A New Friend And A New Enemy

Quinn's P.O.V.

"Here is your room. Just tell me or the girl you met earlier, Celestine, if you want something. We are just a few steps down." Frost stated. I nodded as I sighed. This is my first time to have my proper room.

"Quinn. Can I talk to you?" Frost said, looking at me with a serious face. Woah. This seems serious. "But not now. There are a lot of customers now, thanks to you. I'll first handle them. Rest first. Tell me when you are available." He added. I smiled and then nodded. Frost went out of the room. Luminos, who was at the top of my head since the beginning, went down and laid at the bed.

I wandered my eyes around the room. This area's pretty big. I think it's about 5 by 5 meters. I looked around. When I first entered the door I saw a white bed filled with 5 pillows and a blanket. Exactly at the front of it is a white sofa with 2 pillows at the end. In front of it is a small table with a flower in a pot.

On the left side of the bed was a table and a chair, while on the other side is a small drawer. At both of the corners beside the door was a closet, and at the back of the bed was a window. Hmm. It feels like I'm in the normal world when I'm in this room. How nostalgic. I walked towards the bed, layed all my stuff at the table including my bow and arrows, and then laid down my body with my hands wide open.

I sighed. So much has happened to this day. I got reincarnated, fought Luminos, created my first Golem, and then fought again. What have I gotten myself into? Well, at least I did the right thing. Instead of being a coward like what I used to be, I want to live my life to the fullest now, doing what I want to do without any restraints.

At the end of the day, living my life in vain is boring and sad. I don't want to happen to me, or others as well. I sighed. Now I have to plan how I can take care of this issue. Hmm.

"Master? Are you alright? You must be tired. I mean, with all that circumstance— oh. He's sleeping. That's good to see. Sleep well, master. Leave everything to me." Said Luminos. I should also let my brain sleep as well. I can control when my brain can sleep, but I can't with my body. Technically, I'm half asleep, that's why I can still hear Luminos. Good.... night... I hope... I.... survive.

As I opened my eyes, I saw a face of an animal. A big animal. I blinked my eyes and then went up. I stared around first for a minute straight, not doing anything as the awkward silence has won around my room. Latterly, I stood up and then went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and the. washed my face. I forgot to mention. They also gave me a bar of soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. I'm surprised they have that here.

Then, I went out of the bathroom and looked at the window. Thank goodness. I didn't oversleep. I can only take a nap for an hour, after all. I think it's around 4:30 a.m. or something like that when I slept. Now, the sun is already setting. Well, that is, if that's a Sun. Anyway, I looked at it, bringing back memories from the earth. My eyes teared up for a little, but I immediately wiped it.

*Footspets*

As I looked at the sun-like whatever it is, I heard footsteps coming from outside. I looked at the door, and then I heard someone knock. I walked and opened the door, and what I saw was Frost covered in sweat. What happened?

"Thank goodness you are fine. Did no one come in here? Did no one try to do anything bad to you? Did something happened? Are you alright? A—"

"I'm fine, now can you please get to the point." Before Frost could stop talking while worrying about me at the same time, I replied to him immediately.

"We are in danger. Especially you." He said.

"Is it because I humiliated the Administrator's daughter?" I asked.

"I'm afraid that is true." He replied, trying not to make contact as he bowed his head.

"I will take full responsibility. I decided to do this not only because of you and your restaurant but also because I want to. Peace is what I only want. Being maltreated is the most I despise." I said.

"Quinn, I know you are a great, kind person. But I think you have done enough. You will get yourself into trouble. You standing up for me and others is already too much. And even if we, including you, want to fight, we can't. The Administrator is powerful. We might not even get close to her." He expressed fear.

"Why are you always in fear? Think clearly, Frost. Why won't you stand up? Why are you always scared? If you're showing your fear to them, they'll only belittle you and make fun of you as well. You just got to be brave. You're not alone. They're all here for you. I am also here for you. I'm assuming that's what friends do, right?" I smiled as I looked at him. I know what it feels like. But now that I have given another chance, this is not a time to be a coward. I have already regretted doing that. But friends? Why did I say that? What will he say? Will he laugh?

"Friends? We are..... friends?" He asked, confusion taking over his face. I smiled.

"Are we?" I asked.

"O-of course!" He exclaimed as he smiled. He really is like a celbrity with that smile. "But, how can we fight the Administrator? She's powerful. We don't stand a chance against her." He asked.

"Give me a week. A week is all it takes."
