Chapter 1 Part 1: Counterpoint of the Perishing Voices

The streets turn pitch black each step the boy takes, as he cries hysterically. With his legs shaking frantically along with his entire body, as if it is about to fall apart, he trips and falls down the stairway on the side of the street. With the exception of his body rolling and hitting the hard stone stairs and the boy's hysterical crying, everything was silent. There seemed to be no sound, with the night darker than any night.

Light was absent, with the surrounding being darker than the darkness you see in your sleep. The boy's cries didn't echo. The night swallowed his anguished voice. This time less hysterically, the boy cried, with his voice fading from time to time,

"Why… I couldn't keep my promise to you… I'm sorry… I'm sorry, mimi…"

After saying those words, the boy made himself small in his shame, and began crying hysterically again, slamming his head and arms on the floor over and over again, cracking his skull, crushing his arms. With no sensation of pain left on his body anymore, his madness took over him. All the pain he felt left was engraved into his mind, with his sheer feel of existing feeling like shattered glass.

With his grief only adding up to the pain, he cried even more hysterically and pathetically, only to be heard by no one. After slamming his head on the floor and the wall next to the staircase, his consciousness began to fade, as it could not withstand the amount of madness, sadness, pain, and grief it was feeling.

All of his emotions stirred in his empty space, with the complete absence being filled with madness that only he can see and feel. Then glimpses of memories within his head began flowing within him, all of them being memories formed and recollected by the madness. The memories began flowing rapidly, accelerating more and more. As the memories began flowing irregularly, everything hit a sudden end. As Codarius felt completely hopeless, useless, and wrathful towards all that caused this upon him, he tried to scream, cry, slam his head, fall onto the floor, however he couldn't.

He had no body, he had no nothing. He was just in complete darkness now. The darkness left the boy with nothing but insanity. The pain accumulated endlessly, when suddenly, everything shattered into several pieces, the pieces flying everywhere into the darkness. Eventually, the pieces would come to an end, joining the endless darkness and void, that also one day will end.
