46 The impulse of a fly or the beginning of a warrior

This time he exposed himself to danger knowing what was going to happen just for two very important things, the first was to check if Ymir was a potential enemy and the other to find out if she had allies who were quite possibly other shifter titans.

However, this time he knew that this was not the case, which was very reassuring to him. He didn't have to worry if Ymir was a future enemy of this world or not, if she had attacked him, he would have eliminated her at any cost. On the other hand, he also set an imperceptible trap for her. Long ago he shared with her information about what was going to happen today, if they had not taken down the wall, Takashi would have been certain that Ymir was an enemy.

By the time Takashi pulled Ymir and Christa back, the Garrison corps base was already in a mess.

Not caring too much, Ymir, Christa, and Takashi quickly put on their three-dimensional maneuvering equipment and then filled the fuel tanks and blades; it didn't take long.

A person stationed inside the base shouted, "Cadets! At this point your training is over, show that you are real soldiers."

All the panicked cadets calmed down.

Soon, Kitz Weilman, one of the captains general of the garrison corps in the Trost region, had all the new Corporals and the rest of the soldiers of the garrison corps gather in the central courtyard of the base.

Captain Kitz Weilman stood in front of everyone and shouted, "Soldiers, you will be divided into squads, you will be under the command of the garrison troop, your function will be to provide logistical support, maintain communications and eliminate the titans."

"The front line will be the garrison units, the second line will be formed by the cadet squadrons and the rear will be formed by the elite units of the troop."

"This will help us get the elite squad ready to stop the armored titan if it wants to punch a hole in the Rose Wall."

Kitz Weilman paused for a moment and continued, "We have received word that the outpost has been completely wiped out, the outer gate has been destroyed and the titans have overrun the city. This means that the armored titan will appear at any moment to break down the inner gate."

"How?"

"Has it gotten to that point?"

"Damn it!"

The cadets and garrison soldiers in the audience panicked, many people were coldly sweating with panic written in their eyes.

"Silence! The front line is already engaged, this defensive operation has only one goal, to allow the evacuation of civilians to the Rose Wall. I hope you have not forgotten that desertion is punishable by death."

"Surrender your hearts and your lives, dismissed."

"Yes sir!"

After Kitz finished, everyone helplessly respected the captain's orders.

After a ceremony, they all dispersed.

This arrangement is actually very unreasonable. Most of the elite soldiers are in the rear, supposedly to wait for the armored titan but everyone knew it was the safest place, while the ordinary soldiers and a group of recent graduates are in the front.

Knowing this, many would die even without the possibility of killing a titan. They are all inexperienced and quite possibly fear would consume their strength, there was no chance of survival.

Takashi looked around for a few seconds and found that many people were in panic and did not know what to do.

Some people are still replenishing compressed gas, some others who have seen titans devouring people are now vomiting, some others were just sitting on the ground full of despair.

In short, few people could keep calm in this situation.

"Daz, you won't serve me like that, get off your damn ass and defend this city by our side." Takashi lifted Daz from the ground who was so far only vomiting.

"I can't... I'm scared Takashi, I can't serve you like this." Daz looked at Takashi with tears coming out of his eyes.

"You fucking bastard! We will defend this place and make sure the titans don't destroy the Rose wall." Takashi released him and said, "Just remember your family, you would either live and be the cause of their deaths or you will stand up and defend their future with your own hands."

Takashi no longer paid attention to him and gathered the others of his squad seven, Christa, Ymir, Nelson and Thomas."

"Everyone resupplied with compressed gas and blades?"

"All set!"

Extending his hand over the shoulder of Thomas, who was trembling slightly, looking at Christa and Nelson who were panicking, Takashi asked in a calm voice, "Is it fear?"

There was a silence and he chuckled lightly, "To be honest, I'm pretty nervous too. However, have you forgotten how we got here and everything we had to go through in the last three years?"

"Thomas, you were determined to do anything but join the scouting corps, your courage and way of looking at the titans has increased since you joined the corps."

"Nelson, you asked me to help you get stronger to see your father's death at the hands of the titans, the time has come for you to kill those bastards."

"Christa, I'm sure Ymir will protect you no matter the consequences, but you will most likely defend her."

"Ymir, I trust you with my back and I know you worked very hard to learn what was necessary to survive. I will not put you in a dangerous situation, we just need to do our job."

"Now I want to tell you all that we don't suffer so much to be titan food - take heart, we won't die without a fight!"

Everyone in squad seven gradually calmed down, more than regaining their composure. Of course, the only one who didn't panic was Ymir, she didn't seem too scared."

"Okay, ready to go," Just as Takashi was about to leave with his squad, a slightly shaky voice sounded behind him.

"Team, I'm coming too..." Daz said with a determined look.

Takashi looked at him for a slight moment and said, "Okay, let's get going."

"I hope you're not dead weight." Ymir said in a cold voice.

"Ymir, don't say anything." Christa immediately scolded her friend.

On the other hand, Mikasa, who was about to stay by Eren's side, was ordered by the rear captain to go to the elite squad to cover the retreat of the civilians and inevitably had to be separated from Eren.

Eren gathered the members of his squad as in the original story, except for Thomas who was now together with Takashi and they went to the front together.

As for why no one asked Takashi to go to the back to help people evacuate, no one remembers the second place. How could they care about the first ten in this situation?

