21 Overgrown

Leonard Snart:

"So wait," I ask, wiping the barrel of 'my' cold gun. "We're just going to wait here until Flash is done talking with his wife? What about the two in the truck? What if they wake up?"

A lot of banging drawing our attention to the trunk, we all turn to look.

"You mean like right now," Sunglass replies, opening the glove component and pulling out some snacks. Tossing me a cinnamon bun, he then opens one for himself. "Don't worry. No matter how fast Reverse-Flash vibrates, he can't phase through that trunk."

"How sure are you of that?"

"Very sure. I've been in fights with Flash and Reverse-Flash for years. I learn a lot."

"Wait," Supergirl screams, "You've been in fights with Flash? With Barry?"

"It's a long story," Sunglass answers, taking a bite.

"It's not like we're going anywhere," I add, opening and taking a bite out of my cinnamon bun. "Another question. Why is she here?"

"She's a member of the Insurgent."

"Oh, that's funny," I laugh, looking at the infamous red cape, blue suit, and giant golden 'S'. "Superman's little cousin is a member of the Insurgent. Hmm, I thought the Joker was dead."

"He is, and you will be too if you don't shut up."

Reaching for more snacks, he hands Supergirl a bag of circus animal crackers. Taking the bag, she opens it and nibbles on a pink elephant.

"Speaking of the 'members of the Insurgent', I say, turning to look at the front door. "Where are they? If memory serves, there's also Green Arrow, Black Canary, Harleen, and a few others. Where are they in the middle of all of this?"

"Green Arrow and Black Canary are in Slaughter Swamp, Harleen and Catwoman are in the Batcave, and Firestorm and Blue Beetle are back in the base resting. Funny thing, Kara is supposed to be at the base resting but I guess not. I need to beat up the doctor later."

"The doctor," I repeat.

"Slaughter Swamp," Supergirl repeats. "And the Batcave?"

"I'm sure they're fine," the man screams. "I mean, come on. What could be happening right now that is so bad?"

Green Arrow:

"Crush him," Ivy screams, the roots wrapping around me and tightening. Feeling the air leaves my lungs, my arms pushing into my hips, and my head going crazy, I scream.

"You'll make some excellent fertilizers," Ivy laughs, jumping down from the Venus flytrap and lowering her head so it's near mine. "And I do love the green."

My eyes about to pop out of my head, everything turning blurry, I pull my head back and slam it into Ivy's head! Screaming and falling back, I turn around and reach for my quiver.

"Come on," I say, "Come on!"

A few arrows falling out, I grab one with my teeth and activate it. A small red light beeping on the end, I split it toward Ivy.

Black Canary:

"What the hell," I scream, turning around in time to see black smoke rising into the air! "Ollie!"

Running to the smokes, I stop when something grabs my foot! Even before I can ask, a large body of vines and woods erupts from the water surrounding me. Shielding myself from the oncoming droplets, I lower my hands when I see Swamp Thing standing before me, the behemoth dripping with water.

"Black Canary," he starts, walking toward me.

"Hello Swamp Thing," I say, waving at him. "How are you-"

Swamp Thing raising his hand, roots then bursts up from the ground, surrounding and trapping me!

"You will not let you have this swamp," Swamp Thing yells, moving his hands and making the bars overlapping each other. The lights disappear, the holes being covered up, I find myself in total darkness, the only thing I am hearing is the dirt moving as more roots pile on.

Green Arrow:

My head is burning hot. All I can hear is some sort of ringing. All I can see is a mush of colors and shapes, nothing more than blurs. Pushing myself up from the mud, the sogginess of it seeping through my fingers, I step up but quickly fall onto my knee. My legs feel off. I can still feel them but they're not listening to me.

Screaming at them, I take another step and this time, the bottom of my foot hit the soggy mud. Letting out a sigh, I push myself up and back onto two feet.

"Okay," I say, putting a hand to my forehead. "I'll admit it. That was a lot stronger than expected."

The mud actually helps with my 'fever', I turn and look around for a bit. Thankfully, the choking roots and the giant man-eating Venus flytrap are nothing more than blown bits of brown and green.

"You," a familiar voice screams, the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. Turning around, I see a stumbling Poison Ivy get back up. "You killed them! Murderer! I will kill you!"

Raising both her arms, more roots gather around her legs. Twirling together, they then burst into two, little, flytraps, their wooden teeth snarling at me.

"Oh," I start, looking down to see my bow still in the water. Reaching down and grabbing it, I then pull and load an arrow into my quiver. "This is going to hurt."

Pointing a finger at me, Ivy's pets charge toward me. Pulling back my bowstring, I aim down my arrow and fire.

Swamp Thing:

"Smoke," I say, seeing a trail of faded smoke from not too far away. Sinking back into the water, about to rush over there, I stop when I hear a loud scream! Turning around, I see the cell I made break open, and shards flying toward me! Shielding myself from them, I look to see more of the cell break open, before collapsing.

"I'm not here to fight you," the regime says, stomping her foot against the ground. "Swamp Thing, please! It's me! Dinah!"

"I know you," I reply. "You are Dinah Lance, Black Canary, and one of Superman's regime. Here to claim my swamp in the name of your master!"

"Superman is not my master," the regime yells, "And I'm not here to claim your swamp! I'm here, because, apparently, someone I know thinks you can help us."

"I will not become a regime," I scream, stomping my fist against the ground and making the sharp roots erupt from the ground. Jumping out of the way, dodging the roots, the regime turns to face me. However, before she can use her screaming power, I fire my arm and wrap my hands around her mouth.

Supergirl:

"So wait," I say, waving my hands in the air. "There's some sort of poisonous gas venting in throughout the entire base? Really?"

"It's a security defense," The replies, "And it is not poisonous. It's non-lethal. In the event that Superman, any of his regimes, or/and his entire One Earth army invades the base, they will fall unconscious due to the knock-out gas."

"Yeah," Leonard interrupts, "But even for me, that's a bit extreme. I mean, seriously? Venting a nerve gas throughout your whole secret base?"

"Again," The screams. "It is not poisonous. It is not nerve gas. It is knock-out gas. My own mixture. It will never kill you no matter how much you sniff it. It will however put you into a coma if you sniff too much of it."

"Oh so a living death," Leonard adds.

"I have both the vaccine and a cure if that happens. I really hope it doesn't but you never know. Clowns are unpredictable."

About to ask another question, a beeping stops me.

Reaching into his pocket, The looks at it before getting out.

"Sorry but I have to take this," he says before closing the door.

The:

Tapping my phone, I see the sensors I placed on Green Arrow and Black Canary turn dark red.

"Oh boy," I say, shaking my head. "I guess they need them too."

Swiping and switching screens, I turn to a remote screen of the car I 'loaned' them. Tapping on the hidden component, a small remote car pops out from beneath it. Now looking at a live feed, I use the sensors to find where the two are. Luckily, they're not too far away from each other.

Seeing Green Arrow literally get whips by a vine held by Poison Ivy, I roll my eyes.

"You're getting beaten up by a woman," I whisper, pushing a few buttons. "Just wanted to point that out."

A crosshair appearing on my screen, I aim it right at Greenie. Pushing the final button, my remote car fires at him. Screaming as it hit him, he tried to reach for it but couldn't. Dropping, he disappears from my view.

"Now for the bird lady. You can thank me later."
