CHATER 5 : HUNGERY

''Good news, someone finally volunteered to be the group's vessel''…

finally, for a while I considered that we would have to take the job without a vessel, the girl in a chestnut short dress said . ' what' is the name of the person, do we know them, victor.

'' it says here Alexander''.

''Alexander? ''. ''oh! he is boss godson I heard... . ''but recruits are banned from taking this job right Stella? ''. he asked as he directed his gaze toward the brown skin woman with stern green eyes. Stella had been distracting herself by polishing her gun not caring about the topic of their discussion except now that her opinion was requested.

''As clear as I recall, the boss said recruits are banned from taking up the job. But on the job post, it says anyone can take on the job. So if that young elf wants to go on an adventure I say let him come''.

After saying this, Stella went back to polishing her gun while watching them as they continued their argument on whether or not Alexander should be allowed to participate in the job with them.

'' let's just take the kid along victor, no use arguing over that again unless you would like to volunteer to be the group's vessel. vita suggested, to which victor immediately shook his head with a sigh of surrender.

After they had all agreed to accept Alexander into their team, they all dismissed themselves each going their separate way. Agreeing to meet back before sundown the next day.

'NO!..'

startled awake in a quick breath Alex hurriedly flung his blanket open and rushed to a corner of his cell emptying the content in his stomach and falling on the ground his face pale and sweating.

Attempting to calm himself down he splashed water on his face and rinsed his mouth before settling down on his bed again, trying to dismiss the content of his dream.

A dream of that dreadful day playing like a movie on repeat and plagued by the same nightmare for more than three months now.

'families being slaughtered, blood rushing out like an endless fountain. houses on fire cries of anguish and pain. Re-experiencing such a traumatic event was no easy thing.

Lying down on the bed was not helping so he decided to dress up and go to the silver cross-organization and check on what he registered for. And hopefully, he would be allowed to join the group, after that he was hoping to go see Emma and have his breakfast while at it.

Pulling up the only other cloth he had which was a black shirt and a soft brown jacket to go with it. Stepping out of the cell and headed to the capital city of mortice Dionne he first navigated his way through the hundreds of cells by just walking straight down because, at the back of the cell sector which is where he stays, the mining capital was just sitting at the back of the cell sector.

Making his way through the entrance of the capital he took a few turns and then got to the S.V Organisation. Pulling the door open and stepping in he made his way down to the receptionist's table where grace was. ''morning Grace, has the group accepted me yet''.

She replied by telling him to wait a few minutes before she handed a piece of paper to him. Seeing the paper was already stamped approved, he smiled happy that he was going on a mission soon and was about to leave when Grace called him back that they would be meeting up back at the organization before sundown. Thanking her he left the organization leaving a hot trail and straight to where Emma stayed in the cell section .

Emma's cell was far deep within the cell section so it took quite a while for me before I could get there .standing in front of the cell I called out her name, it took a while before she pulled apart the curtain she set up for privacy and pulled open the cell doors bIdding me in.

''Good news Emma''. ''And what good news would you bless me with today, I got signed in with a team and we are going monster hunting''.

Smiling at his child-like expressions. ''going on a raid, I see. I remembered my first time too, it was as bloody and dirty as it could get. One question Alexander you plan on going to the battlefield without your armor and weapons?''.

''You plan on going on a raid mission without the proper skills, you could end up dead''.

''Everyone dies someday Emma, some people do prepare and yet they still die''.

''Exactly my point if they can die even when they are prepared then you, your dead body wouldn't even be found if you go there unprepared''.

'' I believe you should be in teams right? ''.

''Yes I am''.

'' what rank does your team contain, In my opinion for recruits it would be a rank e-a. What's the location of the dungeon your team plan on raiding? ''.

'' …. I...I am not sure. But do not fret I am meeting up with my team today, before sundown and I was here just share this with you''.

' fine I will not oppose as long as your organization knows what they are doing, they wouldn't send recruits on a dangerous raid'

''say Emma, let's go have some breakfast I'm quite hungry right now I could eat a whole ten bowls of crab porridge.''You glutton, you're the first elf I have seen eat this much''.

'' I am the only elf you might see eat this much and it's not entirely my fault I'm just a big eater, I'm a growing young elf''.

''you are just turned eighteen, in human age you are already a grown man, you could have been married if you were a human ''.

'' That's why you humans don't grow strong you waste your energy on silly things like getting married.

''Oh shut it Alexander! let's go get breakfast before I change my mind and you pay for It …

Sigh,'' youngling'' she said and rolled her eyes before stepping out of the cell with Alex in her tow.
