CHAPTER 7 : ''DIANA''

Standing up I could see she had a smirk on her face, which was a bit annoying. Not waiting for her to launch an attack this time I ran towards her aiming for her face but she dodges it by crouching using the opportunity of being within my space and directing an upper court to my jaw disorienting my movement again landing a powerful kick to my stomach which sent a painful shiver through my body making me kneel.

But still keeping my cool we started launching a series of attacks at each other both of us not ready to lose. I grabbed her hair using it as a weapon dragged her closer to me and kicked her at her back and it continued like that until we stopped, tired and sweaty.

We commenced our series of attacks again but the different thing this time was I could see through all her moves predicting what the next attack would be and countering it.

An incoming upper court, I dodged it before delivering a kick at her hand which was meant to attack me weakening it before delivering another brutal kick to her side which was left open forcing her to kneel before she quickly rolled away evading the kick I directed to her head.

I kept attacking and she took a defensive stance trying to avoid my attacks instead of attacking, her face bloodied and breathless.

From the moment we started sparing I had already begun trying to decipher her movement but it was hard to do so because she was fast after we both got tired she got slower giving me the chance to read her movement before I started attacking knowing what move she would make next.

Deciding to finally end the fight I stopped and concentrated on her like a predator getting ready to devour its prey. Rushing forward I jumped up and directed one leg to the front while the other was bent kicking her face before landing back on the floor.

'' Yes!'', I exclaimed because my opponent was already on the floor her back on the ground. Finally being relieved I too fell to the ground exhausted.

After a while, I stood up and went to check on her because she hadn't made any movement and had just been shivering. Getting to where she was I was a little surprised at the expression she was making. She was actually trying to hold back her laughter.

Seeing such a funny expression I started laughing at her.

'' You! ''

why are you laughing at me you shithead!. Just because you won once doesn't mean I won't beat you the next time. You were only lucky today because I had already sparred with a few people before you, Do you hear me!''.

''Right, of course. I said taking pity on her and sat down beside her before taking out a clean cloth and giving it to her.

''Here take this, there's blood all over your face.''

'' The same goes for you too, you look far worse than me! ''. '' Well you didn't go easy on me did you?

snatching the cloth from me she began wiping her face before mumbling a thank you.

'' Diana''.

'' Hmm...''

'' My name, it's Diana..''

'' Nice meeting you Daina I'm Alexander'. It was a brutal experience meeting you.

'' You! bursting out in laughter, what does that mean?!. I was going easy on you until you turned it into a death match with how fiercely you were aiming at me.

'' I must inform you that I only did that because it seemed that miss Diana had ill intentions for me.

'' well I didn't you idiot, you were so easy to hit, and next, I couldn't hit you again what changed? Where you going easy on me!. I'll have you know that I hate it when someone goes easy on me.It denies me the opportunity to fully accessing my strength.

''Be rest assured I did not go easy on you.

''Then what changed then ? ''. As I've told you Diana nothing did, I could just see your movement much clearer.

'' hmm, so that's where I'm lacking huh?. she said rubbing her jaws.

''oh well I am going now, it was a pleasure meeting you Diana, hopefully, we'll meet again.

''Hopefully Alexander, and the next time we meet I'll have you spar with me and cross my words I'll make sure to beat you. she said with a smile dancing on her lip.

''And I'll train harder so you won't have a chance, I said exiting the training hall.

Getting outside I realised it was almost sundown , that means I'll be meeting them soon .

How could I completely forget something that important. I think I still have a little bit of time to clean up before going back to the quest hall.

Running to the well just at the back of the training building I quickly took off my top and fetched a bucket of water before using It in a hurried motion using my hands to scoop water and washing my face arm and neck before putting on my top back and started rushing to the quest hall. By the time I reached there, it was already sundown.

'shit I'm late. Entering the building I went straight to grace's desk.

''oh, you're finally here, they have been waiting for you,

''where are they?''.

''Just over there, she pointed to a group of people sitting at the left side of the guild.

'' I quickly but softly made my way there, when I got near and they still haven't noticed me I wanted to voice my arrival when I heard a voice complaining about why they had to wait for a mere vessal, the voice sounded clearly upset, but what made me curious was that the voice sounded familiar.

''Hello?.., I said finally making them notice me. They all turned to me as well as the one who had been complaining.

''Alexander!…

'' Diana!….