Even if he was called, Takashi would refuse to settle in the rear and leave his team.

On the right side of the center of the Trost district, squad seven was defending the middle.

"There are two titans in front, one is about seven to eight meters tall and the other is about twelve meters tall." Nelson shouted with a cold sweat running down his forehead.

"We'll deal with the closest eight meter titan first!" Takashi said in a deep voice.

"There you are, you hideous thing." Takashi thought to himself. Looking at the eight-meter tall titan that was gradually approaching, this was the first time Takashi observed an ordinary titan up close.

With a tall body, sturdy limbs and a somewhat grim expression due to the huge facial features, Takashi felt a lost sense of fear and trembling in his heart.

His hands sweating, he clenched his swords tightly and took a deep breath. His heart was pounding and he could feel a strong shock of an indescribable feeling running down his back.

When you face titans in real life, you can understand why many people in anime are so scared that they can't even move, some people even leave this world voluntarily.

Anyone who has seen rhinos, elephants and giraffes in zoos knows that when they come into close contact with them, there will be a feeling of physical oppression, even if those animals can't eat people!

The eight-meter titan doesn't sound like it is tall, after all, there are still titans fifteen meters tall. But the eight-meter titan can already reach out and grab you from the roof of a third story like you're a rich ice cream.

Looking at the eight-meter titan that had already swung in his direction, Thomas looked terrified, Nelson gritted his teeth and the hand holding his sword trembled slightly. Ymir unconsciously stood in front of Christa, who had a panicked expression.

Daz, the fellow Daz froze.

"Ha ha ha! Interesting, really this is interesting." Takashi suddenly scoffed nervously.

"Takashi, what's wrong with you?" Christa looked at Takashi in surprise, Ymir, Nelson, Daz and Thomas were also confused.

Is the squad leader scared? Not that scared, is he? The squad leader is very strong, even if he's also nervous, he won't be to the point of not being able to move after all the titan is still a bit far away.

"Whoosh!"

Ignoring them, Takashi used his three-dimensional maneuvering equipment to fly straight towards the eight-meter tall titan and looked at it with an expression in frenzy.

"Wait, don't go there!"

"Come back soon!"

The titan who saw the small prey in front of him stretched out his hands and quickly reached out to catch it!

"Be careful!" shouted everyone in squad seven.

The moment he was about to be caught, Takashi with his Mangekyo Sharingan activated, pressed the switch on the knife handle and moved with precision.

"Ring!"

The anchor shot out from the three-dimensional maneuvering equipment and attached itself to a building next to the titan and with one more shot it flipped into the air behind the titan.

"Whoosh, bang!"

The titan grabbed the air and its arm dragged the tiles to the ground with force.

In the air, Takashi retracted the retractable ropes, only his body pulled back with inertia and the sharp anchor was behind the titan's head in an instant. In the sky, his sudden forward momentum stopped him then sent him straight into the back of the titan's neck at high speed.

"Clean cut!"

The sound of the blade piercing the flesh was heard, Takashi cut the back of the titan's neck in a semicircle with both knives and as a result blood splattered on his uniform.

"Oh!"

The eight-meter titan slowly leaned forward, fell to the ground and kicked up a cloud of dust and seconds later white smoke began to rise from its body.

"Track!"

Takashi stopped on the roof of a building and the warm titan blood on his arm and clothes began to evaporate.

"Indeed, they are not invincible."

"Takashi, are you okay?" Christa and Nelson quickly approached.

Takashi had returned to normal and said, "I'm fine, I was just a little excited at the moment."

"You were just freaking out a moment ago. That was terrible, is that really you?"

Ymir was a little surprised, not because Takashi killed a titan. In fact, she herself was a titan. Before blending in with the people inside the walls, she also used her power to kill some titans.

But just now, when Takashi came in contact with the titan for the first time, he ran towards the titan with a crazy smile on her face. That nervous expression was really scary.

He knew that he had a much more powerful power than any titan, but even without that power his strength was scary.

Takashi who had calmed down shrugged his shoulders and said, "Ymir, you misunderstood, I was just scared of them titans right now, which is very embarrassing, but I'm fine now."

"Now we just need to work together to kill the twelve meter titan. We're lucky there are only two titans nearby."

Ymir rolled her eyes, the two titans are unlucky, I think they are in danger next to a madman like Takashi.

She didn't know that on the other side of the Trost district, all the soldiers of squad thirty or four encountered two abnormal titans, that is, Eren Yearger and Mina's squad. At that point, with the exception of Armin, the entire squad had been eliminated.

Their captain was not to blame, even Eren himself was in the belly of the titan.

Ordinary titans do not have a high IQ, but neither are they static targets. They have eyes to see, ears to hear and hands to grab people.

You can see how fast you can move your hands with all your strength, and if you compare them to the titans they won't be much slower than that speed when grappling!

Therefore, even if it's one member of the Survey Corps, it usually takes three people to cooperate to be able to kill a titan.

Takashi didn't keep talking nonsense here, and the other twelve meter tall titan had already figured them out.

This time he can't play alone, Takashi felt it was time for a team fight, although he could kill the titan alone.

But you should know that even if it's a soldier, there are other people who depend on a squad to survive longer.

"Alright squad seven, you have witnessed that the titans are not invincible. Prepare to eliminate the following target, basic attack formation."

"Yes, captain!" they all shouted and moved towards the titan.
