters here."

Erica' s mother asked, "Can you sell the space storage you used."

John had created a space ring as it was made of metal. He could create a metal space that could hold all the things. He could create as much as necessary. It could hold all the things. He smiled and said to her, "It is hard to create such things. The one I have is the best one created."

Ericas's mother asked, "So you have a force behind you."

John said, "Something like that. They are an ancient sect and the leaders are the one who could use the power of the exercise. The ones who can succeed, like me is the strongest. I have absolute control and hence has no needs. They are like cult members and consider me their god. There is nothing else left to do."

Erica's mother said, "How much should I pay?"

John said, "1 cubic meter space can be given for 1000 kg of gold. Pure gold. I will give it to you after the exchange of gold."

Erica's mother asked, "Is there no thing that you would like to have?"

John said, "There are things I would like to have. They include food." John found that he could keep the items he had in his hand to another world even after each rebirth. He thought for a moment and said, "If you can make a special kind of food that is extremely tasty like chips, biscuits and other snacks, I can take it."

Erica's mother said, "You can get it with your money."

John said, "I need as much as possible. The physical energy and the metallic energy are used to create the human absorbable metal energy. We have our own source of food, but the tasty food is interesting."

Erica's mother asked, "There is no reason to do so. It does not add up to logic."

John smiled and said, "I can connect to different worlds. The foods of this world is extremely important in other world, especially the medieval world."

Erica's mother said, "So that is the truth. Is there some possibility of invasion?"

John said, "You can take all the precaution you want. If anyone stops me from procuring the items I want, I will declare war. I have some strategic weapons too."

Erica's mother said, "I have no control over such things. I will be trying to get some gold for the space ring."

John said, "It can be of any shape."

John stood up and said, "I am leaving. Goodbye Erica."

He smiled and left. Erica and her mother sat there discussing some important things.
