Chapter 4 Part 8

He didn't really understand what was going on, but he began falling towards the direction of the city where Rick and Lux were at. Then he saw Lux and Rick being surrounded by guards and the fire mage. Codarius then fell near the crowd of guards and the two. Rick and Lux immediately looked at where Codarius fell down. Everyone looked in the same direction, wondering what in the world fell down from the sky. There was dust and dirt flying everywhere, due to the impact.

Surprisingly, Codarius didn't feel a single pain from the impact, and didn't take any damage. Perhaps he still had the properties from the Grand Sanatorium. The dust cleared, and everyone gasped at the appearance of Codarius. Lux and Rick both yelled, "Codarius!" Codarius smiled, and then yelled at them with a serious face, "Guys, we're running!" Lux and Rick began running towards Codarius. Lux then casted a spell, "Lift." Lux, Rick, and Codarius then got surrounded with a bright yellow light, and their bodies became severely light.

Their speeds were incredible, and they completely outran every guard. However, the fire mage began chasing after them, and caught up with ease. He then lined up next to the gang, and asked, "Where do you think you're going?" His character had changed completely. His eyes were wide and full of confidence, and his voice was extremely agressive. Lux then spoke to Rick and Codarius, "This guys a pain. We might not be able to get away from this guy. He's… He's Hristov, one of the greatest and youngest mages in this Kingdom.

Though he has a lot of controversies, his strength is undoubtedly ridiculous." Codarius' hope and confidence got wiped away with the glimpse of Lux's words. 'Hristov, wasn't he the guy that Lux mentioned earlier that was essentially in the equal position as Lux was before the calamity?' Codarius thought. For all Codarius knew, this guy was definitely going to destroy them at this rate. Then Hristov shot a simple fire attack at them. The fire attack hit all 3 of them, and exploded menacingly upon impact. However none of them seemed to have taken damage. Was this thanks to Lux's spell too? If Lux and Rick had not been here, how terrible it would've been for Codarius.

Codarius then told Lux to take the magical walkways to the Grand Santorium, maybe that will help them track him off. Codarius asked Lux, "How far can you keep on casting this spell?" Lux replied, "The range is actually very wide. So long you don't leave the kingdom, and stop your constant movement, it won't uncast. Or if I run out of energy." Codarius thought a little, and proposed, "Let's split in 3, and take the different walkways to the Grand Sanatorium.

They all lead to the same place, so we'll eventually meet up, but it may distract Hristov away for a second." Though Lux knew splitting up was generally one of the worst decisions in any situation, either way, if they didn't try, they could get turnt to bbq meat any second, so he decided it was worth a shot. Lux nodded at Codarius, and Rick did too. Codarius then explained, "I'll take the middle lane, Rick, you take the right, and Lux, you take the left." They agreed and began to split ways. Hristov saw the 3 splitting ways, and clicked his tongue, and followed Codarius.
