First Blood!

Deep inside the forest,

One could see a figure of a young man, currently fighting against 50 wolf type monsters all at the same time. Obviously, this young man is Jaden.

His attacks were very lethal as the wolves were killed one by one with only a single blow.

With Jaden's current stats and paired with his martial arts, this fight couldn't even be considered as a fight anymore, since he was basically toying with these wolves.

Infinity World Online could be said to be way different than the past VRMMOs that came and went. One of the differences between this game and its predecessors is its two modes that a player could use in-game.

The first one is called the Assisted mode while the other one is called the Independent mode.

For the Assisted mode, one is basically using the system's help to attack, use a skill, target an enemy, and so on. The total damage of their attacks and skills are also completely depended on the player's attributes. This has been the one and only mode that has been used by past VRMMOs that came and went.

On the other hand, Independent mode is something completely different and unique to Infinity Online. It's more realistic since one's attacks, control, skills, and movement are completely up to the player itself. Therefore, one can use whatever abilities he or she has in real life which provides a great advantage to a player. While this mode is stronger than the assisted mode, it is also infinitely harder, therefore, most players don't use this mode.

Since Jaden uses the Independent mode, he found out that there was a thing called Completion rate when one attacks or uses a skill. With higher Completion rate, comes a stronger damage than the usual, and there are even added effects which could be said to be a tremendous help!

When he started killing the monsters, he surely was surprised at first but he eventually got used to it anyway. With his tempered precision and decision making, his completion rates are way above the roof. Even a top-tier expert could probably achieve a maximum of 70% or 80% Completion rate. They would have to train incredibly hard if they wanted to increase that by even a single percent.

Half a minute later,

[ Ding! Congratulations! You have leveled up to Level 6! +5 AP (+5), +1 SP. ]

(Note: AP = Attribute points, SP = Skill Points. Also, the (+5) is from the {Sword of the Unrivaled} since it gives an extra +5 AP when leveling up.)

Jaden chuckled. "Reaching Level 7 in 30 minutes can't be considered too bad right?"

If he said these words in public then people would definitely say that he was a liar or an idiot. This is because, for ordinary players, it would them at least half an hour before leveling up once.

Since Jaden could effortlessly kill the mobs in this forest he could easily increase his level. Unlike other players where they struggle to the point where they have to team up with others just to kill a single Forest Wolf.

(Note: Mobs = Gaming term for monsters.)

After he finished off the last monster, Jaden started looting their corpses.

"These low level monsters really don't drop anything useful..." Jaden sighed.

After he picked up everything and stored them in his space ring, he then headed deeper into the forest, intending to get to level 10 in one go.

As his level increased the experience points that the monsters gave him started decreased as well, and since there weren't any higher leveled monsters in the Beginner's Village it was inevitable that leveling would take longer than normal.

"I really need to leave this Beginner Village already, with such low-level monsters, its taking ages to level up." complained Jaden.

Most players would choke this guy to death if they heard what they said. Only a few hours have passed and this guy was about to hit Level 10 already.

Yet he was still complaining how slow his leveling was when normally, one should take at least a whole day of non-stop grinding just to reach level 10 quickly.

As he delved deeper into the forest, he suddenly heard a powerful and angry howl far in the distance.

Jaden's eyes gleamed sharply as he muttered under his breath. "A boss monster! I can finally reach Level 10 now." he then, like a wind, dashed towards the sound with an amazing speed.

A few seconds later, a wolf that was about 7 meters tall could be seen howling on top of a hill.

HP: 40,000

(Note: Bosses, besides having different grades also differ from one another. They have 3 ranks which are: Normal, Elite and Lord Bosses. )

Jaden was surprised when he saw the boss' information. "10,000 HP? Even if there were a thousand players that tried to take on this boss, they can only be decimated."

However, his eyes shone with excitement as this would be his first challenging fight.

While Jaden discovered the Boss, he was also discovered by it.

*AWOOOO* ROAR*

With incredible speed, it charged towards him fiercely, intending to rip him into pieces.

If it were someone else in his position right now, then he/she might've collapsed already under the terrifying pressure. However, Jaden, being the monster he is, merely smiled as he dashed towards the boss.

Activating {Windwalk} which was already leveled up to Lv.2 with +25% AGI instead of 20%, His speed became much faster.

Jaden immediately used {Omnislash} which is a skill from his {Sword of the Unrivaled}.

His body disappeared as he reappeared beside the Fiery Wolf King.

In under a second, Jaden dealt over five thousand damage which on the other hand, enraged the boss.

Suddenly, the Fiery Wolf King howled as he was calling for reinforcement. And a few seconds later, there were suddenly more than a hundred wolves in the vicinity.

Jaden looked around him and laughed as he prepared to use {Paragon's Rage} for the very first time.

Here's the chapter! Enjoy! Also, the next chapter of Apex System will be a bit late since I have a different schedule in my work now. Don't worry, It'll come.
